Because I didn't expect she will come back with so much justification explanation that will make me understand why she took the option of continuing with her boyfriend. While I have told her I'd be fine with whatever she come up with. Why is she guilt tripping me

I met this girl 6 months ago and we have rolled together until this January.

After the 1st month of knowing her, I asked her about her relationship status, she said complicated, that she has a boyfriend that now seldomly talks to her for close to 10 months before I met her. I just told her to be sure of her relationship with the said boyfriend and address it if we are ever going to have any serious thing going forward.

She showed me the chats with the said boyfriend and all, that he just doesn't seem into her anymore, that this guy was the guy that deflowered her like 4 years ago when they started it all, that how he all of a sudden decided to be cold towards her is something she can't explain.

After few weeks, she came back to me and told me if I am serious about her that we can start a relationship, that as for her she doesn't think anything serious exists anymore with her boyfriend.

I told her I give her till this January to know the way forward with her. Omo we got to this January, this girl got a news that the guy lost one of his parents, that he's been battling with the treatment of the parent that's why he's really not given her attention for (now upto a year). The girl said she felt so much guilt for thinking the guy was just ghosting her and now she is back telling me she's going back with this her guy lol.

She started telling me that, even if her relationship didn't work out with the guy, that it was already clear to her she cannot be with a man like me for a husband. That she noticed that my anger gets the better of me that even if she was to marry me, I would be far from understanding her due to my anger or strictness.

I was just amazed as how all these suddenly became an excuse, just because she was trying to justify how we are ending our friendship or pre relationship, just because she connected back to her boyfriend.

Omo, imagine I had fallen so in love with this girl naso I for dey hurt now lol
