Depends on what the phone does for her. My partner fixed his own Samsung screen for 450k. I'll never buy a phone that expensive talk more of fixing only screen with that amount.

Based on software quality and many phone hardwares, Samsung is a better android phone than a new Tecno that costs the same price.

Guessing a high end store and where given an original/follow come screen.

I'm using Samsung S10 plus too, but I'd have suggested she buys another one. I bought mine 280k in April 2024, that's difference of just 30k.
The problem is, the screen she bought can't be as good as the follow-come.
But if she has many important files in the phone that she can't let go, it's still a good a decision.

I have used the same S10 plus and it developed screen flickering issues all of a sudden without even falling to the ground

I went to Samsungs website and identified their service centers. Then I made enquiries before I bit the bullet and went to their Saka Tinubu office.

And even then I almost got gbaed by a fake Samsung repair center right opposite the actual repair center.

Her decision to repair the phone with 250k is far better than your decision to give her 100k when you cannot give your blood brother 20k or even spend 20k at once to feed yourself.

It depends on the kind of phone. I had changed my VIVO screen for like 5th time now and it has no issue at all.

Once you change the screen of a phone, it never remains the same.

From flickering issues, to battery overheating amongst other issues.

She should have gone for a Xiaomi note 13 pro.

I'd rather go for a neatly used iPhone XR or A series Samsung with good spec. The replaced screen may not last a year or two.
I replaced my S9plus screen, used it for 4months before the screen starting flickering. Now, the screen is completely blank.

Funny but yes. The phone screen is too fragile. One big drop everything will shatter, and i do fix it by myself. I would just buy the screen, get the glue and it's all set.
