buy five litres at most in your car and the remaining in the big keg simple .

It is absolutetly apalling, the sad thing is, they never get rich even though they do these things. They would be doing the same petty scams till they grow old with nothing to show for it. They never aim higher than the petty scams they do.

My experience similar to that was funny because I was standing in front of the lady who gave #1,500 less. On first count I asked for the balance #500 which she obliged to swiftly, after counting the money the second time & finding out it was still 1k short. The lady was now forming serious, unfortunately for her I only had fifty naira in my pocket & I emptied my pocket just to proof to the seemingly dubious trader who I believed wanted to take advantage of the fact that I had a bike waiting for me while I did the transaction. for her eyes maybe I be yahoo boy wey no dey count him money.

Sometimes it takes a car up to 5 minutes of driving before it reflects

Up to 5 minutes is not normal. It could be a sign that your fuel gauge is faulty or even a faulty fuel pump

Some filling station owners might be culpable for adjusted meters to increase profits, but to sell air into people's tanks like this one, I think that's the fuel attendants' handiwork...

Someone who spent hundreds of millions to build a filling station would show some concern about the reputation of his business, but a bad staff that has no stake in the company can do the unthinkable.

Ogar even inside bank, na your right to confirm the money right in front of the teller wey attend to you, anything wey make you leave there come back, you are on your own.

No attendant does that without the knowledge of the owner or supervisor in charge of that filling station. Attendant can only sell Petro of ₦3000 for ₦5000 if you are negligence by not focusing on metter reading, he can't adjust the fuel pump unilaterally.

There's a way they pull on the lever..
Slightly half way, it opens the valve small to allow fuel pass thru..
The meter keeps ticking on.
The pump is dispensing but much of the fuel is trapped inside the long roll of pipe hose.
What you get is 70% of your fuel..
It's an artwork many fuel attendants learn on the job.

Mine was not even pumping of air but the attendant sold to one man with small keg and she didn't close the nozzle before started selling to me. I look at the meter and I saw the reading at 6ltr withing a twinkling of an eye.
The only way you outsmart these thieves is to be very watchful or buy inside a keg.

Nigeria is like a den of thieves hardly you see a trustworthy person even in a sacred gathering
