If we read these verses literally, Genesis 1:31 says that God was satisfied that everything in creation was good, and Genesis 6:6 says that God later realised that this was not the case. That means that at the time of creation, God did not know what the future would be—he was not omniscient. What is your view about this? |

The Perfection of Creation was from beginning to the end Not just the beginning Since He knew also that Jesus(The Perfection) was still going to come, he saw a perfect creation even from the beginning |

PerfectView:In the period between Genesis 1vs 31 and Genesis 6 vs 6, we also learn that YHWH, who later introduces Himself as God of Israel, cursed all that He created after man fell. Can that which is cursed remain good? ![]() |

He never claimed omniscient it's humans with their presumptuousness who are saying all that! |

PerfectView:Everything being very good doesn't mean perfection.the creation in genesis was a prototype to the real deal, which is Christ. Prototype might be good or even very good, that doesn't make it the reality on ground. Perfection is from Christ(the second Adam)not Adam in prototype in genesis(first Adam) |

PerfectView:Which kain mumu post be dis? Did you not see Satan spoilt that which was very good before? As Satan has spoilt it do you not see God managing it like that? Or are you that dense not to real eyes that the only option is either God kukuma destroys us, His work or manage it? And that He chose manage it for our living sakes? Just say that you know that you God is going to destroy you later so you are wishing that He had destroyed the world before you were born. |

ichuka:Once a Creator says his creation is good and releases it for use, he impliedly says it is perfect according to him. But perfection does not mean that a product is free from alteration or destruction. Eg see how smugglers have altered our dearly beloved Camry and Volvo in Badagry even their creators will be shocked. |

Sirmwill:So would there be a need for Jesus to come if Adam had not sinned? |

Dtruthspeaker:So you are saying that God did not know that Adam will disobey and follow Satan? |
| Re: Can You Reconcile Genesis 1: 31 With Genesis 6:6? Is God Really Omniscient? by Dtruthspeaker: 12:59pm On Feb 03, 2025 |
Truthseeker10:He knows 2 things: 1) Adam could have beaten Satan which we see Male Adam had already done. 2) Adam could listened to Satan and follow him. No different from you marrying your wife even though you know that she could cheat! That is omniknowingness too. So knowing is cheap exactly how we say talking is cheap. |

Dtruthspeaker:So God was not sure of the exact thing that Adam would do? So the way man knows Is the same way God knows? |
| Re: Can You Reconcile Genesis 1: 31 With Genesis 6:6? Is God Really Omniscient? by Sirmwill: 1:09pm On Feb 03, 2025 |
Truthseeker10:Adam was going to sin because his perfection was in Christ as he was human |

Sirmwill:So God Making Adam as flesh was actually making Adam a sinner? |
| Re: Can You Reconcile Genesis 1: 31 With Genesis 6:6? Is God Really Omniscient? by Sirmwill: 1:36pm On Feb 03, 2025 |
Truthseeker10:No God making Adam as Flesh does not make Adam a Sinner. If we as Humans were being forced and not given freedom by God, we would have spent our lifetimes complaining that we don't have freedom and we won't have been in God's likeness,as God has created us to be like him, that was why he gave us dominion over different things(freedom). His(Adam) Freedom made him accept to sin,and infact,It was a Sin(eating from the tree) because that was the law given(only Law then) Then later so many laws were given through Moses which even caused people to sin more (According to Paul) So, God sent a man who would fully be a human just like us and this Human showed true Sinless nature of God even with his freedom like us. Now,because, the law could not make people Holy, instead it made people sinners,Jesus having fulfilled the law(by not sinning) and the Prophets(by coming According to all their prophecies),he now gave us a new way away from all those laws that we can follow to be counted as righteous by God. |
| Re: Can You Reconcile Genesis 1: 31 With Genesis 6:6? Is God Really Omniscient? by Truthseeker10: 1:52pm On Feb 03, 2025 |
Sirmwill:You are contradicting yourself. You said Adam could have obeyed God and not sin if he was not flesh. So why are you now saying that it was Adam's freedom that made him to accept sin? Whether Adam had freedom or not he would have still sinned according to you because he was flesh. |
| Re: Can You Reconcile Genesis 1: 31 With Genesis 6:6? Is God Really Omniscient? by Sirmwill: 2:00pm On Feb 03, 2025 |
Truthseeker10:Adam being flesh means he could sin because the Flesh seeks the things of the flesh which lead to sin But the Freedom made him sin. If he was flesh, but he was not free to do anything in that garden, he won't have sinned |
| Re: Can You Reconcile Genesis 1: 31 With Genesis 6:6? Is God Really Omniscient? by Truthseeker10: 2:16pm On Feb 03, 2025 |
Sirmwill:So was it possible for Adam to be flesh and choose not to sin with his freedom? |

| Re: Can You Reconcile Genesis 1: 31 With Genesis 6:6? Is God Really Omniscient? by Dtruthspeaker: 2:46pm On Feb 03, 2025 |
Truthseeker10:Did you not see male Adam obeyed? And that it was female Adam who disobeyed and then turned and brought down male Adam along with her? (The same thing they are still doing today). Clearly tells you that things were working out as created and as God had planned. |
| Re: Can You Reconcile Genesis 1: 31 With Genesis 6:6? Is God Really Omniscient? by Truthseeker10: 2:51pm On Feb 03, 2025 |

Dtruthspeaker:The logic you brought made me use the word 'sure'. You told me that God knows two options that Adam would have taken. Adam took one of the options. Did God know that Adam would take one of the options before even creating Adam and giving him the law since God being omniscient means he knows everything and knows exactly what will happen in the future. Did you not hear and read that He made us to be like Him, like your mannequin is like you?Can you tell me all that is happening around the world today and what will happen around the world tomorrow? |

| Re: Can You Reconcile Genesis 1: 31 With Genesis 6:6? Is God Really Omniscient? by Dtruthspeaker: 3:09pm On Feb 03, 2025 |
Truthseeker10:The word you used was "not sure" and not, "sure" as you are now saying. And Logic does not care what word you use as long as you stick to the issue. And because there is no valid argument against the Truth, an opponent must stop or move post as you did. Which is why I said you have moved post from knowing (the issue) to not sure (off point). So, you do not have any reasonable thing to say on the issue. |

Dtruthspeaker:Ok..... so God knew that Adam had two options. Did God know the one that Adam will pick before giving him the law? |
| Re: Can You Reconcile Genesis 1: 31 With Genesis 6:6? Is God Really Omniscient? by Dtruthspeaker: 3:21pm On Feb 03, 2025 |
Truthseeker10:Think well. Do you not already know the options that your wife may cheat or may not cheat? Is it not her choice and in her power to confirm one of them? Did you not already know that yet you chose to marry her? And did you not still give the Law that cheating is prohibited both before and and after you married her, despite being knowing exactly what shall happen to her both positive and negative? |
