Good evening everyone I wish us all merry Christmas and a happy New year in advance, may we witness many of it in wealth and good health. My reason for creating this thread is to seek opinion for my cousin as regards an issue that have been bordering him for few weeks now, he's a graduate but without a permanent job but hustling. He's 31 years and not into any serious relationship for now. Now that u know a little the main thing is , lately he did a 50/50 deal which was very dangerous but God saw him through and he made 40 million at the beginning of November. He got better accommodation and sorted some things and he's now left with 38.6 million. He confided in me and we discussed with his father who happens to also be one of the community leaders but non educated, so my cousin had 2 options, to start livestock farming and logistics in Nigeria or travel out. Now we have 2 uncles, one is an established livestock farming in Nigeria and I can't call him a billionaire but he's far from broke cos his 3 kids attend private universities in Nigeria and he has some properties and nice cars and he's respected too The second uncle is abroad base with doings,we discussed with the two uncles on the best way to go The Nigerian farmer had a clear cut pattern of how things can be done and the guys father can use his influence to get a genuine land without conflict So the Nigerian farmer uncle wants him to get 2 acres, fence n protect it, drill borehole, get solar and get 3 rooms bq with toilet, after findings and feasibility studies we learnt 20 million will do that in a village not too far from town, he will stock the farm with( he also promised free mentorship and supervision till the guy can stand alone) Cows Sheep Goats Rabbit With 5 million making 25, and the remaining 13 million he will get a mini bus for commercial transport and keep the remaining change for backup till the farm start yielding with time. We also called the uncle abroad and all he kept saying was that he's still young and has the world on his palm so he can come and try his luck. We are all confused on what to do right now so the guy has fixed 38 million till march next year. Nairalanders please what do you think. Note the uncle who happens to be a farmer asked a question that how many of them "the abroad team" have 40 Million cash and the abroad uncle don't sound convincing We are all confused Cc RoyalRoy Mynd44 Nlfpmod Seun Dominique |

He can start with the livestock production, he has the accurate resources for that already. While he's at it, he can delve in to tech... There is no point travelling out yet with that sum and no particular vocation he's engaged in or academic pursuit |

Do not go into poultry farm as a novice o... do not try it. That uncle that drafted such a sufferhead plan for him is very wicked! Before that money decreases further, guy should use it to relocate to UK o. He should come and hustle with his mates... He will make it as long as He keeps his hands clean. Look, when we were young, we were taught that opportunity comes but once in a young man's life. Do not miss this one. You can always build farms and whatnot as investment in the future but if you spend that money chasing business success in Nigerias volatile economy of today, you may never make it back. P.S, Avoid poultry farm o... don't say later that someone didn't warn you. |

Mistake one is he's told too many people, and some will have plans for his money. I mean, see yourself too even asking the entire Nairaland for plans for his money, lol. When March comes, he must fix the money for a full further 12 months where he can not touch it, and he should hustle for the entire duration. After wards, he will know what's best to do with his money. Please know that if he does woman, I will personally come and kick your ass and his ass too. |

You already told too many people about your millions. You're a young successful guy, you shouldn't tell too many uncles about it. You can get close to them and learn about the livestock business without telling them about your millions making them believe you wish to go into it in future. Also, they're likely to have beyond just livestock business; that could just be what people know them for but they may be into many other things I'll advice you to be patient. Don't look for quick boom. Despite all that millions, you'll still need to patiently wait to be rich. It only means your future is bright, it doesn't mean you're rich yet. So I advice you invest about 5m into real estate which can yield about 60-100m in five years depending on location, 10-15m in a timed savings plan, something like fixed deposit but banks have different names for it. About 700k will be obtained yearly that's like 55k monthly which will sort food stuff every month without working and if you have a work, you can just add up the accrued 700k on the capital yearly since you won't be needing it. For the remaining millions, buy a plot or half of land where it is not expensive, build a commercial building for rent maybe 4 flat. The money may not be enough, which means you still need to be working like you don't have any millions untill you make a good achievement. You can deck 2 flats first, finish up the interior and get tenants to pay rents Abt 500k each, that's 1m. In two years, it's 2m then start building the top. When you finish the top and you paint the building and floor the ground with facilities, you can increase your rent to 700k each. 700kx4flats=2.8m yearly without working. That's just to start with. Later on from your real estate and fixed deposit profits, you can go into many more building investments such as event centers, shopping complexes, filling station etc and become a real multi millionaire. The best investment on earth is earth itself. If you go this way, there will be no landed property you own that won't worth about 150m minimum in future if you wish to sell it. Landed investment appreciates always. So my friend, you have not arrived yet, don't let 40m deceive you. It's not an end, it's just a means to an end, you still need to work. In fact be looking for work like you don't have any money yet. Don't resign from your work if you already have and don't think of buying a car yet. The time for that is still coming. For now it could be a liability except the nature of your work and how to convey your family necessarily requires it, then you can buy a small one, not a luxurious one yet. But most young nigerians don't understand how to invest. I'm sure in your mind now, you're thinking of buying a Lexus SUV worth 15m so all your guys and babes can know you have arrived. I pity the future of your unborn kids if you do that. |

