I think we have good enough players. by that I mean they are better than our league position suggests. desire is another thing. Casemiro and Erikson pivot is definitely a fail regardless of ability or desire. their positioning was good yet poor mobility meant we couldn't progress through the middle. defensively it ensured gaps appeared there and was exploited. Amorim didn't shout much instructions at the pivot and I know it became apparent to him the pair was a mistake. he didn't want to make a first half substitution either, so Bruno adjusted nearer in the center circle.
the coach was screaming more at players who could be more mobile but were taking easy options, particularly Rashford, Dalot, Amad and Mazraoui
I wouldn't really read much into how the game went until probably after four games. he should have known individual strengths by then I hope.

Flick and Slot had a whole preseason with their respective teams so make una calm down. Amorim also said the club should have restricted the players frok making long trips abroad like Rashford and Casemiro did but no, let's look the other way.

For now, I blame the board for not sacking Bin Laden during the summer so that a new coach can have enough time with the team.

Nothing wrong with Amorin joining now, this is the best time to access his players and not during pre-season imo.
He has seen them in training for few days and now during a proper game, he should be able to identify the talented and serious players from the bums.
He has to get the best out of the bums bald fraud flooded the club with and finish in a decent position at the end of the season, hopefully the club will back him well in July to get his own players in.
He should sha not try that Casemiro/Eriksen combo, or play Amad as a RWB again. Bruno, Garnacho and Fraudlot also need bench time to reset their footballing brain, he should also pay special attention to Trashford.
Maybe Harry Amass will do better as a LWB than fraudlot.

But our aim is not to move from 12th to 8th. Our players might be better than our league position suggests but they are not good enough for our aim of consistently challenging for league titles.

If Amorin also takes the position that the players are good enough and believes he can improve them to start challenging for titles, he will be gone in a short while. We have bought the wrong profile of player for a long time, so the team is filled with players with loads of defective qualities.

We have some players with no legs at all. We have other players with no technical base. We have other players with no work rate. An ambitious team should not have so many players scoring close to zero in some of these areas.

This is what guys here should be outraged about instead of arguing about the coach. A lot of United players are shiiit with bad attitude and the club’s culture allows them to be like that.

How many times has Sancho travelled to the US since he joined Chelsea? United pampers these guys too much and it’s made them unserious. They’ve lost sight of the reason they joined the club in the first place.

It doesn’t matter who the coach is, if Ashworth and co , in conjunction with the coach don’t create the right environment, these guys will continue disappointing.
