So this guy and his wife had been married for about 10 years with two children: a 5-year-old boy and a 2-year-old girl. He thought the relationship was going great and all, and they weren't having any kind of disagreements.

One day, he noticed his wife would lock her phone whenever he would come close to her. Like, she had been doing it, but he just noticed it all of a sudden. So when she went to sleep one night, he checked her phone.

He found out she had been cheating with one of her co-workers. There were explicit messages and pictures sent between them, and he found out that they had been sleeping together all the times she told him she was going to be working overtime.

He confronted her, and she denied it at first, claiming he was reading meaning to what was just an ordinary text between friends until he began to read some of the texts aloud. She admitted her crime and apologized, but claimed she did it because he was distant and all.

This guy couldn't take it. He starts stalking her and finds out that she and the co-worker even have a rented house where they go to stay sometimes, and in fact, the whole office knows they are in a relationship.

So he packs all her things, goes to her office when everybody is there, drops everything right there and tells her not to come back to his house again.

His friends think he should have just divorced her quietly and not have embarrassed her publicly like that.

Different people with different ways of reacting. He was probably hurt emotionally, and lost his sense of reasoning.

On the other hand, the public embarrassment might seem too harsh and irrational, but then some married women would think twice before giving in to the idea of cheating when they remember the embarrassment cheaters get.

That wasn't necessary. Since she and the alleged lover have a rented apartment for their escapades why not just send her away permanently so they go enjoy themselves. Good riddance to that okpo.

It’s quite possible she created the impression that she was single, keeping everyone in the office unaware of her marriage. So nobody felt the need to tell her husband and they probably thought she and the colleague were legit engaged or something.
