Or those dear to him. He owns several riches with which he rewards and makes allies with others. The queen and favorites are made for life because his wealth carries them through. He doesn't really need any woman's wealth. He is amused with gifts, they are entertaining to him, and he rewards those greatly, as long as he is pleased. But he certainly doesn't expect women, noble or common, to give him anything. Most are dying to be with him so as to eat of his wealth.
