Man quits church as pastor, who has 5 cars, tells congregation to contribute to buy wife a car

https://www.gistreel.com/woman-gets-tongues-wagging-as-she-rocks-rare-outfit-to-party/

A man has revealed that he stopped attending his church after the pastor asked members to contribute money to buy a car for his wife.

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), the man explained that he left the church after the pastor, who already owned five cars, told the congregation that his wife, “Mummy,” did not have a car and urged them to donate towards getting her one

He wrote: “I left my former church the day my pastor with five cars told us, ‘Mummy does not have her own car. Let’s get her one.’ I knew I was in the wrong place.”

Though he did not disclose the church’s name, his revelation sparked reactions online, with many social media users flooding the comment section to share their thoughts.

See some reactions below:

@lollypeezle: “Maybe he was talking about your mum, you should have calmed down. Let him explain the mum.”

@HonNonsoNwankwo: “I learnt from my dad that whenever a pastor ask for what I cannot give my own family, or ask for money to buy what he can live without, quit & run. That’s not God’s church but Pastor’s shop.”

@DamonAss101: “Me I left the day they were forcing me to speak in tongues.. I told them speaking in tongues, you have to be filled with the holy Spirit as a herd but this guy was practically teaching me to say macacasaba koboloko lala.”

@It_Chioma: “This is so shameful and you will think it is made up. Some of these men don’t know God.”

@Uzanethegoat: “my priest in a Catholic Church started calling offering from 15m that’s when I realized it’s all business.”

@IykeNwaObi: “So you ran away because you don’t want to buy mummy GO car? A whole mummy GO.”

@richiejon22: “I left redeem church cus d pastor said they are doing 100 days fasting for Nigeria. U can imagine!!”

@gskodam: “I stopped taking church seriously when I was a teenager. On this faithful Sunday when a family came for a thanksgiving and they spent about an hour on the pulpit because they were wealthy and brought in a new sound proof generator.”

@olulade15: “It’s been two years & some months I av gone to church & I feel no remorse at all. Most churches are business centre. The day I realized if I kneel down in my room & pray to God he answers I stopped. I only attend prayer programmes quarterly, half year or at d end of d year.”

90% of Pastors are demons….
My friend left his church when he had financial problems, he ran to his pastor for help because he and his family had nothing to eat …..

The pastor frowned and gave him 5k …..and since over 3 years now, the pastor hasn’t called him to ask him if he’s okay…..

Pastors are only concerned about taking your money instead of giving

Ha!

I don't blame the pastor, I blame his gullible followers who I believe are well educated but don't have sense. I have seen a pastor with ordinary diploma cert holder playing on the intelligence of a professor.
Same members will ignore their neighbors who are hungry and go to church to give to their pastors. I hate churchy people honestly, they are very wicked and heartless. Since yesterday, I have being pleading with my neighbor to lend me 5k so I can get foodstuffs, but he refused. He keeps running to church to pray. If I die, no problem. As I'm now, hunger is killing me

End time pastors, they're busy fetching money from their followers who are blinded.

Them no born anybody well to tell me say make I contribute money make them use buy car to flex, what will happen if he sold 2 out of those 5 cars he has, to feed his church members? Nonsense and ingredients!

Thief!

All this fake stories.
Re: Man Quits Church As Pastor Tells Congregation To Contribute Money For Wife by Righthussle:
Oga went to church with his brain🤣🤣🤣. if you continue like this, You'll end up not practicing any religion. These religions (christianity, Islam, Hinduism,
Eckankar, etc) are made for people who don't think, people who just do as they are told.

Your next church may not ask for contributions for mummy's car but that your tithe and offering will still buy cars for mummy and even for side chicks. Only fools think they give money to God when they give money in temples, mosques and churches.

All organized religions are into the business of milking fools. They all make almost the same silly promises (life after death in a fine place with mansions and virgins) that attract only fools to their religion and use threats ( if you don't accept my religion you will be put into hell where fire will burn you after death) that scare only fools into practicing their religion.

Guys stop giving these lazy pulpit thieves your hard earned money. Whoever or whatever made the universe will NEVER EVER EVER NEVER need your money for A N Y T H I N G whatsoever.

Any human being who collects money from other humans on behalf of an unseen entity is a THIEF . You don't need a judge to tell you that.

Any human who gives money to another human with the mindset that he/she is giving money to the creator of the universe or any unseen entity is not only a big fool but a mad person.

Any man who tells you he works for the maker of the universe is a thief. He works for his stomach. He must one day come to tell you his "all-sufficient " god whom he works for needs your money. The being behind the existence of the universe is not a human like Dangote, Elon Musk or Tinubu that will need workers and money. Wise up

Very sad and to think that these churches still have members it more pitiful.

I remember going to one church in Ghana and the pastor was calling people out for special prayers from 1,000 cedis which few people came out, then he when down to 500 cedis and more people came out but obviously not enough compared to the crowd in the church. That was how the pastor practically went up to 1 cedi to make sure he collect something from everybody's pocket and I was really shocked. Las las I didn't give Shishi and thank God I was only there for a few months visit so that was the first and last time I entered that church.

I don't believe a pastor that owns 5cars can ask members to contribute money to buy another car for the wife.

He should have named the church & location if the story is true.
So why come to talk on SM if he can't name the church?

Thats because you stayed too long in church and relied on your pastor for interpretation of everything bible. Learn to pass out from any institution. The church is meant to teach you things for a period and your study the rest for yourself. Dont stay too long learning.

Not true... Christians were not designed to live individually. We live and thrive through fellowship. Not necessarily the established and incorporated church as we know it today. But you can't afford to abandon the "church".

Heb.10.25 Not forsaking or neglecting to assemble together [as believers], as is the habit of some people, but admonishing (warning, urging, and encouraging) one another, and all the more faithfully as you see the day approaching. (AMP)
