I mean they refused me 5 times before, so on the 5th refusal I send them long mail with explanations which they said I have no right of appeal but I escalate it and subsequently they sent a mail that the refusal is overturned, so my passport is with the embassy now for the visa. They told you to submit your passport and still refused you?
|

davodyguy:Yeh. I understand you. That's why I want to wait for up to 8months to build consistent income. I'll say I'm in a salaried employment this time. My question is: will it be a problem if I claim I'm in a salaried employment now. Meanwhile in my previous application I said I was self employed.? |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by davodyguy: 7:54pm On Dec 04, 2024 |
stefanimay:What did you state in your current application that was refused? You have to be consistent |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by davodyguy: 7:55pm On Dec 04, 2024 |
SIMON78:Now I get. You'll surely be granted. There's a woman here that has similar refusal based on erroneous perception by the ECO |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by davodyguy: 8:00pm On Dec 04, 2024 |
Jolene474:We've already told you what to do. Highlight all the errors and mail them. Itemize paragraph by paragraph. If you can do this we'll, you'll be granted. Read the above post. They can overturn erroneous decisions with you reapplying. Just follow and advise and stop emphasizing what you've already explained here and we all now understand that there's a mix up. The person that you should address now ASAP is the UKVI clearly written mail/letter |

Seeking assistance with a GTB Dollar card issue. My friend recently used their GTB Dollar card to pay for a UK application fee in Pounds and noticed a significant disparity in the conversion rate, with an excess of over $40. Can anyone shed some light on the potential hidden charges or fees associated with this transaction? |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by gateleo(m): 12:38pm On Dec 05, 2024 |
Nairae:I used my USD Card too but was charged $150. and service fee of $5.3. I really don't know why they charged you $40. |

Adekanyin39:For a program less than 9 months, she will be applying for a visitor’s visa and that doesn’t require a TB test. |

Please, has anybody gotten visa since the switch from TLS to VFS? What is the new average processing time? |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 3:52pm On Dec 05, 2024 |
Makaegbobi:TLS and VFS are merely partners for biometrics, document upload, courier service, lounge access etc; they don’t participate in the decision-making process and have no control over processing times. UKVI is the one processing visas. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Makaegbobi: 4:16pm On Dec 05, 2024 |
giselle237:Okay, thank you. I know that they don't have influence on the decision process but I noticed that visa decision news has been a little scarce since the switch. I was wondering if the transition is causing delays with receiving a visa decision. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by hunee: 5:04pm On Dec 05, 2024 |
ofcourse, it may take sometime for regularization, however it is not an issue as your emails are very much active for notifications viz-viz the transitioning Makaegbobi: |

Seeking feedback from users of First Bank Visa Multi-Currency Debit card: Have you used this card to pay for UK visa fees? If so, did you experience any issues or challenges during the transaction process? Your insights would be greatly appreciated. |

Hello guys, how much does it cost to run a 10pages passport in the UK now? |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by davodyguy: 9:17pm On Dec 05, 2024 |
Nairae:Some banks do this a lot, when you're using a card denominated in a different currency to pay for a service in another currency. Zenith showed me pepper in Rome, while I withdraw €100 from ATM and was charged more after conversion. Sterling bank is another bank that does this. As I'm going to the UK now, I'll rather do exchange with Aboki with my cash in hand, than use my $ in London |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by davodyguy: 9:27pm On Dec 05, 2024 |
hunee:Nope. Application centres are not proxy to consulate Hence, there's no regularisation needed on submitted applications. As regards his/her question, processing time has nothing to do with any of the VAC and the ongoing transfer. TLS will close down completely on 19th December, after which documents would be formally transferred to VFS. Until then, those that submitted via TLS, would still get contacted by TLS up till 18th December 2024 to come pick up their passports. If you didn't receive a decision by Midnight 18th December, 2024 you'll be contacted by VFS from 19th via mail Makaegbobi:Let's say you did biometrics with TLS in November, 2024 you'll still be contacted by TLS till 18th December, 2024. But if you don't pick up from them, they'll send your passport to VFS office in the same Ikeja, VI or Abuja where VFS operates from |

Hello everyone Asking on a behalf of a friend He applied for UK visitor visa along side his son(a minor) and his wife. Their appointment is for tomorrow but 2 people are for 9am and 1 person is for 2pm Unfortunately he’ll be traveling from another state to arrive in Abuja tomorrow. Will they all be allowed to enter the visa center if they show up at 2pm ? Thank you |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by davodyguy: 10:01pm On Dec 05, 2024 |
stefanimay:You have to be consistent. They'll look for every reason to refuse you and claim inconsistency. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by davodyguy: 10:05pm On Dec 05, 2024 |
Summerbutterfly:If you said he's trying to enter with his wife and son at same time despite having same time, I'll say that's very possible, as I did this exactly with TLS. Our time slots were for same day, but we different times on that day, but managed to enter together, using the earliest time of obe the applicants. As regard later time, he would be allowed due to his afternoon time, except he finds luck. This is VFS now, not TLS. I don't know how nice they are or otherwise |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by hunee: 10:37pm On Dec 05, 2024 |
davodyguy:David, I wrote in very simple and clear English. Yes or No, is not the issue. Relax The concerned person has picked the info he wants. Notifications on applications comes viz viz Tls/vfs and the UKVI either ways, you will get notified. Simple. You can carefully read the trail of texts again to understand the inquiries. Regards. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by davodyguy: 11:42pm On Dec 05, 2024 |
hunee:I read and understood clearly. If you read my response and being mindful of what I highlighted in your post regularisation, you would have seen that's what I addressed. There's nothing to be regularised here, that's why I stated below, and beyond just your post but for anyone else that could be anxious pertaining to if the switch from one VAC could affect outcome, timelines or collection. What I addressed is more on calming to those who my be worried TLS will close down completely on 19th December, after which documents would be formally transferred to VFS. Until then, those that submitted via TLS, would still get contacted by TLS up till 18th December 2024 to come pick up their passports. The above transcend your post without ambiguities, which I expected you to have read and understood, to include other queries that may come to the mind of applicants. Around 20th November, had similar questions if there could be mix up, until I read clearly how seamless the transition was between the two VACs and how it would not impact applications already submitted |

| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by MrSoftlife(f): 4:22am On Dec 06, 2024 |
salehmm567:If you are saying that your biometrics payment hasn't been reflected in your dashboard, I will advise you to contact both your bank and vfsglobal. I'm currently facing a similar battle trying to recover my biometrics fee from vfsglobal. I was asked to copy the URL when the site crashed on me after successfully paying for my biometrics. |
I read and understood clearly. @ David, @ Gurus in the house: • I have a few enquiry, I was looking to get clarity… Our proof of funds is my foreign bank account, am I able to submit it for my daughters’ application here in Nigeria? • I can’t remember the reason for an initial visa application for another country, my answer to Reason for refusal is vague; any thoughts? |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Cashmadam: 6:56am On Dec 06, 2024 |
Summerbutterfly:Maybe, maybe not. Depending on who is for 2pm. If their son is for 2pm, they may allow the parents in as I assume their son is a minor. |
