Bombblacks:
If Erik wanted a player of that profile he would have gotten it. He was the one that asked for Mount.
. Everyone knows ETH wanted the DeJong profile and we even had a fee agreed for him with Barca but we just couldn’t bring it over the line.

This is not me saying that DeJong is the solution we’ve been looking for. My point is that if we needed a DeJong profile, why did we spend as much as 60m on a player like Mount?

How many times did Arsenal or Liverpool make this kind of mistake in recent times?

Tyrell Malacia leaves Man United to join PSV Eindhoven, here we go!

Loan move with salary covered until June and buy option clause included, told it’s worth €10m.

Understand Man United will also have 30% sell-on clause as part of the deal.

I don talk am. There is nobody else and we are 1-2 injuries away from having to play him by fire by force. He is going to play sooner rather than later. I hope our resident and global youth critics will let him breathe.

🚨🚨🌕| Paul Pogba’s representatives have a good relationship with Jason Wilcox. However, in January there were no talks about a third spell at Manchester United. Pogba has been concentrating on getting fit on his own terms.

https://x.com/utdrobbo/status/1886694241516093505?s=19[/quote]Harrison is very good. My only concern is the lack of height. He excels at pretty much everything else and is probably better on the ball than even Onana. Unless he has a late growth spurt i am still doubtful.

Kukonki has the edge amongst the CBs even though he is the youngest and not even the best currently. His ceiling is high, and his being left footed is a plus. Armer is a dark horse because of how good he is on the ball. Munro's limitations on the ball might count against him but he is duels king. I don't think the Under-21 defenders will make it here.

WB is obviously Mantato. It is like he was built in a lab for this formation. He is perfect for it.

DM is the one with the murkiest picture. Fitzgerald as stated has a chance but since his injury last season he has stagnated a bit. Tyler Fletcher and Devaney have been better this season. We also have Gore and Kone in the Under-21s (both are rather under-sized though).

I don't know where the writer saw AM and WF in this formation. You don't have both. With regards the two 10 positions it is obviously Lacey and Ibragimov. Jack Fletcher is a CAM and the position does not exist in this formation.

CF is obviously Obi.

Do you think Seko Kone can make it at senior level? Who do you consider better fit between him and Fitzgerald in holding midfield?

Remember we don’t play holding midfielders anymore? It’s really 2 box to box midfielders in this 3-4-3.

Fitzgerald is more of CM and Kone seems to be more of a DM.

Fitzgerald missed half of last season and his development stalled somewhat.

I have not seen much of Kone since the club rarely broadcasts Under-21 games but he played well in the last game.

Still too early to say but in terms of snuffing out opposition attacks the best DM in the academy by far is Devaney. He might be too defensive for this 3-4-3 with 2 box-to-box midfielders though.

Woodward wasn’t around when we signed Mount tho. But the guys who handed Mount that bumper contract need to be sacked.

Napoli director Manna: “We made an important bid to Manchester United for Garnacho. We really wanted him”.

“We weren’t able to agree on personal terms with Alejandro, he requested an important salary to leave in January and we must respect our players”.
So na Garnacho fùckup the deal?! We don too spoil our players sha. LOL!

Person don injure like 5 times this season already. A serious management whould have released Shaw by now. When they cant even do that how is anyone supposed to have faith in them. The Glazers taking over in 2005 will be the biggest blunder to have ever happened in this club

Now this is a problem. The club is supposed to have a direction. The academy should breed players for the first team, meaning that our recruitment, even at that level, should be in sync with the style of play we have adopted as a club. It makes no sense to bring up guys who are best suited for the 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 formation at the academy level when the first team is going 3-4-2-1. There's a disconnect and this might see us lose out on some good academy players who simply don't fit the first team style/formation.
