Then, that part

Have you ever been refused entry to any country?

Yes, I have

What is the reason?

You state it was due to some deposits that entered my account days to my application, which I didn't explain. However the funds were actually xyz and this I have taken note of in this application

This is getting complicated.

I don't want to advise you wrongly.

Cos we don't know what you claimed in the previous application.

UKVI always search previous entries

If I sent a paid email can anything be revealed to me both my information in previous application and the refuser letter where I am getting worried is because I don't have time

In all honesty, I don't know if that works to extract previous records.

Why not give it a try since they deal with cases on respective merits

How long does it take to get a response from UKVI.. I did biometric on the 31st... I'm yet to get a response...

Any advice on what to do?

The confusion here is that I don't have access to anything the previous person that help me apply for the Visa filled in the application now I want to do everything by myself so what should I do # Davodyguy, will the new application affect anything he might have filled in the other visitor visa because I am applying for work visa
Please try to contact the person who filled out your form previously, as you can’t access the information they provided. If all efforts fail, I suggest noting this in the additional information section of your work visa application to address any potential conflicting information. This will help prevent the ECO from imposing a 10 year ban, which is typically the worst-case scenario.
Also, keep in mind that a standard visitor visa application will not impact your work visa application, as the work visa is points-based. If you meet all the points criteria, you’ll secure the visa. Goodluck

1: Yes, I entered all the previous refusal, I know they like it when you come clean with them, they can see all your previous refusals on their data, the date and time is on your profile, I think when they enter your name and DOB it will match with all your applications if any, and they can see the reasons for refusal and the documents you may have submitted, though all the reasons were same, I noted each refusal on the online form.
They never pointed out my previous refusal, I made sure I gave a concrete explanation for all the previous refusals.
I was interviewed in British Lagos Consulate when I was 18 and I wrote all the questions the British guy asked me and the answers I gave him and the name of the white guy who interviewed me too, I looked his ID, I also detailed everything in the embassy, the office I entered and the glass window and the camera that I looked.
So they knew this person came well for them…
I even told them to go play their CCTV at that very date, they will see my young self entering their embassy.. haha
While it may be more tight for him, he just needs to explain it, and make sure there is a continues trend from that life till now.
Don’t just go bring a new fresh thing to them, some may not buy it. Let them see how far you have come from that year till now, so they can track your personal growth, I think that’s one thing I really knocked on.
So when I was refused first, I was very disappointed and that made me write them, I can’t have this honest life and you tell me I can’t visit the UK, no way.
If I was an English with my job and small money saved I’m not sure you can deny me a visa, so why cuz I’m Nigerian. Omo I gave them hot in my letter, though they didn’t faze much but I think it made them seat up for my second application.
2: I did not make any reservation for airline, I only put the amount intended for flights and the airline name.
3: My income is roughly a Million. N967k
My expenses is about N290k
4: My budget for the 7 days I will be there, I think food was about 350k and transport about 500k

I only budgeted for
Flight
Food
Hotel
Transport(cab)
Ticket to Arsenal Game
Tickets for Tourism

I didn’t buy the ticket, I just put the amount for it and total it all.
That was all.

Always make sure not to budget more than 3 months your salary. Anyhow you do it, make sure you don’t get over this and also make sure the proposed amount reflect the events you going to do, maybe if you have family there it could be more cheaper.
In all that you do, avoid credits into your account that are not salary, infact make sure no credit near that account except salary or what you may.
The money they see N500 credit. Omo their hair go just stand for hand. I don’t know why but I had my own share, they said N12,000 and N2000 was not my salary. Lol
So avoid it.

I DON’T KNOW IF YOU BELIEVE IN GOD, BUT TAKE IT FROM ME, DO YOUR BEST AND PRAY.
My first application is November was a blunder, they went to mix my application with someone else information, all the reason for refusal was not related to me, I was angry but it was my breakthrough, Omo I settle down and used it against them, even the Entry Clearance Manager had to email me and review it and asked me to apply again, though it didn’t make them give me but I think it was an avenue for me to tight my bolt and nots.
All glory be to God.

