We4all:. Whatever! Na something God go use uplift person. I just pity that teacher. Make dem have mercy on her biko. Make dem settle the matter amicably. It's well with you, boy. Your mama should have saved the you early enough. Early approach would have saved the culprit from this public ridicule and unnecessary litigation. Your don kept complaining, but you probably felt you should keep quiet about it until someone gave you an evidence. That wasn't quite good a decision, ma. See wetin you cause for both the victim and the accused now ![]() |

MadamExcellency:Did u watch the video? Did u see how the little boy was moved by the slap? The slap was too hard for such a child & if it is something that is consistent, it can affect the child's ear. This one doesn't seem to be the first, for someone to have recorded that video means the woman has been doing this, so they needed evidence. |

Kobojunkie:So, if you work in a bank and one of your colleagues is into fraud. You will record him and pass the information around outside the bank? I am not sure you have a corporate life. Maybe you are a student or one of those "self-employed" people. Wait until you employ one person, then you will understand why organizations have disciplinary committees and HR teams. |

aremubabs:You don't know that when a crime is committed, the right people to contact are the police? Are you people OK at all? Now I am concerned... how can a grown individual not be aware of this simple fact abeg? ![]() |

Kobojunkie:It's only fair and just that we punished everyone slapping people in Nigeria, not some poor teacher woman alone. Only an ostrich does not know this isn't an isolated case. |

ibtommy:The victim here is the 3-year-old child who has to deal with this traumatic experience and possibly a problem with his hearing as a result. But your concern is instead the welfare of the bully who attacked him and caused him harm? WOW! ![]() |

Kobojunkie:Stop shifting the goalpost. The woman ran to her pastor, not the police. And the argument was never about the police. It was about taking a matter straight to the public. |

I watched the video. The abusive teacher didn't "slap", slap is often on the cheek. She repeatedly hit the boy's head from the side, and with her adult hands. That's extremely abnormal. And as for the mother being gentle and been taking things easy, life had happened to her to the extent that than reporting herself, she had to go through her pastor. Justice for the assaulted boy indeed, and may they get the helps they need. |

BoldBrainz:So, if you or your mother are slapped by a person out there on the street, you will choose to brush it off each time even though the law which guides interaction between citizens clearly states that assault of any kind is a crime? 😩😩😩 I am really trying my best here to understand how folks like you reason these things. ![]()

ElSudani:Mr sociopath, so you haven’t seen a mother slap her own child before. Even though it is wrong, does it mean she’s trying to kill her child too. |

Kobojunkie:No,bro. My concern us fir all of them. Don't see it that way. If my child complains about something going wrong in the school, I swing into action immediately. That's what she should have done to forestall stories like this. |

MadamExcellency:That wasn't a slap. The boy was hit on the head by her hands. Guess headlines are just using the term slap for euphemism. The boy whose head is still fragile was hit repeatedly by an adult woman's hands. |

Kobojunkie:You are not getting it, are you? The public space, in my argument, is not you and I, but the people she reported internal matters to, instead of reporting to the school management. A crime might, of course, become a public affair, except in very rare cases. But that is not my argument. My argument is that the headmistress heard about an incident in her school through an outsider whom the complainant (a staff of the school) told. You don't know how disrespectful that is. Let me give you an instance. You are at work, and someone calls you that your husband told him that you didn't leave money for breakfast. Would it not sound disrespectful to you that an internal issue had to be communicated to you, not by a member of your household, but by an outsider? You don't take internal matters straight to the public, that is my argument. And when I say public, I meant the people she took the matter to. |

ibtommy:The abuser had been doing that for ages, beating little children in terrible ways. The abuser as well as all teachers had been warned against it, but she still continued. One could argue that she may be a manipulative/aggressive person that may 'destroy' her colleague's (the assaulted boy's mother) source of living if challenged about it. The assaulted boy's mother is poor, and potentially weakened and fearful, hence, she even reported to her pastor and not even directly to her co-employer with the abuser. Try to be realistic a little... |

mozona:So what? What's your own headache about that? She is a widow, and she is poor, and in a civilised society this immediately entitle her to government assistance. If anybody therefore is willing to help her poor situation, why are you beefing about it, or envious of her? |

Ishilove: Sulele04: Ishilove:You are confused. Only you are having conflicting opinions on a single subject. That's a struggling powerless widow. You saw the part where it was mentioned that her phone seized by the school on Tuesday and released on Thursday and the woman still tried not to implicate the management. That's what happens when someone is in vulnerable position. You can't understand |

Zackattack:A mother slapping her child is said to have assaulted her child. All those ADs against violence in the homes are there to help make people like you sensitive about such things and quickly run to report it when you see it because such things are not normal or should no longer be seen as normal. ![]() So, it is only when someone is being killed that you would consider it a crime. 😩😩😩😩😩 |

aremubabs:😩😩😩😩😩 Is the victim in question a property of the school business such that any crimes or violations of his basic human right should be handled not by the police who are in charge of enforcing rights and law in the country but by the school/headmistress? ![]() 2. Is the complainant a property of the school rather than a citizen of the country— Nigeria — whose law clearly states that assault is against the Law and should be reported? What in the world is up with you people? The crime may have been committed in the school but last I checked the school is not a sovereign entity that you should think to assert its jurisdiction over what should be common sense in the country itself. ![]() |
