Please What Is Ringing by Nobody: 2:25pm On Dec 13, 2024*

my old honda crv engine i just bought has been disturbing, the mechanic asked me to ring it.
he charged 200k for it
when he showed me what he bought, I only saw rings.
are these rings that expensive? is 200k an ok price to pay for ringing a 1999 to 2000 honda crv
lastly please what exactly is ringing?

Most of the cost into workmanship... It is atedious process

If you know what’s good for you. Go return that ring. Its a waste of time. And resource.

Even a toks savage engine is far better. Go and buy engine and don’t ring that engine. Swap that old engine and balance with that money.

The last toks engine I got about 2years back,after 7months it started smoking. I did not panic,went to my mechanic who had a borescope,and by the time we saw the top of my pistons crown.it was dirty,burnt with a lot of gunk,even engine flush cannot reach chamber.had to soak it for good 5days,b4 I sold it,I did not see any more blue smoke again. Naija fuel with oil with seize your piston rings within 5months

after speaking to the guy that wanted buying the gear he changed, I noticed the mechanic run me better street. They said he removed something called converter from the gear he removed. He even got another 50k as workmanship and was still asking me to drop the gear box that's not useful again.

What is KF vendors? I was told same thing,that most toks engine in Ladipo are ringed.

Stop fooling ypurself,the engine don go. I always tell ppl,unless your piston rings broke,and for it to break it means the oil dried up completely. Carbon build up is an engine killer. Carbon build up from bad adulterated fuel in naija.
