Congratulations.

I got the same email this afternoon for my mother in law's 2 year visit visa. It means the visa was approved since there was no accompanying refusal letter.
She did her biometrics on 20th Dec.

Hello... pls has your MIL got her passport? And was it approved?

Save enough money that can be fixed and then apply when the money is like ₦10m. It must have been fixed for 3 months or 6months ahead of application, showing it's not just fresh.

With this you can still be paying yourself the ₦500,000 monthly

There are certain courtesy people should learn.

I didn't say I lost a chicken, or money that can be replaced, but a whole life that can't be replaced till eternity.

Traveling from Nigeria, only to end up visiting Hospital/morgue in London to see a dead relative that died on Christmas Day

Greetings everyone, I have a serious question that need attention please I just got visit visa denial, some days ago on the basis that unexplained money that came into my accounts, now want to try reapply and explain in details the 15,000 credit reflected. What’s my chance? And on the basis of home tie I am married with kid of which I attached my wedding certificate and family photos. Is that not enough…
It's not just the funds, you needed to provide other strong ties to Nigeria.

These days, families japa separately, with either the mother going first and the father joining later or vice versa. Hence, family is no longer a strong tie.

Your job could have been used with a senior member writing to state how important you are to the organisation and why you must return.
Solution
1. Need to explain all deposits into the account aside salaries.
2. Need strong ties to Nigeria, like your organisation writing them
3. Also use your family in your letter as to why you must return back to them and they are well placed in Nigeria etc

Cashmadam:
Sorry about the refusal.

Mistake on your part. Next time, add your Mum's statement of account. She claimed she has savings and will contribute to the cost of the trip. How will the visa officer know she has the money when you did not attach her statement of account? This issue has been discussed extensively...
Thank you Cash madam I pray God blesses you abundantly…. My mum reapplied in December, and she just picked up her passport and her visa have been approved, this time around I included her bank statement . To everyone on this platform contributing positively God bless you all.

you are not alone. My Biometric was done on the 10th of December and up till this moment I haven't received any email and I am a bit worried.

I have decided to wait till Friday to make it exactly one month and I hope they will get back to me.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Oghosagracely: 7:55pm On Jan 07, 2025
Its a 2yrs visa but would stay only for 5months. Statement and declared budget was 2500 pounds but most likelywon'tuse evenupto half cos there's accommodation and food already available.

b31164707:
Congratulations on your visa approval! Have you tried Turkish Airlines, Kenya Airways or RwandAir? Turkish Airlines was about 1.7m the last time I checked and Kenya Airways and RwandAir aren't more than 1.5m for a round-trip flight.

Would you mind if I ask how long you are planning to visit London, how much you budgeted on your application and your monthly income/disposable income, which led to a visa approval? I intend to submit my application next month, so this will guide me on an appropriate budget to use for my application. Thanks.

To people who are yet to apply for their visa, my advise is DO NOT PAY FOR PASSPORT DELIVERY.

During the time of TLS when DHS was the courier service company, within 2 days after receiving collection mail, your passport is in palms. This time around, I'm entering my 5th day, still no phone call from GIG. This is too bad.

If someone had picked the passport from VAC and weighbilled it, I would have gotten it since 2 days ago.

1. The complaints one
2. The public enquiries one
3. Then a paid mail

One of them would email back.

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by b31164707:
Good evening everyone, I’m a bit concerned. There is a 55,000 Naira transaction reversal showing up in my salary account due to a failed transaction I was initially charged for in December, then refunded. Additionally, another 8,000 Naira transaction reversal is appearing as a credit, which occurred after I was first charged for a failed transaction when I used a POS machine to pay for fuel at a petrol station this evening. I honestly don’t understand why banks are still debiting customers for failed transactions in 2025! It makes applicants like us seem suspicious to visa officers. Given this, how would you suggest I explain these transaction reversals in my application? Is the explanation below in my cover letter satisfactory?

"On December 9th, 2024, I was erroneously charged 55,000 Naira following a failed transaction, and on January 7th, 2025, I was similarly debited 8,000 Naira due to another failed transaction. Both amounts were promptly reversed and credited to my account on December 10th, 2024, and January 7th, 2025, respectively. Please note that these reversals were simply corrections of the initial mistaken debits and do not represent any actual income or external funds. The amounts reflect error adjustments rather than additional income."

