Actually,your post up there made me want to sow into your life until I went through your other posts. Sometimes I sow seed in people's life for reasons best known to me here. Been doing it since i joined this forum. Thats one of the reason i joined the forum. I just pick a monicker and we do our deal and zip our mouth. It doesn't matter if you are working or not.

Since I dropped meat and processed groceries, my body just feels differently

Are you doing the not eating till dinner or is it the alternating variety?
But keep at it, you'll get used to it.
Started with a 3 day, thought I couldn't make it, then a 7, thought I couldn't make it, now the supposed 14. But have to cut it short at 12 so I can refeed since I'm traveling next week and need to make sure my stomach is in order. lol.

Have been deciding if seeing these food pics are helping or hurting.

Tried vegan for a couple of years.
Wasn't easy to maintain.
But did feel a change body and energy wise as well.

In terms of people eating anything they see, for some it is out of necessity. Going Vegan was more expensive.

I drink water and juices in the day when I feel hungry and eat by 4pm in controlled portions

One pan stir fried veggies and shredded chicken breast mixed with fried Irish potatoes.

Made winter kimchi.
Palate does change. Can't believe that I will love incorporating soured stuff in my meals. Kimchi don't taste good at all. It's very soured and fermented. The more it stays,the more it ferments but it is one of the most healthiest food on planet earth on the level of saucruest. Between the two, I don't know which one has the highest microbes.
Aside cardiovascular diseases, respiratory is one the leading diseases we have and when we protect our guts and orifices, we reduce our trip to the doctor or self medication
I suffer from cold, flu and upper respiratory tract infections always especially in this cold place. I have to join the crew in eating this and now I love it so much. Can't remember when last I was hit by those stuff. Flu jab don't even work for me.
Eat healthy to stay healthy folks.
Iru, ogiri and dawadawa is the only fermented stuff we have. Pammy and ogi/ pap/ akamu water.
Our ancestors know. Go back to cooking with them. South east asians have the highest life expectancy for a reason. All those fermented smelly things their ancestors developed and use to cook, they never discarded them rather they improved and is exporting them to the world to enjoy their benefits but most of us hate ogiri, dawadawa and iru. My south east people take note. It's Maggi/ knorr cube for everything.( don't come for my head. I know cos I do that too)
Good gut health means no yeast infection. Both man and woman. We still believe it's sexually transmitted and many relationship has been broken cause of that.
It's too much carb( sugar) in the system and that destroys the ph balance of the body. When that happens, the bad bacteria multiply more than the good ones and we have stuffs like yeast infection.( very simple explanation for a complex stuff )
Our humid weather don't help either.

Get the kids to eat this with noodles,veggies and some protein of choice.
