This has been happening for while now, and it hurts when I blink my eyes, like something is stabbing my eyeball, and when I looked into the mirror, I see this object, it looks like a hair stuck in my eyeball. It will go away in the morning and comes back in the afternoon. I've used eyedrop but it's still coming back.

Pls what does that mean?

Nairaland is not Eye Hospital. It is dangerous for you to leave the eye untreated. The eyes are delicate. Kindly see a Eye Doctor immediately.

Wait. I said not all. Are you saying every worm or maggot in your body is beneficial?
Educate me, why do we have de-worming tablets?

Again, are you saying every single type of worm and maggot you have is good for you?
I am humble.

Name of your school ?
Kings College, Lagos, Founded in 1909.

I attended well over 30 years Ago.

Now, please you really need to drop the pomposity.

The truth is that it is ridiculous to claim that worms and maggots are beneficial in the body.

Here's a quick extract for you -

-----
No, not all worms and maggots in the human body are beneficial. In fact, most are harmful parasites that can cause various health problems.

Here's a breakdown:

Beneficial Worms: There are no documented cases of worms naturally living in the human body that offer any benefit.

Harmful Worms and Maggots: These are parasites that invade the body and cause harm. Some common examples include:

Tapeworms
Roundworms
Pinworms
Hookworms
Maggots (larvae of flies, often found in wounds)
These parasites can cause a variety of symptoms, including:

Abdominal pain
Diarrhea
Nausea
Vomiting
Weight loss
Fatigue
Skin rashes
Anemia

------

Now beyond the above, myaisis is known as the infestation of maggots in the body. It is very harmful.

Please educate yourself.

Now, please name your own school and make your own case. I dey hear.

Even if it is cataract, it's not that serious.
However it's too sudden to assume cataract.
It's most likely an object stuck the eyes.
The eyes is that sensitive.

To the writer, visit an ophthalmologist.

Oga, I pointed out what I extracted, I highlighted it so that it is clear I didnt write it.

But thats not all I gave you.

I gave you the disease caused by maggots and gave you a Britannica link.

So, in summary, I think we now know who is pompous for nothing, silly, ignorant and makes presumptions.

You asked for my school, I gave you.

Look, learn a little humility.

If you were serious you would simply point out the worms and maggots that are beneficial, which you claimed, and for which you started insulting me for nothing.

You're well over 40 years old according to you. I mean you attended kings college more than 30 years ago. Why are you wasting your time arguing with a kid?

Someone openly said that all warms are good because he didn't skip biology class, kept asking which school you attended yet you kept on engaging him?

Not everyone is worth arguing with. Asking you which school was the greatest red flag.

I hear you, I just felt it was dangerous allowing a kid go around believing that. Of course I knew he was not just a kid, but one who is poorly schooled. Hence my patience.

It sounds like you might have a foreign object stuck in your eye, which is causing you discomfort and pain when you blink. The fact that you can see something that looks like a hair stuck in your eyeball suggests that there's likely something lodged in there.

Given that the issue persists despite using eyedrops, it's possible that the object is still present and needs to be removed by a medical professional. I strongly recommend that you visit an eye doctor or a hospital emergency department to have it checked and removed.

In the meantime, try to avoid rubbing your eye or attempting to remove the object yourself, as this could cause further irritation or even damage to your eye.

Some possible complications of having a foreign object in your eye include infection, scarring, and even vision problems, so it's essential to get it checked and treated as soon as possible.

Oh that's a good reason. Kids must be shown patience but he was really getting on my nerves. I mean how can all warms and maggots be beneficial to health. That's a very ridiculous statement to make even as a young illiterate.

Dip your head in a bow or bucket of clean water and open yours eyes for some seconds as far as you can hold your breathe.

Leave your eyes open for some seconds and blink. Repeat the process, you might get lucky at the 1st trials.

My mom taught me this and it has helped me a lot.

Go to an eye hospital. I had a similar case. Turned out a tiny piece of metal got it my eye. Each time I blinked, it will prick my eyelid. It was very painful and tears was continuously coming out from my eye. They used an Instrument to keep my eye open and used a needle to remove the object under local anaesthesia.
This is what you should do.

Stop buying eye drops anyhow please.
