It's okay, but too long, I think...how high is the area from panels to your unit? It looks like you and Babatundehy are overthinking this thing...

Please can this be used huh

Babatundehy:
People buy solar extension cables, they don't go for the full length needed on the mc4 to x60, my advice, get the shortest and thickest mc4 to Xt60 cable you can find and then extend with solar extension cable (DC cable) this info can be he found a few pages back in this thread.
I think I'd go with this but how do I join the solar extension cables to the mc4 to xt60

One thing I know is that as we progress and the market for power stations expand. All these things will become readily available in everyday market

That advice is based on the assumption the querier already got the delta pro which has solar input capacity of 1600 watts, if this person buys thin wires (worse, over a long distance) because say for now a panel of 550watts will be installed and then more will be added later, when the day comes, that cable will be useless, as there will be a huge voltage drop due to high resistance when more solar panels are added, even risk of a fire. 14AWG shouldn't be used even with the delta 2, always better to go thicker, even thicker than is needed, the other way round almost always comes with consequential damage or efficiency loss. There might be no effects if the 14AWG MC4 to XT60 cable in the link is 1metre and then solar extension cable of appropriate thickness is used. The MC4 to XT60 cable hydronium and I bought was 1 meter and 12AWG.
The outside protection on the solar extension cable is sure better than what you have on that link, that looks like very cheap material that'll degrade in a very short time with heat and rain hitting it, attached is a picture of the solar extension cable I used.

A reason why you need a switch or be there to unplug the solar cable, yesterday, I left my switch in the on position ( means power will flow from the panel to the power station), I had 35 percent on it and at about 7:45am this morning , I had 6 percent left, no load all this time, it does appear if your panel is supplying less than minimum voltage of charge to your power station, then your battery will get drained won't charge, as it was for me before the day got really bright, again, no load, and the AC on button wasn't pushed.
Hydronium and I cut the MC4 part off and just joined it directly to the solar extension cable, I ran mine through a changeover switch and that's it.

Well, I don't know the full details of his setup, that's why I said overthinking...but even for 1 metre, 14AWG should not be considered, 12 AWG below is good, and for such long metres, he should go for 10AWG
Re: I Bought This Powerbank For 1.2 Million Naira PHOTOS by Hydronium(m): 9:17am On Dec 14, 2024
Same here. I cut off the MC4 end of my xt60 cable and used a 4mm (14Awg) cable to extend it to the solar panel. Buying a long xt60 cable was an expensive and pointless option

Hi Bro, what’s your experience so far with Josh Product?

Mine has served me well enough for the reason I bought it so far. Except the issue of PWM not being efficient and my 360Watts panel outputting just 80Watts, I don’t feel it much since I have Nepa.

Mine has been very positive bro, I've upgraded twice cos my power needs kept increasing.

Everything I've upgraded so far.

Initially bought the 718wh system before upgrading to the 1280wh system

Upgraded the 60a pwm that came with the 1280wh system to a 30a mppt controller.

Upgraded the 1kva pure sine wave inverter to a 1.7kva mopower pure sine wave.

I run all appliances now during the afternoon including fridge and reduce load to a max of 100w once it's 7pm.

One thing I commend josh for is his batteries, mehn that battery is a tank. He has been in the game for so long and his battery builds are high grade.

My battery holds at 13.0v for like 6hrs of consistent 100w load. That's crazy. I've never ran this battery down except one time while I was still on the pwm controller.

Wow. Great! Omo I actually like the fact that I have light 24/7. Only one night that this system died, and I was really afraid it was always gonna be like that (I carried too much load). I charge all my appliances during the day too, and use light loads at night.

our light here is terrible, I’m 90% dependent on solar now, we barely get 2hrs of light here. Sometimes there’d be light but I’d still be running from the inverter cos i know the light won’t last.

Yes, it is. Maximum amps for delta 2 is 15. Maximum voltage is 60.

Ok because the max amp I was seeing at the back of the panels was way above 15

51.4v is closer to 60v. Jinko is better but you can still use this. Just be extra careful..

The cable just landed this evening from Temu. Let me now answer seanwilliam.

I will test it tomorrow. This is 3 meters. I hope this can reach my panel to window sha. Anyway, the panel wire connector should offset some shortage but then, positioning matters. See the attached.

So, I can now answer you because this is my first time of using Temu, which I know it's legit though, but I can't vouch when I'm yet to receive my stuff. So, I did this evening. Ordered December 4th evening. Now, they delivered today (20th). Delivery is in Osun State. So, everything is good with their delivery outside Lagos so far. I was to pick it at a central location, but the person brought it to me while closing for the day, since his path is along my street.

That's my experience so far. Thanks.

Is there additional charges for the pickup/ delivery? I mean after I make payment on Temu, is there other payment I’ll make after my stuff reaches Nigeria ?
I want to buy some phone accessories from there.. so I want to know what and what’s not to do plus hidden charges so I’ll calculate my profit ahead
I appreciate and God bless you for me.
