My concern is a better Nigeria which he's promised.... And looking at the steps so far, I believe he will achieve it.

Man is very intelligent and knows how to romance the entire North.

I doubt iff any Southerner will be able to handle the North the way Tinubu is doing.

No wonder Kenneth Okonkwo left Peter Obi,...

The creation of the regional commission is a step forward to regional government.
I still don't understand the correlation of his unproductive economic policies and the romance of the north. People are drying up due to hunger and u are saying romance with North.

I know a lot about it,they didn't suffer like this even after shutting economy from other countries
China's economy was controlled as against ours where it's free market.....if we were to enact the policies done by China at the time, people like you would have been crying how evil tinubu is.

Neighbouring Ghana went through same radical reforms during the Rawlings years where the economy was totally recessed but they had to dig themselves out of it and a lot of positives can be seen afterwards.....or you were part of that too?
Re: Economy Responding Positively To My Policies —Tinubu by adonainana:
From a neutral point of view
I think he inherited a difficult situation
Debt to revenue ratio was 97%
Dollar to naira rate was at 870 but this wasn’t the real rate

Due to the world oil crisis in 1980 and Nigerians not to suffer, the real value of the naira versus the dollar was being artificially supported by CBN monthly interventions

Basically what tinubu stopped was what perhaps abacha regime or obj should have done but didn’t and couldn’t

The real rate of naira to dollar is now about 1,700 naira which is hard to believe to a lot of people who have built their wealth in naira

What tinubu done a year ago a lot of countries have done in the past and escaped which are Argentina , Thailand, etc I think the only counties who stopped artificially defending thier currency versus the dollar and messed up were Venezuela and Zimbabwe

I’m summary Nigeria economy can now just restart and restart at fresh. Basically what tinubu done was press the RESET button which obviously without doubt caused a lot of ripple effects and a lot of poverty in the land

Right now if you are a business man in Nigeria think about it , think about during Nigerian civil war between 1967-1970 . After the ibos
Lost and were awarded £20 compensation each and most lost all thier investments and wealth confiscated by the Nigerian government

See how the ibos bounced back and built thier wealth back again ever since . Most ibos living in the east today are more wealthy than some other parts of Nigeria and this people lost everything after the civil war

This only tells you one thing . It’s now time for Nigeria to grow and grow its economy , for a new middle class to emerge

The Reset button tinubu pressed a year ago might require 5 years fix but 5 years will come and go

And like play like play Nigeria economy will grow and grow to new levels again after this period

And the good news is there would be nothing artificially being defended again

In other words , naira can never lose against the dollar ever again because it was artificially being defended for 40 years

So there was never a time naira to dollar was 150 . It was artificial ally being defended by the govt of the day

So all those people selling thier properties for cheap and running away I feel sorry for those ones .

Only if world war 3 starts today , even if that starts I don’t think it will make the dollar gain against the naira in the proportion it did these last few years

Once again the naira and dollar value was never the true value

But this doesn’t mean people must not be productive and just be looking oooo , it’s time to grow , invest , build something in Nigeria , export something Garri , Cocoa, groundnut , oil , uncle dangote has started exporting petrol to other African countries

In 5 years time Infact in 3 years time please everybody save this post , Nigeria will be quite different

Besides I am opening up a cassva ethanol factory in Ibadan , some Chinese companies are waiting for it to be exported out message me for more details

You are merely grasping at straws.

In fact, you seem to be the only remaining BATerian who has yet to come to terms with the fact that Tinubu has absolutely nothing positive to offer Nigeria. Like the devil, Tinubu only came to steal, kill, and destroy, inflicting untold hardships, hunger, and starvation on Nigerians.
Lol....

You don't know anything about politics...

Northerners have a single agenda and Buhari refused to do most of those agenda but Tinubu will cut these things off so that the Northern agenda will only be achieved within themselves alone.

Funny people.

It is easy to claim success in reforms when you have insulated yourself from the negative consequences of those reforms.

Reforms are meant to first halt a bad condition and then gradually make it better. Not make a manageable situation worse and then make a worse situation worst.

Those defending the nonsense of bat also Defended the rubbish of buhari, so it is not surprising.

I told you to stay away from China for a reason. I know them better than you!

