Trade makes no sense. Butler won't move the needle for us. Should have just rodde out the season. I understand KD nit wanting to come here. The conversation about him unable to win anything on his own would never go away. Perkins was already sweating it. But he ain't actually doing better anyway. |

SmooshCHN:Draymond X Jimmy Butler UFC fight. Count me in But damn y'all got fleeced. What manner of desperation?? Y'all really think you're a Jimmy Butler away from contention? You balked on paying Klay only to break the vault for Jimmy? |
| Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 10:25am On Feb 06, 2025 |
This is wild. But not to worry, Jimmy's coming.

We may not win a chip but we'd be entertained....

| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 7:29pm On Feb 06, 2025 |
SmooshCHN:I truly understand your frustration because the Warriors had the chance to do it differently. I don't think it will get better in the next 2-3 except you get lucky in the draft. Kuminga's development with the Warriors has been slow, you almost forget he was drafted 4 years ago. Essentially, you guys gave Butler who turns 36 this September a 1 year extension in exchange for Wiggins/ Kyle Anderson/ Dennis Schröder and a 1st round pick with top 10 protection. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 7:30pm On Feb 06, 2025 |
A40:This right here. Except the argument is that Klay is washed. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 8:06pm On Feb 06, 2025 |
Roland17:Jimmy is trending towards washed. The Warriors are stuck with two niggas 36 years and older on the supermax. All for what? Play in contention? They're so cooked it's not even funny. Extending Klay would have been a much better option than massively overpaying for Jimmy and handicappin themselves badly |
| Re: The NBA Begins by SmooshCHN: 10:50pm On Feb 06, 2025 |
A40: Roland17:You both know I wouldn't support this nonsense. Like how do these guys think? "Let's get Butler so it doesn't seem like we didn't do anything" you then go on to do something more stupid and then give him 60m. You know what's worse? KD shutting down a trade that would have had him on the Warriors and we all know is because of a washed up Draymond and the nonsense front office. Can't blame him. He'd rather lose with the Suns than take another disrespect from Draymond who can't hit a Christmas tree in the basement. All these is on Steph sha. He's ok with being "cool". We have no depth, no chemistry, no cohesion, no interior defence, nothing. I done give up. Jimmy Butler my foot. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by SmooshCHN: 11:00pm On Feb 06, 2025 |
Why did we get rid of Klay only to keep Draymond the bottleneck? Should have just paid Klay and left us with the same hopeless cycle we are used to. If I talk now they'll say I dislike my team. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Skrrrrrrr: 5:41am On Feb 07, 2025 |
Lol. Don't know if it has to be said but the warriors won a title 3 years ago. The last time the lakers won one 5 years ago, before the celtics won last year, they last won 16 years ago. Most OKC fans alive have never witnessed them win a title, they have one which was won 45 years ago. Only one team wins the title every year and no one has done a repeat since the warriors. Considering how stacked the NBA is right now, anyone would be lucky to win 4 in 10 years.... So warriors fan, don't you think you guys are tripping ??Steph and his colleagues have overachieved and as much as we greedily want more titles, if we do not win anymore, the world would not end.... |

See my guy Jerry Stackhouse! I always remember that 2006 finals series loss to the Heat whenever I see him. |

How the hell did Kenny play basketball at such a high level for as long as he did with those legs! |

Roland17:Same thought everytime I see him. It's sheer willpower. ![]() |
| Re: The NBA Begins by SmooshCHN: 9:02am On Feb 07, 2025 |
Skrrrrrrr:Wanting your team to make smart decisions and give Steph Curry every chance to reach the Finals isn’t being greedy—it’s just logical. If winning doesn’t matter after a player has “done enough,” should they just sit out games like some others do? By that thinking, LeBron should have retired after his last championship. This attitude is the same as players who stop trying hard after getting big contracts and we criticize them for it. It’s a lazy mindset, and it’s just wrong. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Skrrrrrrr: 9:31am On Feb 07, 2025 |
SmooshCHN:Nobody says the warriors shouldn't improve but the crashouts I'm seeing here is unprecedented.... You guys sound totally hopeless. I was literally defending steph sometime ago against one of us who says that steph should change his style of play. Same style of play that got us 4 titles. Lebron got 4 too from 4 different teams. It's OK to cry but you guys are wailing right now and it looks kinda corny.... |
| Re: The NBA Begins by afrodoc2: 8:06pm On Feb 07, 2025 |
Roland17:His legs were not like that when he played. His knee problems escalated towards the end of his career leading to his quick retirement and I believe the problems and surgeries led to what we see now. |

A40:And just like that he sustained a non contact injury ![]() The mavs traded so many assets to get Kyrie and Pj Washington and now they are stuck with Injury prone Kyrie and Anthony Davis in their 30s... yikes win now my foot. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 12:04am On Feb 09, 2025 |
etidy:Nico is going to need special forces atp. All that energy to shame Luka only to trade for Mr Glass To be fair the Mavs are actually deep just that their two biggest pieces are permacrocks On the flipside Max Christie. My goodness. He might be the real steal of the deal. That boy is gonna be a star. 17ppg in 3 games. 66% from 3 |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 12:08am On Feb 09, 2025 |
Roland17:Yeah till he gets hurt for no reason. What the hell is he made out of? Literally no one even touched him |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 2:26am On Feb 09, 2025 |
A40:AD at the 4 (PF) is demonic, especially with a guard like Kyrie and C like Gafford. He looked very comfortable tonight before the injury. For an injury prone player now past 30, I can understand his insistence to not play the 5. I don’t think the injury is bad, it looked like a soreness to a lower part that got aggravated. I am rooting hard for AD even more than I have in the past. With a healthy AD, this is a good starting 5 for the Mavs. |

| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 3:33am On Feb 09, 2025 |
This Wemby 3pt spamming is going to hinder him from greatness. On the offensive end at least and that will just be a damn shame. If you're not making your 3's at 38-40% clip you really shouldn't be taking more than 3 or 4. It's a mystery to me. You don't play perimeter defense so why are you spamming 3s on offense |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Skrrrrrrr: 5:44am On Feb 09, 2025 |
Still early hours but Jimmy looks good. Draymond ought to come from the bench when Kuminga returns.... There is no reason why you are scoring 4 points in today's NBA. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 6:37am On Feb 09, 2025 |
The Mark Williams/Dalton Knecht trade has been rescinded due to a failed medical. I so love this. The acquisition never sat right with me. That man has missed two thirds of his NBA career through injuries, and you knew it wasn't going to change with the Lakers. We have our Dalton back - a good rotation piece. And this also gives us Cam Reddish back, someone that can pe plugged in to the rotation in certain situations. What does this mean for our C position? We're definitely a man short. Jaxson Hayes is not ideal but it means we'd have to play small ball a lot. We've thrived in it in the past few games. Jemison and Koloko are going to be the backups. Let's see how it goes. |
