cole19:For processing delays, you can get in touch with UKVI through paid email and inquire about your application. They will let you know if your application has been processed or not. It will cost you £2.74 to use this method to communicate with UKVI. Below is the link you can use to communicate with UKVI. https://ukvi.mysecurepay.co.uk/Home |

Yosfaolu:Is yours tourist or work? Maybe it’s because of your field because they’ve never contacted my company for any of my tourist Visa. Though they’d use CAC website to confirm the company. |

VISA ALERT FAMILY OF 3 STANDARD VISIT VISA Firstly, the people that set up this thread, God bless and especially those who contribute regular, I dont want to be partial by calling names and leaving others out. But those that are of help, well done and God bless When you're refused Visa and you post the refusal letter, people contribute to help you on the mistakes, and others that are yet to apply gets opportunity to read from previous errors and correct them, accordingly. Note, no two cases are same, but there are similarities. Here's my story. As a family, we always travelled together and our travel period has always been consistent in December, cos of my wife's birthday. From 2015 to 2022, I've done 9 countries Japan, South Africa, Australia, UAE, New Zealand, UAE again, Turkey, France, Saudi Arabia and Italy. My family did half of these trips with me, while I did solo on the others. 2024, we opt for UK. TIME LINE Submitted application to UKVI online around 31st October Biometrics done 8th November, 2024 SENT to UKVI same 8th November, 2024 UKVI sent receipt mail on 12th November, 2024 TLS sent collection mail on 27th November, 2024 Documents Myself, 1. 3 years tax clearance 2. VAT Registration of my company 3. List of Clients my company works for as consultant, that include one very popular and rich Oil and Gas company headquartered in London. 4. Company registration details with active Status on CAC, along with my professional qualifications 5. Self introduction letter 6. Letter of sponsorship by my company. Yes, it's a leisure travel, but my Manager wrote a letter that my own company is sponsoring the trip 7. Submitted 3 company bank statements, one of which is a Dollar account. 8. Company fixed deposit of the total travel fund. In July, we deposited the total travel cost in a fixed deposit account designated travel funds. 9. Personal bank statement for only 3 months, but I carefully pay myself salaries, spending only half of the salary monthly. 10. Letter of invitation from my elder brother, British Citizen. 11. Letter from Uncle (mums younger brother) British Citizen 12. Letters from mum to state my uncle is her younger brother, and that she's the mother of myself and brother, she was in UK in March and attached her entry stamp to UK and exists stamp. 13. Properties title document and a valuation report showing the values of the properties 14. Marriage certificate, all previous visas and all images taken in the 11 countries I've visited, birth certificate Spouse 1. Letter of employment, promotion letter etc 2. Letter from employer confirming approval to travel 3. Her bank statement was not attached cos the account is not tidy at all, but we submitted statements of savings account from a cooperative society, that shows she saves a certain amount from her salary every month. 4. 6 months payslip, showing tax and other deductions 5. Statement from her PFA, Stanbic 6. Marriage certificate, all previous visas and all images taken in the countries visited, birth certificate of son 7. Self introduction letter 8. Letter from UK sponsors, Nigerians sponsor, bank statements etc My son 1. Letter of Introduction from School 2. Receipts showing School fees payments 3. Birth certificate to confirm parents details 4. all previous visas and all images taken in the countries visited. 5. Letter from UK sponsors, Nigerians sponsor, bank statements etc All the documents I submitted in my own application, I uploaded for my spouse and son as well. Reason is that, they sometimes may not give family application to same case officer. They may spread, hence I linked all three together and uploaded the same documents for all applicants. But fortunately for us, I presume it was handled by same case officer as email came in together, same time and hour As regards how much you're willing to spend personally Myself, I put ₦300k (saying company will sponsor all other cost) Spouse, I put £5, saying husband's company will sponsor other cost Son, I put ₦1 saying father will sponsor other cost How much is your sponsor paying Myself, I put the amount My spouse, I put the same amount Son, I put the same amount Then added an addendum that the above sum provided by the sponsor is to be jointly spent by all applicants. Our travel is for leisure, but I still used Company as sponsor, because we have a policy that allows founder to enjoy vacation. If Donald Trump is going on holiday as President of USA, it is state funds that would be used. As Tinubu is buying jet and travelling everywhere, it's on account of Nigeria. So a founder of a company can choose to use company funds for leisure As regards employment, I chose self employed as the founder of a company, then showed tax clearance etc I wish everyone looking forward to this kind of good news well in Jesus name (insha'Allah) |

