The angels dropped off their materialized bodies and returned to heaven the spirit realms but God didn't allow them to join His loyal spirit sons again and they were disengaged awaiting judgement.

They are the spirits that the death of Jesus has a deep meaning for because he was one of the spirit sons of God and they don't know that it's possible for them to die like humans since they are like God in nature! Psalms 82:6-7

My God, it's all over the Bible. I have cited the Parable of Abraham, Lazarus and the rich man. I've cited the Book of Revelation where there were souls under the altar. I've cited Saul and Samuel. And there are several other scriptures which I cannot presently remover that makes us know that men turn to spirits when they die. Even Maxindhouse once said Jesus resurrected as a spirit before he was shown the scriptures that proves Jesus resurrected as a living body. He resurrected with His body. The life giving Spirit dwells in that resurrected body. We too will resurrect with that same type of body if we die before Jesus comes.

Man is Consciousness(God') +Body made from Dust of the earth.

When man's number is up..the Consciousness leaves and becomes one with God. And we bury the body (after some ceremony) for it to return back to the earth and the body becomes one with the earth.
