IGIG:Please try to contact the person who filled out your form previously, as you can’t access the information they provided. If all efforts fail, I suggest noting this in the additional information section of your work visa application to address any potential conflicting information. This will help prevent the ECO from imposing a 10 year ban, which is typically the worst-case scenario. Also, keep in mind that a standard visitor visa application will not impact your work visa application, as the work visa is points-based. If you meet all the points criteria, you’ll secure the visa. Goodluck |

Hello House, with the new ETA regime for travelling into UK, does one need to apply for ETA after getting UK visa from Nigeria? Before coming to UK? |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 10:39pm On Jan 18, 2025 |
MadeMan01:Half baked information. Why not do a simple google search? You do not fall into the category of those asked for ETA if you are a Nigerian coming with a UK visit visa. Simple google search sir |

Did you initially clearly explain these N12,000 and N2,000 inflows in your salary account though? Because if you didn't provide a detailed explanation in a cover letter, then I can understand why they previously denied your visa. It also helps to provide supporting documentation like email evidence from someone else who can verify the authenticity of your explanation. For instance, if these inflows were due to transaction reversals (which are very common now), an email from someone in your bank who can confirm these credits were due to transaction reversals will usually suffice as supporting evidence, in addition to an explanation in a cover letter. Also, I'd guess your budget for the recent application you used to be granted a visa was between 1,100 and 1,250 GBP for 7 days (including flights, living expenses but excluding hotel accommodation)? Good evening everyone, In addition to the extra inflows from bonuses and allowances, I have received additional inflows in my salary account, due to transaction reversals for failed transactions and a recent commission payment from my employer. I’m concerned that a visa officer may view these inflows negatively, despite my travel history, which includes two trips to the UK in the last 10 years for academic purposes, as well as travels to Qatar, the US, Ghana, and Togo. Although I have provided email receipts from my bank to confirm that these credits are due to transaction reversals, I’m hoping that these reversals will not be a reason for a visa denial. Additionally, I recently received a commission from my employer for assisting the institution in raising capital from investors. However, apart from a line item on my bank statement showing the commission received, there is no other formal evidence available, as my employer is unable to provide a letter or formal documentation due to the sensitive nature of the transaction. Given this situation, what would you advise I do? I am hopeful that the explanations provided in my cover letter will suffice, even though I am unable to provide full supporting documentation for this commission. Has anyone been in a similar situation, and what would you recommend I do? Thank you for your assistance. |

whummy4:Your visa if granted has a duration and number of times you are to enter. If you're still within time frame, you're allowed to use it. I got my visa in November, to go celebrate my wife's birthday. We travelled and returned January, 2025. After all the main reason of travel has passed right? I just bought another ticket and would be traveling again this Easter, cos of my valid visa yet to expire. I hope this clears your mind. Emphasis on number of entries and duration |

Lheman:This is for next time. When traveling, aside from looking at cost and airline's comfortability (food, entertainment and travel hours) look at restrictions etc. I booked ticket on Friday and while booking, Lufthansa was the cheaper to London, but I need transit. Checked KLM and Air France, they're also cheaper than BA, VA and Air Peace, but both requires transit and most importantly you'll only be allowed Just a single 23Kg bag and hand luggage 🧳 for free I looked at all these and my sincere travel agents laid all options to me, before we chose one of the three that takes us from Lagos to London direct with 23kg*2 So when next you're traveling, consider Total travel time Need for ATV How comfortable airline is How expensive or cheap I believe your passport should be returned to via VFS before Friday next weekend |

b31164707:I was refused for just because credits of N2,000 and N12,000 though I explained it was a bank refund. So like you said, if there’s an email from the bank to say yes this was a refund or reversal then also a chat from the individual that would also go a long way. They don’t just like credits that’s not your salary. Though I explained, the dumb officer didn’t buy it the first time, so please put enough bank documents to explain. |