Has anyone been in a similar situation and still successfully obtained a UK visitor visa? Some of these UK visa officers can be wahala people and I honestly don't want to enter their wahala, so please advise. Hope to hear from some of you all soon.

Only 2,500 pounds for a whole 5 months in London? Or are you planning to stay outside London in the UK? Cause I'm still struggling to understand how 2,500 GBP will be sufficient for 5 months in London, even excluding accommodation.

I had same issue in my application, I had two reversal of N2,000 and N12,000. This visa officer said I had unexplained deposit and that I had no other job on file and so they can’t ascertain the credit, but I explained severally in my application, do they want someone to lie in an application? How has bank refunds become an issue.
You need to explain clearly, if it’s possible write an email to your bank and ask them about the credit to your account and your bank will likely say it’s as a result of a reversal due to bank outage and also attach it.
That’s why I was refused, but adding this email might help, the reason I’m saying this is because my cousin who will work together is about 39 years old, he got no wife or kids, he haven’t traveled before, he gets paid about N490k monthly and he got no landed documents, he lost both his parents at young age, no ties from no where, except his job, we applied together in Lagos and guess what folks, they gave him the visa, do you know how much was in his bank statement balance, N4M. He had so many unexplained deposits, infact he didn’t even care, he uses the account for everything, but they gave him, me that had just minimal credits into my account, visa officer said No lol.
I had about 5 visited countries, almost a Million Naira salary, landed properties and more.
So I think everybody has a scale at wish they are judge.
But for a fact, everybody’s application is never same.

Just incase you think it’s weird, I’ve his bank statement and his UK visa on my WhatsApp, he asked me to book a flight for him, so everything is possible, yours may work or the visa officer might over a lot just as he did for his.

Don’t UK banks reverse transactions if unsuccessful? Why reversal is a big issue for them I don’t know, they just want a clean slate, they are the ones that promote people having artificial bank statement because you don’t want to see errors… so just explain, add the bank reply email.

Good morning all,
I’d appreciate your input on this matter. My wife applied for an MRes program in the UK, and we’ve been contacted by one of the schools we applied to. We’ve already started preparing funds for tuition and other related expenses. However, last night, we discovered that my wife is pregnant.
We are now considering the implications of her pregnancy on her ability to travel, settle, and study in the UK. Specifically, we’d like insights on the following:
1. Health and travel: Are there any medical considerations or restrictions for her to travel, given her pregnancy?
2. Healthcare in the UK: What are the healthcare options available for pregnant international students in the UK? Would the NHS cover her antenatal care, or do we need separate health insurance?
3. Academic challenges: How might the pregnancy and childbirth affect her studies, particularly if the program is intensive? Are there support systems or deferment options
4. Will immigration allow her into the uk seeing that she is pregnant

You can watch this video on YouTube. The person was 8 months pregnant when she travelled to the UK for her masters.

All the best

Good morning, chief. I'd like to inquire the Mres degree. Did you apply through the UCAS website or directly to the school's faculty/supervisor? Secondly, does one contact the school whenever one is ready or advisable to wait until schools announce application openings?

I'll really appreciate your opinion, thanks.

That was swift! Thank you, chief.

Medical considerations or travel -
Since you only recently discovered she's pregnant, I'm guessing it's still in its early stages so that should pose no issues if you will be traveling in the next 2-4 months. Anything further than that, I'd advise you make more inquiries about travel specifics/rules.

Pregnancy/childbirth affecting studies. Support systems / deferment options -
I'm anti-deferment so it wouldn't be an option for me but I understand your view. I'm against it because new developments can be announced within/before the end of the year and as you may agree, most are against prospective international students. The program should be more intensive than the ordinary masters degree so understanding her strengths and limit will be of significant importance. But then again, the end goal should be a huge encouragement to propel her towards getting it done eventually. She'll need your 100% support. Also, it will help if you already have friends, relatives and acquaintances inside of the UK willing to help as that would give a sense of community too.

Cheers.
