Thank you all for your valuable contributions on this my journey into solar usage.

As of today, by God's help I was able to make a purchase of the recommended solar and I'm just waiting for delivery.

Please as regards the solar panel should it be Jinko brand or any , as I can see Canadian solar brand during my search on net, so which should I purchase. Please do recommend.

Thanks.
Good for you!

Buy new Jinko or Canadian Solar
Avoid used panels.

I wouldn’t recommend Africell, imagine having to buy 3 pieces of 200Watts just to get the output 212-220 max so far.

So I’d suggest you go for Jinko, a lot of people here have attested to its efficiency.

Congrats Chief!

BigDickProblems:
Please I am throwing these questions to all experienced folks, kindly help me with your knowledge:

My panels are not giving me a good output using a PWM, now I just got a Felicity 30AMps controller and it’s even worse. Below are my observations today

I have 2pcs of 180Watts 12/18V panel with a max current of 10Amps. Parallel connection.
Below is what I got after trying the MPPT to see if there will be any improvement

Felicity MPPT
1.0Amp 14V =‘14Watts @8:30am
1.4Amp 16V = 22.4Watts @9:00am
2.2Amp 15V = 33Watts @9:30am
2.4Amp 15V = 36Watts @9:38am
2.6Amp 15V = 39watts @10:00am
2.8Amp 15V = 42Watts @10:20am
3.1Amp 16V = 49.6Watts @11:00am
3.4Amp 15V = 51Watts @11:20am

With PWM: I quickly changed the connection back to PWM
3.8Am 14.1V = 53.58Watts @11:25am

Basically, what my observation is telling me is that the PWM is better. But overall, something is wrong with my system, and I don’t know what it is. This is 14% of my panel output I am getting.

The sun is literally shining on top of my Panel. I am getting tired. Please what could be the problem? Could it be the cable used? Below is the image of the cable:
Should in case anyone gets to see this someday. Well I later got 2 extra panels (all Africell after returning the faulty Twintech panel) and on a very good sunny day, I get around 220Watts -230watts max so far so good. My system gets fully charged during the day, and there will still be more power to up my appliances as well once full.

And after some experiments down the line, I can boldly tell you that the MPPT is actually better than the PWM, just as many would say.

Somehow, this works for me. At times when I'm out late, I can access my ecoflow app and control my D2 which is connected to the home wifi. So I can access all it's functionality and either turn it on or off, remotely.

I can even tell if there's NEPA light by the input voltage.

Presently, I'm out several kms out, and I just turned out my D2 which I deliberately left on.

Also, the only way to use the automation function is to connect the D2 to the Internet.
Yes, the internet connection is the only way to monitor and control the unit when outside the Bluetooth range.

It cant go above 950k. U never add solar panel wires o.
U didn't mention the type of solar battery o.
U never add work workmanship.

Well thanks. First of all I like an already made unit plug and play, portable. When I travel I go with it enjoy my life where ever I go.
Second of all this unit was the best price. Considering it is 2000wh and a LiFePo4 battery. And the other beautiful features like extreme charging speed.
It was given at a promo price when they were on promo.
Considering the solar panels and the delivery of everything it is a bang for the bucks.
I made my enquiry for months. No seller in the whole of jiji, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram agreed to sell 1.2 for only the generator how much more with panels and delivery of both.

My female friend did solar of 900k and it charges in over 20 hours it can't even carry a fridge.
As at the time she did it this powerstation was just 1m.
Probably an engineer deceived her.

Second of all powerstations can be upgraded. Incase u don't know. This is the future

I am not a solar newbie. I can give u 11 reasons why these portable plug and play units are better
Thumbs up for the powerstation enthusiasts

My Ecoflow Delta 2 has stopped charging after it became full with the solar. I guess it’s because of the charge limit. Does it have to discharge before I charge it again as it’s currently not receiving any input

Your explanation is not clear
Is the power station in use as you're charging it huh
If your input and input have minor difference then it won't charge

For example is your output is about 250 watts and your input is let's say 230 watts , it won't charge until your battery depletes a bit

I was charging and using. The battery got full with solar charging and it stopped inputting from the solar because of the charge limit . Do i have to keep charging and discharging?

Don't unplug the charger
Just keep using it

The sunlight is not at its prime due to dust in the atmosphere. Wait till the rain fully starts before you see the real quality of the solar panels

I didn’t unplug it. It just stopped inputting charge from the solar when it got to 100% and then it was discharging.

It'll discharge minimally if input is not equal to output

nothing is coming into input when it has reached charge limit and output is 129w. Input was 349 before reaching charge limit. No input is coming into it. The charge limit here is 95%. It stopped charging when it got there and started discharging and there’s no input

Wait for the 2nd rain of the year. It is not about the heavy sunshine but quality of weather. Harmattan is not that great for solar despite the abundance of sunshine. I believe we have mentioned that on this platform a lot.

That's even impressive in this type of weather...mine has dropped to 240s now from 350...dust and all kind must be on it now. I await the 2nd rain of the year when all will be washed away.

That's the normal way. When it is full, it will stop charging. But then when your load makes the battery level drops to 97%, it will start charging again. That's how it works. Whatever your charging limit is. Mine is 100%.

POWER STATION
This looks nice, did you get this from any of these stores in Lagos? made by one of our own here in Nigeria? You say it is 3000WH, how fast does it charge from 0-100 with NEPA or Gen, and what's the maximum solar input the unit will take?
