odizeey:Tbh am getting tired of Amorim. Must opponents score first before u wake up. Can't u kill off game for once. What is he really implementing dt other coach v nt done before. He is making 3-4-3 formation look like rocket science. |

engrelvis:We are still struggling to dominate and create chances vs "lower" teams and it's rather unfortunate that the story is still the same, even after numerous home games... Apparently, the manager is struggling to come to terms with the significant difference(s) between the EPL and Portuguese league. The less said about the illogical experiments with player positions, the better. We Travel to Spurs next - hopefully we play our normal low-block and get something out of the game.. Till then, na to dey read the manager's usual chochocho |

Højlund has to be the worst striker I've ever seen in this club. Kudos to Garnacho and Zirkzee, they changed the game. With what Amorim is showing is so far, he can't take this team anywhere, we're playing the worst football I've ever seen us play since I started supporting this club. Struggling at Old Trafford against bottom teams. He should be sacked this pre-season. |

What's the point of buying dorgu if you'll still play dalot on the left? ![]() Make Amorim no try this rubbish experiment again next time. ![]() |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Ellexy: 11:37pm On Feb 07, 2025 |
Showing favouritism by playing Dalot every time despite him stinking up the pitch. |

everton4life:He Joined November, this is February and we've progressively become worse. If this system ain't working, he should better resign let's know where we are going. We didn't sack Ten Hag for this nonsense we are seeing. |

odizeey:We didnt lose this one, but any average team will lash us. Amorim need to get his acts together, this season is a write in the league, avoid relegation, but in the cups he must be serious. We need to see progress to in the game plan, it only went down hill |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Jamiuokolaa: 2:22am On Feb 08, 2025*. Modified: 3:31am On Feb 08, 2025 |
Amorim:Apparently, we are still gonna see Dalot and Dorgu as unconventional wingbacks in future games It shouldn't really be a problem tbh - with the right approach and tactics, inverted wingers/wingbacks are arguably more of an attacking threat when they cut inside to cross or shoot. The bigger issues that need urgent attention are the lethargic play, slow build up and cluelessness in and around the final 3rd. |

engrelvis:It's really not funny at this point. I'm pained. But let's see how he will play from next season. Hopefully, we don't relegate. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by odizeey(m): 4:35am On Feb 08, 2025 |
CapitalCee:That's why I'm of the opinion that since he knows the players are bad and the owners didn't back him this window, he should just play full defense and restrict the amount of goals we swallow. Even if na 1-0 and occasional draws we dey play, make we manage. In his next life, he'll tell any club that comes for him to ready their war chest and wait for him till summer. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by odizeey(m): 4:37am On Feb 08, 2025 |
Jamiuokolaa:This his approach of being attacking focused might have him lose his job by the end of the season. I hope he doesn't regret. |

odizeey:But our attack na one of our major problems na Our last 2 games home games - we failed to register a single shot on target in the first halves.....against almighty Crystal Palace and Leicester!! When I see the players' ineptitude + the manager's cluelessness, it keeps looking like we are in for a looooong ride. I mean...how can we still be struggling to create chances at home vs minnows? With some of Amorim's/Players' interviews + the insipid performances ,i am beginning to suspect that its either: • Training sessions focus more on attempting to improve the discipline/physical conditioning of the players, with less emphasis on tactics.. OR •The players are simply not interested/convinced with the manager's methods... The possibility that its actually a combination of the 2 factors above, can't be ruled out entirely! |

This is not acceptable. The results and performance have to improve. We need something to hold on too that shows us that Amorim is the man next season. He needs to show us more. I honestly think he's losing the dressing room belief and the fanbase. |

Jamiuokolaa:The attack is a problem that is why I am saying he shouldn't deploy scarce resources into that attack. let those wingbacks do more of defence and be less concerned about attack for now. Since we can't score let them not score us. |

The Under-18s dropped points but at least Lacey is back. Now we just need Mantato, Ibragimov, Biancheri, back. |
