In an anonymous post to popular social media influencer @wizarab10, he recounted how the lady’s actions left him feeling overlooked.

The man revealed that the woman paid for her transportation and clothing expenses for the outing, which he appreciated. However, things took a surprising turn when she ordered food only for herself during the date.

“I went on a date with a girl, our very first date and she paid for her clothings and transport. When we got there, we spoke for over an hour and she was listening though. Then, she suddenly called the waiter and ordered meat pie and ice cream for herself and she was eating and listening to me. Isn’t that callous? She didn’t even ask me whether I’m hungry, she just ate, listened and replied me,” he wrote.

He concluded the post by asking followers for advice on whether he should continue pursuing the relationship, humorously adding, “Should I fling?”

She expected the guy to do the needful but he failed and she did right by herself. What is the crime there? If the guy is someone with noble instincts, he will get the point, ask the waiter to bring same order for him with all the budget on him.

But what I don't understand is the point of she paying for her dress. Did they decided to wear "aso ebi" or a new dress must be bought for a first date?

You missed the point. The girl was confident and wasn't waiting for the guy to order her food. She could have been a bit conscious and ask him if he wasn't planning on getting something to eat (not sure is she asked or not).

This must be in Kenya, Uganda or any of these East African countries. That's how they behave there. They share the bills when they go on a date, buy their own individual drinks etc.
Nigerians don't have that useless culture. A man asserts his dominant role and foot the bills of whatever a woman eats or drinks on a date. Infact, you dare not invite a woman for any outing if you're not buoyant enough.
However, if truly this story actually happend in Nigeria, which I still doubt, the the man is a complete idiot and a fool.
There's no difference between you and the woman that you invited, because women are always there to eat and drink as if they won't see tomorrow.

I think both of them have not courtesy. Ideally the guy should make the orders or ask if she wants to order but didn't take the initiative and the girl taking her order should atleast ask the guy to make his own request along side hers even though she's taking the initiative for him maybe he got carried away or forgot.

It's basic table etiquette. Both of them are mannerless.

I like such cerebrally strong ladies. To hold a conversation for more than an hour without ordering for Hennessy and Shawarma on the guy's head. She was looking for content. She didn't order something expensive showing prudence and not wanting to destabilize the man especially if he doesn't have money (from her assessment).
The guy might lose her if he ruminates too much on such flimsy things.
As she communicated mental strength, he should have complemented with emotional strength by apologizing for not asking what she will take, as her if she will take more than the meat pie (even if you don't mean it), and offer to pay.