Japa with the money, since the opportunity that made you that amount is once in a lifetime, make more than that amount in your new country since it won't be hard to raise that amount then you can decide if you still want to run a business |

OT: Tell us about the 50/50 deal be did that got him the 40M,if its a legal biz, why not continue with that hustle. Actually farming is lucrative tho, but who ever intends to go into it as a venture must be passionate about it and must be well grounded, but your cousin strike as a greenhorn with zero experience about it.. It has its risks and moreover livestock farming is quite more delicate than crop farming. I am actually not a pro-japa, so i will advise he go into farming but it will be a huge risk investing a large chunk of his funds into it for a start. To the learn the rope, its better to invest ¼ of the funds into it for a start and see how it goes from there. He can always pump in more capital later when the venture is moving like he is projecting. |

Advise him to buy crypto with 20M out of the money and store them. He can reinvest the rest in any business or travel out. If I were in his shoes that’s what I’ll do. He shouldn’t do shitty coins o. BTC, ETH, XRP and DOGe. Should he do this, I can guarantee you that in 3 - 4 years that money would have quadrupled. |

You've already shared your financial success with too many people. As a young and successful individual, it's wise to keep some details private. You can build relationships and learn about the livestock business without revealing your wealth, which might lead them to think you want to pursue it. They may have interests beyond livestock, so take your time to explore those opportunities.. Even with your millions, patience is key to true wealth. Consider investing around 5 million in real estate, which could grow to 60-100 million in ten years, depending on the location. Additionally, putting 10-15 million into a savings plan can yield about 700,000 yearly, providing a monthly income for essentials without needing to work.. For the remaining funds, consider purchasing a plot of land in an affordable area and building a commercial property, like four flats for rent. Start with two flats, finish the interiors, and rent them out for around 500,000 each. In two years, you could see significant returns, allowing you to continue building and increasing rental income.. As your real estate and savings grow, you can explore further investments, such as event centers or shopping complexes, to build substantial wealth. Remember, land investments typically appreciate over time.. Stay grounded; having 40 million is just a step, not the finish line. Keep seeking work and avoid unnecessary expenses, like a luxury car, until the time is right. Many young Nigerians struggle with investment decisions, so focus on building a secure future for yourself and your family. |

| Re: Confused On What To Do.....please Help by Nobody: 5:39pm On Dec 25, 2024 |
Factcheck0001:Dont listen to that clown. Him and his kind constantly engage in the battle of narratives on nairaland. They constantly try to justify their choice of traveling abroad even if it does not make sense. If he had 30M before he travelled, he wouldn’t have migrated. Most of those migrating is solely for economic reasons aka sapa was their last name in naija. You almost got that money on a platter, ask him how many hours he had to work abroad to earn that much, that’s if he is not lying. No one would hand you that money without putting in your blood, sweat and tears abroad. If that money is invested correctly, you are on your way to becoming wealthy. If you dont find an investment, lock it in fixed deposit or convert it to usd and hold it. Then keep working for more or hustling like you have nothing. You have home court advantage. You’re in your fatherland surrounded with loved ones. No racisim etc here |
