Osimhen should have had a hattrick if not 4 goals against AZ.

Enjoy nwakali at best 😎😎. We need dis man
Walahi the dude reminds me so much of Mikel Obi (especially those accurate long balls). I want to give up on Nwakali but it's hard to overlook how actually luxurious and talented he is on the ball, he's one player whom I can excuse the league he plays in and actually give him a full chance in the national team, we lack a midfielder of his vision.

My combo if I am called upon to lead the team is to try him as cm , ndidi as cdm and Chrisantus or d guy dt plays in serie B AS AM

I WILL USE IWOBI AS A RW ahead of chukwueze ..bring him in the second half…

By the time we realize the truth staring us in the face, I hope it wont be too late. This obsession over top 5 leagues that hasn't translated to convincing drubbing of supposed minnows in our group needs to end. What we need is square pegs in square holes and not sentiment laden with trial and error. Put the right personnel in their right positions and watch us cook. But no!!! sentiments no gree us see road.

Issorait.... we dey here dey watch

That's exactly what's killing our squad, Morocco don't have a world-class "squad" but have players that suits whatever playing profile they need and that's what makes them a solid "team"...

We're... No, most people here are all about "top 5 leagues" and not all the top 5 leagues players are performing for us in the national team, make una dey play. National team is not club side, you need the best in any position from whatever club he plays for to form your good national team side, as far as he go deliver.

Morocco strikers;
Soufiane Rahimi - Al Ain (Dubai)
El Kaabi - Olympiacos (Greece)
Youseff En-Neysri - Fenerbahçe (Turkey)

Midfielders;
Amrabat (Fenerbahçe).
They have players from Panathinaikos, Al-Ahly, Al-Sadd, Al-Hilal and they're all balling for Morocco.

We... No, most people here dey dey deceive themselves. Or the South Africans that are the second highest scoring team in the AFCON qualifiers are all top 5 leagues players.

Top 5 league players are needed too but trying to make players playing in lower leagues seem like toys na just anyhow reasoning. Too many cooks spoil the broth 🙃

😂😂😂 Qualifiers and tournaments are a different ball game. This same Morocco you are praising now, might not even get out of their group at the nations cup. Wonder why is that a team you blast 7 goals past in the qualifiers; you struggle to even score one during a tournament?
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Truidstarr: 8:59pm On Nov 29, 2024
The same people clamoring for every Tom Dick and Harry to be invited irrespective of where dey play are the same people that will disappear when it becomes a disaster. Those who have trained and worked their asses off to get to the top 5 leagues should be tossed aside for those who are playing for get retirement money. Una well done.

You're just swaying off topic.

They might not get out of their group, that's football for you bro, Senegal seff no pass Round of 16 for last AFCON, we too didn't pass Round of 16 at the 2021 AFCON, don't make it look like na top 5 league players dey win AFCON. DR Congo and South Africa wey reach semifinals of the AFCON no be top 5 leagues carry them reach there.

I'm not against top 5 league players and I'm not clamouring for any player from below top 5 leagues, but the ideolgy of "it must be top 5 league players in the national team" is a wack ideology, very wack.

The Morocco with that squad still performed better than any African country in history on the fkkking biggest stage, and did it in style. They didn't concede a single goal till the semifinals (penalty shootout included). The only goal they conceded against Canada was an own goal. That's a good team for you.

The England, Spain, Germany, France and Italy of this planet, where do they get their players from. Make we no too argue…. It’s not a players problem. It’s a coaching problem.

In the Super Eagles' case, we glaringly have a coaching problem, I agree. Me my own be say I no dey believe say player must be from top 5 leagues to perform for NT.

If we must stick to top 5 leagues, it must be the best, not one player wey dey manage for top 5 league, if you know what I mean, because many people here will applaud even a bench warmer's call up as long as he dey ball for bench for Brentford or Crystal Palace, I no wan call names.

D last World Cup has proven this ur statement to be a false one

If the Croatian 🇭🇷 keeper playing in the Croatian league was not given d chance,aw re we going to knw that he was a fantastic player if Dey av also glued to the top five leagues alone.that keeper was massive during d tournament

Once it's not top 5 leagues, on this thread, the player is automatically useless for the Super Eagles. I remember one day I just talked about Olisa Ndah innocently here, that the guy is good (I didn't say anything about calling him up) I just praised him based on his performance against Sevilla during the preseason, one person (can't remember) just mention me say as long as no be top 5 league, no be Super Eagles material. 😂

We too like play for this thread. 😂
Like I always say, I'm not clamouring for any player, but we go dey watch and support Super Eagles anyhow the tide dey go.

Especially when the team is lagging in a particular position like the midfield, instead of going for a player that best suit that position even if he plays outside the top5 league but no we look for any midfielder in the top5 not minding the midfield position and force him to play.

But they've not been giving us the results we want.

Nobody is saying the top 200 league should be a starter but to give those outside the top 5 league a chance to see if it will work.

We got Nwabali from South Africa and that has helped our course in the goalkeeping department.

Invite persons who can help out and if they show up and are not the solution, we can toss them aside until we find the right personnel to do that.

Nobody is clamouring for a striker outside the top 5 league, nobody is clamouring for a defender outside the top 5 league, nobody is clamouring for wingers outside the top 5 league because the ones we have are trying and then we have others in the top 5 league yet to be tested which they are clamouring for.

Desperate times calls for desperate measures, they've been clamouring for Chrisantus Uche and if he comes in and shore up the midfield, the clamour for Nwakali will surely die a natural death so until we find the right mix, the clamour for players outside the top 5 league might still continue so bear with them.

And we go dey ask why Bashiru never start dey perform for national team - simple, squad never balance! He's playing in a team that doesn't even have a style of play to begin with and you just shove am enter the team to come do wetin? Midfield is too stiff, no fluidity at all, and we expect the players they're shoving in that position to start doing magic. It shows that a particular profile is missing, where they'll get the player with the profile, I don't even care, if they can't get from the almighty "top 5 leagues" then they'll have to go to the "non-top 5 leagues" as those are the only two places to get players from, or we'll just keep on pushing and struggling with whatever problem the Super Eagles are having.
