The bitter truth is that managers at Top clubs need to win certain matches even during the supposed implementation and perfection phases of strategies and tactics...it is part of what makes the job more difficult than managing Blackburn Rovers or Coventry City.

There would be games during which he would just need to be flexible and adapt to the strengths of the players at his disposal

It is what it is!

Hopefully, Amorim has taken some learnings from yesterday's game such that we are able to win the next one.
