Daansol:Nigerians and haste to ask foolish questions. Can't you ask more reasonable questions before bombarding him with the ones you asked? |

Bigheart042:Hey, man. I'd like to hear more about the reception you got from the locals. Talk on their food, weather, work ethics, etc. |
| Re: Coming To Qatar.. by Bigheart042(op): 12:38am On Feb 08, 2025 |
MufasaLion:Alright thanks for asking.. Well reception from the local is so welcoming but hardly will one sees the local I mean the qataris except you are working directly with them.. On the food! It depends..I only for their traditional jellof rice which is called billanni.. it's yummy and test good but other food I found them unpleasant. Though one can still access African food here but it's little bit expensive. The weather.. Brother! The weather here is something else most especially during the summer time. . Qatar could be hot but every house and office are equip with AC.. during that time the government doesn't encourage working outside and it's advised to carry a can of water to keep hydrated..and it can get too cool here also during the winter as if it going it rain snows.. Work ethic Yes it quite ok to work and earn a living in Qatar but just be good in a skill sometimes it's competitive but it's worth paying if you find a good jobs but experience is really important in most of the job here possibly Qatar certification on the job But one can still get some low paid jobs here and still attending to some courses so as to upgrade to a better job. So if you are not skilled..still can attain to a some courses which can give u a good opportunity while seeking for a job. I hope this helps.. If any thing else ask me pls |

Simeonjoe1:Yes, you asked foolish questions. Flight ticket, how to get work etc. Typical Nigerian mentality. |

Beware of scammers and traffickers trying to convince you that some west Asian shithole is land of gumdrops and lollipops. Slavery is legal in west Asia (kafala system) and they are violently racist and sexist. As reported over the past five years, human traffickers exploit foreign victims in Qatar. Men and women from Bangladesh, Egypt, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, Sudan, Uganda, and other countries voluntarily migrate to Qatar as unskilled laborers and domestic workers, often paying illegal and exorbitant fees to unscrupulous recruiters in their home countries, thereby increasing their vulnerability to debt bondage. Many migrant workers subsequently face conditions indicative of labor trafficking, including restricted movement, excessive hours, delayed salaries or payment withholding, denial of employment-associated benefits, passport confiscation, and threats of salary withholding and deportation; in some cases, migrant workers face physical, mental, and sexual abuse as well as threats of serious physical or financial harm. Anecdotally, s-x traffickers force some women who migrate for legitimate employment offers to engage in commercial s-x.https://www.state.gov/reports/2024-trafficking-in-persons-report/qatar/ |

MufasaLion:Not at all... Qataris are priorities more than any migrant in what so ever.. But migrant who are expatriate on a particular area would be smiling to bank in millions every months. |

Bigheart042:Do they require any medical vaccinations certificate like yellow fever before entering? Staying just for 4 days via their stopover program. |
