Thousands Of Opposition Supporters Join APC In Katsina Ahead Of Elections by TimeManager(op): 4:39pm On Jan 27, 2025

Supporters from various opposition parties in Katsina State formally joined the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on Sunday.

The majority of the defectors were from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), the Accord Party, and the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), among others. Notably, Rabiu Bakori, the PDP’s deputy governorship candidate in the 2015 election in Katsina, was among those who switched allegiance.

The decampees were officially received by the APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, alongside members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), during the flag-off of the APC Local Government Elections Campaign at Ingawa Local Government Area.

Describing the event as historic, Ganduje assured the new members of fair treatment, emphasizing that the APC is the party committed to delivering the true dividends of democracy.

He stated, “Those we are receiving today are from the PDP, NNPP, Accord Party, APP, and PRP. Katsina people are known for their dedication, hard work, unity, hospitality, and religious values.”

Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda also expressed confidence in the APC’s continued success, promising to sustain the development efforts initiated under the party.

He assured supporters that the party would emerge victorious in the upcoming local government elections scheduled for February 15, 2025.

“We are welcoming over 100,000 decampees today from the PDP, NNPP, PRP, and Accord Party, who have acknowledged the impact of our efforts. To our supporters, I urge you to come out in large numbers and vote for the APC without fear.

I assure you that we will continue the good work we have started under this administration. Our former governors, senators, and House of Representatives members remain united,” Radda stated.

The dancing Governor is ready to come in but Osun APC dey vex, they don't want him, I don't know how Asiwaju will solve that matter. Kwankwaso is standing by the door to come in anytime soon, the preparation is underway with Ganduje getting a new position as Board chairman, FAAN. APC won almost all the elections that was conducted last year and they are set to push harder this year. The handwriting this time, is far more legible than what was seen on the wall of that Babylon king(Belshazzar).

Some dumbos in faraway Abatete and Ogidi are of the opinion that it is impossible for PBAT to win in core North and South. They are the largest group of clowns anywhere in the world

'Northern gang-up against Tinubu' in the mud.

If you're a Northern APC Governor, your approach to 2027 can't be 'vote for me, but don't vote for Tinubu'.

PDP Governors who did that against Mr Jonathan in 2015 were 'mistakenly' swept out out office by voters and replaced by APC Governors.

Today, after 10 years out of power, most PDP politicians regret their actions, cause now, money done finish. My PDP politician neighbour has been telling me, they'll win this election, next election, the one after. After each election, PDP still loses, and then he complains bitterly that APC rigged

Also APC politicians know that if PDP ever wins the Presidency, PDP will not leave Aso Rock for at least 20 years. Afterall, PDP were the master riggers, and manipulators.

So no APC politician can take the risk of letting in PDP.

Come 2027, Nothern APC politicians, even those who don't like the President, will prioritise their personal interest over any Northern desire to vote out Mr Tinubu.

Lol. I've learnt to not make predictions based on Local Government polls and decamping. Unless there's a positive upturn in the economic fortunes of the country and a huge reduction in inflation which reflects in the cost of food and general cost of living within the next one year, I don't see how the APC and Bola Ahmed Tinubu will win in 2027.

Again, the SE's VAT contributions to the government, to me, is way too much! I sincerely commend the SE governors for achieving such feat. The same region that has little or no federal presence is being compared and expected to contribute so much to the VAT pool. Where is that done?

Lastly, when it comes to business and fiscal matters, you just can't beat the SE to the game. Imagine contributing 100bn plus and getting 300bn plus. You nor dey look face?? You want Emeka to close shop??