All you are writing here is trash. You know nothing about China. Do you know that the biggest banks in China are state owned? Do you know that the biggest telecommunications and entertainment outfits in China are either state owned or owned by state proxies? Do you know how deep the subsidies for agro related industries are in China? Do you know how subsidised the transport sector is in China, which makes it easy for new SMEs to run their stuffs effortlessly?

Even to make calls in the 90s and 2000s in China, do you know that the government created a special cheap phone system for the poor called the "shilinton"? Just so the poor can call without worrying about the costs. Do you know how cheap it is to feed in China and how cheap the housing prices were in China in the 90s and 2000s? Special Chinese students that are so good in the sciences qualify for automatic Chinese scholarships, in special science schools. Do have any similar stuffs here? Have you been to China to see the magnificent growths as a result.

How then can you use the extremely efficient Chinese set up to compare to this generational emberassment called tinubus presidency?? What are you smoking this early morning??

Like I said earlier; don't do that again!
Mr you know it all,did it take china barely a year to achieve all this you mentioned.....has tinubu or the APC been ruling Nigeria since independence like the Chinese cppc......how much sacrifice did the Chinese people have to make to achieve the feats you are attesting to today.

By the 60s and 70s when china was putting in the hard work,we were already driving benzs and RRs all over town importing rice, cement, tooth picks and toilet paper with our petrol dollars.....the rural china developed china this it was a bottom up approach, what did we do,we abandoned our farms and cottage industries and started living frivolous city lives .......tell us the percentage of Chinese who were living in luxury at the time and binging on imported goods.

You should also kindly expatiate on how tinubu is responsible for the decades of economic decadence which we are currently suffering the outcomes.

These things are normal and expected with the ground breaking reforms introduced by this govt such as removal of petrol subsidy and devaluation of the currency.....those in export business are smiling right now and also those at the bottom of the agric value chain has never had it this good,I can personally attest to this.

It's now cheaper for a Togolese or Cameroonian to come to ABA to buy textiles or shoes than to import directly from Asia.
Then why did BAT and the apc kick against these reforms in 2012?

Why did BAT say $ exchange rate at N217 was too high and a sign of an incompetent administration?

Why did BAT say fuel at N140 with subsidy removed was unreasonable?

If the agric value chain is increasing, why have agricultural produce remained astronomically high?

You keep mentioning Chinese reforms. The Chinese reforms were needed because the economy of China was for all intents and purposes, dead at the time. The reforms did not make a bad situation worse.

That is the bottom line that BAT and his supporters refuse to look at.

Any policy that does not have a significant positive influence on the purchasing power and cost of living on the masses is a useless policy.

You and your kind are obviously the short sighted hypocrites who are more interested in thier selfish agendas than true progress of the country.

Why should someone who condemned 'good' reforms for selfish reasons be trusted to carry out those same reforms?

That is how you people praised buhari blindly for 8 years claiming reforms. Today, we can all see the nonsense he did. Bat has started his own rubbish, but people like you continue to support nonsense policies simply because you benefit corruptly from such policies.

1st of all, nothing is normal about a reform carried out on a wrong methodology , a reform that only minimizes the people spending while the political class are living larger than life itself is not normal

Can you even listen to yourself, what export, whats the fraction of people into export, what you consider happiness is what is subject Nigeria to excruciating pain, you are happy that your country currency is valueless, when you export n make dollar you cash out big, how as it reflected growth on the economu

i hope you are not a literate cos how can you insinuate your currrency losing value is a boost for trade, you think cheaper by currency value is a good drive for any economy... just unbelievable

It's normal to have an economic downturn when radical reforms are being made....go read up on thatcher's policies in the 80s UK or Roosevelt's marshal plan during the recession years in America, better still China's backward reintegration policy of the 60s upto the 90s.....but look at those countries afterwards, there is no way we can move forward without these radical reforms.
Roosevelt's plan for the recession years is different from the marshal plan. The marshal plan was for Europe to recover after WW2. Take am easy to dey lie to people here. Roosevelt's recession plan worked because America was already in recession following the stock market crash, so you cannot compare America's situation with Nigeria. Nigeria's own is as a result of poorly thought out policies of this administration and mismanagement of the economy by the previous one.
