I’ve not tried it but it doesn’t sound appealing at all. I’ll rather eat some yoghurt, sauerkraut, get my alcohol from sweet wine if I feel like it and call it a day.😃

Oh I see. I’ve sometimes used rice wine vinegar or mirin for cooking. Not drinking. Mirin’s actually a tad bit sweet. I don’t think it’ll taste the same as makgoeli.

Unless you’re referring to saké? Which I’ve had probably not more than 2-3x. It’s okay. Not terrible.

the only reasonable food in Korea is ttebonki and jjangmycheon
Koreans eat way too many fermented foods , one of the reasons why most Koreans are not too fat
