Still grid light...waiting patiently for my cable delivery. I'm not comfortable with using NEPA light to charge. It sometimes changes gear...paka...have you noticed something like that?
Well, I use a voltage regulator for my flat, so I don't get that sound often. I guess it must be the relays trying to adjust to the change of current.
I guess the grid issue did not affect everybody as I've only had 2 hours of nepa light in the past 72 hours.

Okay...you can follow Nigeria National Grid on X. Except on weird days of consistent rain fall, my intention is to charge via solar only 95% of the time.

Definitely, enjoy!
do you know my inverter went into error mode when I powered it on with the inverter.

What I did now is first power on the fridge with my gen then change over with speed before the inverter could carry it.

How do I go about this? It's an Inverter fridge with running watts of 65w

Anybody raised a warranty claim before? My unit that I just got stopped charging and the AC output isn't coming on either.

I used it fine without issues then yesterday, after power was restored I connected it and as usual, the unit detected the charger and came on but I did not hear the fan so I checked and noticed it wasn't charging. Tried different sockets in my house, still didn't detect the charger. When I tried to use the AC outlet, noticed that one sef wasn't working. There is a notification to update firmware on the app but when I try to update, it gets stuck at 50% and fails.

First of all, check for any error codes on the device screen, see if any icon besides the Bluetooth icon is on the screen.
If none and no error code (in red) is on the screen, then proceed to Unlink the delta 2 from your Ecoflow app, Uninstall the app from your phone, if you're an android phone user, make sure all that's related to the app is deleted, search your files manager and then delete anything related to the app.
Now, reinstall the app, don't do anything, long press the power button for about 10 seconds and then watch it turn on twice, now link the device with your just reinstalled app, go to power management and see if any limit is set, if none, now update the firmware and your troubles should be over afterwards, while updating the firmware make sure your device (delta 2) is also connected to the internet through a WiFi and you're not just connected to it through your phone's Bluetooth.

@Babatundehy, is it compulsory to update firmware if not prompted? Coz I want it at the factory firmware setting so I can use it in peace...not all these wàhálà and stories I hear concerning firmware tampering with some stuff. Reason I've not connected it via Wifi to the internet yet.

I updated my own firmware the first 10 mins I had with it lol, but no need to do that if you're not prompted, the commenter above clearly has firmware issues, he can find other users who have had the same issue on the Ecoflow subReddit and Facebook groups, the troubleshooting I stated above are what I saw on those groups, on the firmware, again, if it is working great why update it? If all is well I say leave it alone.

Thanks for the advice, l am surely looking to add a breakers to avoid such a scinerio
Will appreciate if you have can share an image of how you coonected the breakers

Babatundehy:
I had that thought, @twosquare and everyone else with a unit, make sure to run your wires coming from the solar panel through beakers for additional protection during the rainy season, no wahala if you will always be around to unplug the solar side.

Your update wasn't successful bro, that has to be fixed, I believe nothing is wrong with the hardwares of your delta 2, you have firmware issues. Give me some time to check for the fix.

Have you updated your firmware successfully in the past? Does the unit still turn off by long pressing the power button? Can you still turn it off?

I really hope it's just firmware o because the thought of going through the whole warranty claim process is tiring. Although I've contacted their support team for assistance and sent a video explaining my plight. They are yet to respond and quite slow. Resolving this without returning it would be awesome.

Thank you for your assistance Babatundehy

From what I have gathered, the issue is a common issue, just more common among users of delta family, it's a failed update like you already know. Would you prefer a summary of a solution I found on Reddit or want the link?

I might not be around when you get on, so look at these,
Summary, if you are using a phone hotspot or mifi/router , make sure whatever internet source isn't plugged into the delta 2, unplug all cables going in and getting out of the delta 2.
Go to apkpure find an older version of the Ecoflow app
Install it, log into your Ecoflow account and try to restart the failed upgrade, some say it prompted automatically, others went into the firmware update tab to initialize it, after this they then went to the playstore to update the app to the latest version and then everything went back to normal, without playing around with these fixes it does seem your until will not run, not actually complicated, good luck and make sure your internet device always has data and power as I've learned the new Ecoflow app makes the device want to automatically update, a bad internet connection or an interrupted process could cause this. It does seem staying connected only with Bluetooth will keep one away from these troubles.

Thank you for your help. I've downloaded several versions and tested but no breakthrough. The version that you shared does not have delta 2 in list of devices nor does it find it via Bluetooth. I've spent most of the day on this, neglecting my day job 😩

Yes, i understand it can be frustrating, you must keep trying, check other versions of the app, when you are full and have showered take time to read that Reddit page I shared and see if something changes.

What's your panel distance to device? If it is more than 10 metres then that cable in the link up here isn't the best for you, 14AWG isn't thick enough.

My need is making me look out for so many things. I am thinking of buying cables and then making the charger myself. I am seeing links of the ports. Seeing the desired length ready made is a big problem and this is making me think out of the box

People buy solar extension cables, they don't go for the full length needed on the mc4 to x60, my advice, get the shortest and thickest mc4 to Xt60 cable you can find and then extend with solar extension cable (DC cable) this info can be he found a few pages back in this thread.

I had the same thought before I was shared a link to a seller's page on jiji, I had even ordered these xt60 plugs on Konga then (the price on Konga is about 8-9k I think), I didn't use them because the soldering must be perfect, you see, on the mc4 to xt60 cable running it all the way from the panel to your device, the insulation on the solar extension cable is better, double shield versus single.
