As we do know from UK pattern, if you're told to come for Collection, most times Visa is granted
Thanks for your kind response.
I understand that. But I'm confused about the notification of decision... you have an idea what it means?

Happy new year to you all

Just returned from UK today.

Super tired.

Was a mixed holiday, as I lost an uncle on Christmas Day. First time experiencing how people pass away in the UK, going to Kings College Hospital to see the body moved to the Morgue. 😢 😭
So sorry about this...
Accept my condolence.

I've answered this already. The only organisation that can send you refusal mail is UKVI and if they didn't send you a refusal mail, it means (99% of the time, except for 1%) you've been granted

Hello everyone, please I need your help. My mums visa was denied because we didn’t submit her statement even though we didn’t because we were sponsoring her visit.
Now the problem is that they want her to show how she earns in Nigeria. I said she is a saleswoman in a rural village but I don’t know if she should submit her personal savings and her pos account cos she does POs business on the side too. Should I use both statement and explain what she does. Since she doesn’t keep conventional savings account due ti the nature of her business cos it’s cash incentive. I don’t know what to do … please help

Happy Sunday everyone, I’ll be applying to visit the Uk for a conference in March and also for sightseeing. I will be applying from Italy because I’m currently a student here. I also own a study abroad consultancy in Nigeria. What documents do you think I can use to support my claims. I’d really appreciate any advice.

How are you supporting yourself in Italy as a noncitizen?

How's your business also doing financially?

UKVI are interested in how you feed January to December, so you'll not japa and become liability.

A clean account that shows self sustainability or external support is what's required in your case, as one aspect is settled (previous travel to European Economic Area)

These explanations you stated here with the attachment of the bank statements would have ensured the visa is granted

Thank you for this
1. I’ve a full school scholarship sustaining me
2. Business is thriving, I’m able to support myself further with it. Can I attach my Nigerian account statement and my savings statement to support?
3. I’ll be visiting for two days, do I need to get an insurance?

Provide evidence of scholarship

In your personal statement of account, there must be evidence that your business is actually paying you salary or allowance monthly and at least 3 months bank statement to show how you transferred from business, account to personal account, cos you'll be asked to provide explanation or origin

You need

1. Cover letter
2. Personal account statement
3. Savings account statement
4. Company account statement
5. Evidence of your strong ties with Nigeria or Italy
6. Insurance not needed in UKVI application

Good morning everyone, I have questions please...
Hi. Excuse my ignorance in case I'm wrong but, isn't a student only to worry about proof of funding when CAS has been issued/given?

Thanks.

Hey guys,
Kudos to all those that contribute and help people here.

My own little contribution here is that when you go for your visa appointment, you should only print the appointment letter, DO NOT PRINT THE CHECKLIST. Back then with TLS, they used to collect checklist, but with this VFS guys, checklist is not required. That was my experience in December. So, don't waste 7K/8K with those guys in Ikeja that collects 1K per page.

Goodluck.

God Bless you too..

1. That's fine. Explain

2. Your parents are not expected to live forever so that is fine

3. You can buy or sell land at anytime so that's fine

4. Your N500,000 salary might be an issue... You are married with children. How do you cope with N500,000 and still have enough to plan a foreign trip? The visa officer would think like that so have a good answer to that question.

Good luck!

Congratulations.

I got the same email this afternoon for my mother in law's 2 year visit visa. It means the visa was approved since there was no accompanying refusal letter.
She did her biometrics on 20th Dec.
Pls were you given a tracking Id whatsoever.
Cos I didn't get any mail from the courier, I don't know what else to do.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by frontside007: 3:24pm On Jan 06, 2025
Hi Demmybim, have you picked up your passport and was it approved? My sis had their biometrics on the 11 Dec, got the same email as below on Friday last week, she just picked up their passports now but there's nothing in it and we did not receive any refusal email.

Demmybim:
A decision for GWF reference number was received at the UK Visa Application Centre on 03-01-2025. If a courier return service was purchased from VFS, your passport and notification of the decision will be delivered to the chosen address. If not, your passport can be collected from the UK Visa Application Centre during the designated passport collection times (Please check our website for details). - VFS Global

Traveling now, especially to UK due to exchange rate that has reduced the value of Naira to something else has to be really needful before embarking on it.

If you own a N500million house in Lekki and you sell it, the amount cant buy you a beautiful 3 bedroom flat in Hither Green where a flat is sold for £350,000

There is no more courier tracking. They are now doing business with GIG.
Be with your phone on alert. A number must have called you from GIG to say your document is with them and provide extra information of the delivery driver.
If you do not stay in a state with GIG, then I guess that is the reason for the delay.
I know someone in Benin contacted on January 4th, gig delivered Jan 6th.
