Who's getting your vote?
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by TheSuperNerd(m): 2:06am On Nov 29, 2024
I don't see the "twin melons" for Luvanga but I see them for Ashley. Damn, this "Trans"/Androgenous women trend is not funny.

2 of the goals nominated came against one GK. Lena Pauels will scoff at this list. 😄

What is the Best Formation, Madugu can select against France?

I have a feeling Madugu will elect for a 4-3-3 formation. Barring last minute injuries, I ween our strongest starting 11 is:

Nnadozie

Alozie — Ohale — Demehin — Plumptre

Ucheibe

Echegini —- Payne

Nkor —- Onumonu —- Babajide

Substitutes
1• Unachukwu
2• Mgbechi
3• Monday
4• Adoo
5• Imuran
6• Oladipo
7• Isah
8• Omewa

Our Local Coaches play a brand of football built on largely formulaic and predictable individual play coalescing into decent team routines (physical/functional football) rather than a well calibrated, highly refined and supremely coordinated group dynamics leading the charge and devolving into unpredictable movements.

Functional football is easy to the eye and very plain. With players who know what they are doing and are very professional, it can cause problems even the most technical team on the planet.

And Madugu has highly competent players who are well versed in the job description of their roles and can raise their individual performance to make functional football effective. The traditional roles of wingers, midfielders, defenders and centre forwards (the cornerstone of physical/functional football) can be performed with class and effectiveness by most of the players invited.

After following closely the outputs of local coaches particularly in the last 5 years, I have come to perish the expectations of seeing tactical football in play. We simply do not have the infrastructure to produce this sort of football. So, hopefully our local coaches can enhance the possibilities inherent in traditional football of the 1970s 80s/90s and select players capable enough to bring modern interpretations to bear.

So, I am looking to see how things play out.

Things not clear for now, we had little options due to VIsA..

Maureen doesn’t need Visa, she’s in France 🇫🇷 and I do believe Edna doesn’t need visa either.

I hope their Brain is working well for now… Game against France should be treated with caution. France isn’t Slovakia, Serbia or Romania you can mess with.

First, I hope this game ends with a respectable score. The NFF however is an unserious organisation. We are building on sand and it's unfortunate cause our football will suffer for it.

Why exactly are we yet to get a substantive coach by now? If they feel convinced about Justin then they should appoint him. Let him start inviting players of his choice and build the team to fit his philosophy. Right now we are just gambling and making a mess of opportunities playing a world power like France will afford a substantive coach to build a team.

This man has handled 3 games or so and half the team from the previos game do not participate in the next (someone fact check this). How does this help us? It's sometimes tiring supporting Nigerian football.

Not sure if both M. Alozie and Echegini have ever played as deep-lying playmakers or defensive midfielders before today

Not correct, put Alozie in her RB position…

Ucheibe as DM, with Payne and Echegini doing equal work in Midfield (CM)

Man....Nigeria has gotta start developing DLP/Registas/ Players who are actually good with the ball at their feet etc. across all age grade/team. Being a Midfielder isn't all about ball winning and running around.

See how Calm Ashleigh is with the ball at her feet....The Rest just treats it like hot potato or a grenade 😂😂😂

Liking the game so far....We do take the initiative to attack at least, but need to tighten up at the back.... Amaka has bailed us out couple time.
