A fit Shaw is better than a fit Martinez at LCB because of Martinez weakness defending the flanks solo. The problem is that a fit Shaw is as rare as a dragon.

Mount whose body has been breaking down for the past year will struggle in that wingback role.

That’s the problem. I agree with you about Shaw being a better fit. But I don’t trust him to stay fit or available.

Mainoo-Ugarte also seems a better fit in midfield than Ugarte-Bruno. If Bruno gets the bench continually I think he may adjust. And he’d even become a better player. His ego of being wayward needs to be conquered for him to progress.

Or we could just do away with him completely. It’d be good to see how this team will develop without his indiscipline, tantrum, and yam pepper skatter skatter football.

Mainoo’s mobility is also a concern for the no 10 position. Should be okay if he rotates with Bruno. Everything else looks good

Martinez is not a ccb he can’t play the position. lcb he and Shaw will rotate in that position.
De ligt and maguire in the ccb position. De light can also play the rcb with yoro. I think we do not have a problem with our cb pairing, if they can stay fit. My main concern is that midfield and attack.

While he tries to implement his strategies and stamp his identity on the team, a decent and respectable finish in the league is very much achievable - we are just 3 points from 6th position and it's Brighton that's currently 5th after just 12 league matches ; there are 26 league games left to play, translating to a whopping 78 points still up for grabs!!

To help accelerate the recovery process, It would be of immense benefit if we start tidying up transfer business early enough...possibly from the January TW if some of the targets are available by then. For those that can't join immediately, deals should already be agreed in principle. Dunno why we haven't been looking at players from the South American league but that's another discussion for another day.

As they say, "If you get on the wrong train, be sure to get off at the first stop. The longer you stay on, the more expensive the return trip is going to cost". Putting into context, I think we stayed too long on Bin Laden's train that was laced with explosives. We literally tried to give him enough time to destroy the club

The demands, pressure and expectations associated with managing top clubs has always been there and nothing is changing anytime soon.
The earlier the manager also realises that Man Utd isn't Sporting Lisbon, the better.

Hopefully Amorim's tenure here would be a successful one.

Maresca joined the club before the season started, has had time to understand the players and train with them, including try out different things that didn't work. Remember he was abused during preseason by many Chelsea fans because the team was struggling and playing rubbish at times. He was able to offload those he didn't need and work with those he felt he can't work with because it was preseason

Nah i think it is a competition United should aim to win as it guarantees CL qualification, United can win it if the players are serious enough.

Which League? Lol. We need to focus on Europa League, thats the easiest way back to UCL. What is there in the league to focus that we cant win this season? If I am Amorim i will do Mourinho style on Europa league this season. Then hope for the best in the league. For me winning a Cup this season will be fantastic while looking for a way back into the UCL

I'd prefer we finish as close as possible to top 4, than to compromise a decent finish in the league for some competition in which, by any stretch of imagination, we cant be considered as favorites to win

I think it's easier to even topple the likes of Brighton and co in the league than to think of eliminating teams like Lazio, Ajax and Sevilla