VISA ALERT God be praised thanks to everyone contributing here especially davodguy and cashmadam. The visa is for my mom but I did everything including documents upload with my phone myself. She is a frequent traveller to Canada where my brother stays but this is her 1st time visiting the UK. She wants to visit my niece who doesn't have any connection as per name to her so we had to back relationship to my niece with letter 9f invitation, letter of introduction and letter of cosponsor from my brother, then attach some old pictures of me, my niece with my mom and my niece and children pictures. I was initially scared cos nothing suggests that we are related since my niece and her children don't have same family names with us. Also my niece doesn't have enough funds in her account to fully sponsor my mom so I had to include my brother in Canada as Co sponsor. My mom is retired and has less than N500k in her account but my brother who acts as cosponsor has enough funds in his Nigeria account. Documents submitted: Letter of invitation from my niece in the UK Copy of her UK passport Her bank account details showing payslips Her tenancy agreement Pictures of her and her children Pictures of her, me and my mom when she visited Nigeria some years ago My mom's bank statement Her retirement documents Her letter of introduction explaining her relationship to my niece and stating details of her visit to see her grand-nieces who she has never met My brother’s Nigeria bank statement Copy of his Canadian passport A well written letter of cosponsorship stating that he will foot the bill of the entire journey from Nigeria to and fro UK Prayers ![]() My submission, Though we didn't really have any tangible proof of relationship but our letters of invitation, cosponsorship and introduction helped. Moreso, my mon is a frequent traveller to Canada and my brother her sponsor has much funds in his account that any country will be tempted to allow his dependent visit them |

| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by davodyguy: 3:43pm On Nov 28, 2024 |
onile1975:I did that in my letter Stated that ticket was xyz, since we would be staying with my brother, I stated nothing for accommodation and feeding, then added $1500 for entertainment/shopping etc In that last column in the form, you can do that |

Cashmadam:Thank you too. Let me single you out. Last year 2023, I started reading your posts about tiding the account and some other things. Hence, I followed this religiously. I intend to state a certain monthly expenses. So what I did was that I spend only that amount monthly and when I need to exceed, I switched to another account. I paid myself Salaries and made sure no other money entered the account I was submitting. As regard fixed deposit, the conversation came up around August here, when someone claimed it was not going to be accepted. You countered and provided a testimony that you once used used for Visa. Hence, I also used it, fixing amount some months ahead of travel and submitting the deposit certificate. It is always good to read. For those who plan to travel in 6 months time (June 2025) read posts and follow suit on account and other things Thanks once again |

donteebalo:This chap just want to dash UKVI another $155 per applicant. They've just been refused earlier this year and he's been told to try other countries to open up a travel history, but he's not listening. I recall him being told that his circumstances has to have improved. Don't like when people are persistent |

@ cashmadam and other gurus in the house please help pinpoint what I can do to rectify this refusal My husband was to be my sponsor I was to travel with my two children aged 17+ and 19+ they were also refused. Do you think this can be rectified and one can reapply? Thanks in advance I put in that I have other savings and investments eg. Pension, money from family...because I ran 18m over six months in my account though most came from money sent into my account by my husband to pay school fees for the children. I am a government worker so salary for now is quite poor.. I saw this thread after we had been denied I put in that I spend 100k monthly Put in 1500 pounds as total cost of the trip which my husband said I should write.

debby106:Having read both refusal letters, obviously you didn't package your application well. I'll give a general advice to people. Start reading this thread from year 2022 to 2024 and you would see similar cases to yours. Read and plan to apply 6 months after. Except if you have a strong travel history, that's when you can take certain things for granted, otherwise, you stand no chance. I sponsored my family and we're granted. My wife also works for Government and we made sure what's stated in the pay slip matches what's in the account. I gave the advice that whether your account is clean or not, write a letter to explain. UK focuses on every in flow and outflows from your account, looking for slightest excuse to refuse. Don't give them that chance by messing up your application. Read the refusal letters and try to correct everything in 6 months, before trying again |