Thanks very much for contributing again I am thinking to write this statement below 👇

I previously applied for a Standard Visitor visa, which was denied. The refusal letter was not shared with me by my representative at the time. The current application is for a Work visa, and I confirm that I have reviewed the eligibility criteria and believe I meet the requirements for this category."

Pls I need more advice if I am wrong correct me can the statement help or worse things up..

Hello House, with the new ETA regime for travelling into UK, does one need to apply for ETA after getting UK visa from Nigeria? Before coming to UK?

Half baked information. Why not do a simple google search? You do not fall into the category of those asked for ETA if you are a Nigerian coming with a UK visit visa.
Simple google search sir

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by b31164707:
Did you initially clearly explain these N12,000 and N2,000 inflows in your salary account though? Because if you didn't provide a detailed explanation in a cover letter, then I can understand why they previously denied your visa. It also helps to provide supporting documentation like email evidence from someone else who can verify the authenticity of your explanation. For instance, if these inflows were due to transaction reversals (which are very common now), an email from someone in your bank who can confirm these credits were due to transaction reversals will usually suffice as supporting evidence, in addition to an explanation in a cover letter.

Also, I'd guess your budget for the recent application you used to be granted a visa was between 1,100 and 1,250 GBP for 7 days (including flights, living expenses but excluding hotel accommodation)?

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by b31164707: 12:55am On Jan 19, 2025
Good evening everyone,

In addition to the extra inflows from bonuses and allowances, I have received additional inflows in my salary account, due to transaction reversals for failed transactions and a recent commission payment from my employer. I’m concerned that a visa officer may view these inflows negatively, despite my travel history, which includes two trips to the UK in the last 10 years for academic purposes, as well as travels to Qatar, the US, Ghana, and Togo. Although I have provided email receipts from my bank to confirm that these credits are due to transaction reversals, I’m hoping that these reversals will not be a reason for a visa denial.

Additionally, I recently received a commission from my employer for assisting the institution in raising capital from investors. However, apart from a line item on my bank statement showing the commission received, there is no other formal evidence available, as my employer is unable to provide a letter or formal documentation due to the sensitive nature of the transaction.

Given this situation, what would you advise I do? I am hopeful that the explanations provided in my cover letter will suffice, even though I am unable to provide full supporting documentation for this commission. Has anyone been in a similar situation, and what would you recommend I do?

Thank you for your assistance.

Your visa if granted has a duration and number of times you are to enter. If you're still within time frame, you're allowed to use it.

I got my visa in November, to go celebrate my wife's birthday.

We travelled and returned January, 2025.

After all the main reason of travel has passed right?

I just bought another ticket and would be traveling again this Easter, cos of my valid visa yet to expire.

I hope this clears your mind.

Emphasis on number of entries and duration

This is for next time.

When traveling, aside from looking at cost and airline's comfortability (food, entertainment and travel hours) look at restrictions etc.

I booked ticket on Friday and while booking, Lufthansa was the cheaper to London, but I need transit.

Checked KLM and Air France, they're also cheaper than BA, VA and Air Peace, but both requires transit and most importantly you'll only be allowed Just a single 23Kg bag and hand luggage 🧳 for free

I looked at all these and my sincere travel agents laid all options to me, before we chose one of the three that takes us from Lagos to London direct with 23kg*2

So when next you're traveling, consider

Total travel time
Need for ATV
How comfortable airline is
How expensive or cheap

I believe your passport should be returned to via VFS before Friday next weekend

I was refused for just because credits of N2,000 and N12,000 though I explained it was a bank refund.
So like you said, if there’s an email from the bank to say yes this was a refund or reversal then also a chat from the individual that would also go a long way.
They don’t just like credits that’s not your salary.
Though I explained, the dumb officer didn’t buy it the first time, so please put enough bank documents to explain.
