I'm not a Nigerian and I don't know much about Nigeria tribes... I just know that you guys have about 500 tribes with major ones being Yoruba, Igbo, and Hausa.

Hausa that i know has totally dropped their traditional religion for Islam. So what's the reason for your men not being circumicised as Islam is against it?

Hausa of yesteryears do not practice circumcision but Islam has changed that.

Every where there's a Muslim Male Birth, he is circumcized on the 8th day (During the naming ceremony). If the parent don't do the naming on 8th day, he is circumcized regardless.


You are still holding on to a misguided belief of decades.

The fact you get information about some Nigerians on Nairaland doesn't make it accurate.
Nigeria is so diverse that some people have never left thier region throughout thier lifetime and internet doesn't do justice as facts are twisted.


If you go by Nairaland narrative, you had think the Northern part of the Country is archiac but most of the people carrying these narrative have never being to the North and are Surprised/astonished on thier first Visit.


Igbos/Yorubas always insult Northerners on this platform, but when thier Youths go for National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in the North, they prefer to stay thier after service never return to their region.

Conversely, most Hausas keep trying to work redeployment back to the North with all thier might.

INFORMATION ON NAIRALAND IS NOT ALWAYS ACCURATE.
