Grizzlies 144 - Warriors 93. Your so-called shooter of all time scored 2 points in 24 minutes of play. Is anyone still betting on these warriors? My bet, they still wouldn't make the playoffs. They are that inconsistent. Curry too.
Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 7:10am On Dec 20, 2024
What really happened to the Warriors though? grin 51 point loss??!! Steph 2 points in 24 mins? Come on bro cheesy

But they got Schroder now so I think they'll be better.

Its a good opportunity for someone else to start a different league. We used to watch all these games on over the air TV as well. Now you need like 3 subscriptions if you want to catch all games. Hence the low ratings. Adding color to the floor and graphics for kids does not fix the underlying issue that is is a subpar product.

Football/soccer ends goalless at times. But they have generational fans. American football has low scoring games as well, and they also have generational fans. NBA is approaching this wrong.
This is the NBA you want us to go back to? Nah, I'll pass grin

Re: The NBA Begins by larride(m): 5:39am On Dec 24, 2024
What's happening to Curry? 22mins on the court against the Pacers so far and Zero FG.

One good note here, previously in this type of high profile Laker games, at the end, its all on Lebron. Much props to a semi-rookie taking the opportunity this time around. These are the type of teams Lebron excels on. He is not a Jordan or Kobe type player. and will never be. His greatness comes through making others step up.

For example you cant forget that Chris Bosh rebound, that Ray Allen 3 in the finals. That moment is immortal in this game. Yet Lebron was on the court, and that is the reason that team was even in this position.

Long story short, Lakers are a sleeper team to surprise folks this year, if yall can keep the circus under control. Just avoid OKC. Otherwise grin

Lol. I know what this team is. 2nd round at best, especially with the injuries to our frontcourt and lineup inconsistency.

I would take OKC over Denver. There's too much trauma in Colorado. I think OKC though they're young and good, they still lack some experience. And this Lakers team, if they get some frontcourt legs back, we have some size and young legs that can match the youth of OKC. Obviously Shai would eat, but apart from that, Chet ain't outplaying AD, Dort ain't stopping Bron.

DLo to the Nets. Dorian Finney-Smith and Shake Milton to the Lakers. Don't know what to even feel about this trade. Who is now our playmaker off the bench, Shake? Gabe? I like DFS though.

You mean Hartenstein on AD. Go through that OKC squad again. These boys are younger. LA is old & banged up. No way Lebron & AD winning OKC even with the younger role players.

We have young role players too bro. Max, Reaves, Dalton, Rui, Hayes, Vando, Reddish. All these guys are 26 or younger. Gabe is 28 which is youngish.

I didn't say Chet would guard AD, I meant he won't out-produce AD on the offensive end.

None of those guys you mentioned can get past Lu Dort.

Is he going to play 48 minutes? I doubt it. Lakers have the young legs to compete, if they will just let them, like I said. those guys steady986 mentioned is a legit nba team, minus AD and Lebron

Will they let them? No. Lebron & AD will get their minutes and dictate play as long as they are on the team.

That was my point. Things have shifted somewhat. The hero of the Lakers/Warriors game was Reaves

Nice! Now that DLo is away from Lebron's shadow, he can cook once again.

Same thing was said about Kuzma. If you are too weak to thrive in a Lebron system, you will eventually fail anywhere else you go to. Once you get used to being second fiddle, it is difficult to change elsewhere. I wish him the best sha. He does have the 'it' factor, and there are a bunch of dawgs on that Nets team. Lets hope you are right!

True! It all depends on the team you are traded to. Kuzma went to Washington! Wetin dey happen for Washington? DLo is going to join Nic Claxton and Cam Thomas who have grown some maturity. I wish to see the three of them cook. I wish to see a new breed join the current dawgs; Celts, Cavs, OKC, Knicks, Grizzlies. To be honest, I have already zeroed out these old guys. Time for the new.

No doubt, but its just that come playoffs, they are no longer the only dangerous team with young legs, great coach, excellent defense and a superstar. We got several of those in the west now.

They were never going to get past GSW in 2022 anyway. That was a learning curve for them. Houston is the new Grizzlies, Cocky, Self confident and naive. They will crash & burn. Grizzlies on the other hand still have their core; J.Jackson, Bane & Morant. And they have a 7footer, Edey to protect the rim. They are cooking these playoffs. Watch out for OKC, Grizzlies, Mavs & Denver. Every other team in the West is running on old legs and vibes.

We are the new grizzlies, I like that grin. But we wont crash and burn, because we got rid of our only knucklehead KPJ. We look forward to upsetting one of these old teams come playoffs!
