Jolene474:Good morning. I'm so sorry for the refusal. Personally, I cannot see any reason why you were refused. The said deposits are so minimal and should be considered inconsequential - in my humble opinion. I think the visa officer just wanted to refuse you for reasons best known to him/her. Of cos, a reason has to be given - hence the reason of the deposits that are not even up to N20,000! I don't see why living with your parents and siblings is a problem. That is your reality - unless you were expected to lie (which I would not support). You don't really need hotel booking for UK visa. It appears there was an issue with the hotel booking you presented. The first visa is usually the most diffucult to get. I know that I have renewed my visa a couple of times with many unexplained deposits - without any issue. May I suggest you give UK a break for now. Try any of the other European Countries - France, Italy or Spain. Your two refusals will haunt you for a while. However, once you have travelled to another Country in Europe, your chances of getting the visa increases. Good luck! |

I’d rather not, so it doesn’t seem like an ad. There’s a directory of solicitors in the UK online and I’m sure you’d easily find one. I hope you understand. since13o: |

Thank you Madam, I was surprised myself. How N2,000 becomes an unexplainable deposit, an amount not up to 2 pounds, and I even documented in my supporting documents that it was a failed transfer that was reversed, it was airtime purchase that was reversed. How it’s an unknown deposits just begs the question? Did they look at the explanation I gave? But thank you for your input, I guess I’ll revisit South Africa or Doha or I’ll try Italy. |

Hello all my first time here. My husband and I want to travel to UK to attend a church conference for 1 week. We won’t be going with our child. Can we use a mutual funds account in my name as POF? It has enough money for the trip and more. Inflow goes in there every month as savings from us. I have many transactions I can’t explain easily in my 6 months statement from my salary acct |

You guys are live savers. Keep it up. A family friend needs guidance with a long-stay visa application. She must pay the health surcharge and complete a tuberculosis (TB) test. What are the correct steps to follow for the visa application? Should she pay the health surcharge first, then complete the TB test, followed by the visa fee, and finally book an appointment with VFS? Additionally, she is applying with her daughter. How can she schedule appointments for both herself and her daughter on the same day? Please provide a detailed breakdown of the process. PLEASE break down the steps. thank you in advance |

Hi, I wouldn't advise using a mutual funds account just because the funds available for your proposed trip need to be liquid, i.e. the funds must be immediately available for you to utilize. However, in the case of mutual fund investments, these usually need to be liquidated, which can take a day or a few days. Since you have transactions that you can't easily explain in your 6 months statement, can you possibly provide account statements for the past three months, four months or five months then? In your case, it's obviously better to provide bank account statements showing liquid funds over a three-month period, four-month period or five-month period than providing a mutual funds account as POF. For instance, if you have a USD domiciliary account with at least $5,000, that will be good to show for a 1-week trip to the UK. MsAnonymous: |

MzGiwa:It is now GIG these folks are using.. no DHL. + no tracking details… Just pray there is a GIG branch close to you and for the next few days pick up unknown numbers calling you as they maybe calling to get delivery information. |

MsAnonymous:Have you attended any church conferences outside Nigeria in the past? Is there a possibility of streaming this conference online? These are important considerations. It's essential to clarify the purpose of this conference and justify the thousands of pounds you both plan to spend. Additionally, I would be cautious about presenting mutual funds without savings account… it's important to be mindful of such decisions. |

Nawao! This is really a downgrade even with the huge courier service fee paid. From DHL to GIG. In my next application, I would consider pickup from VAC directly. giselle237: |

Happy new year to you all Just returned from UK today. Super tired. Was a mixed holiday, as I lost an uncle on Christmas Day. First time experiencing how people pass away in the UK, going to Kings College Hospital to see the body moved to the Morgue. 😢 😭 |
