ocnovakmichael:one of the major cause of division among christians is because, majority of the church leaders have turn christianity into a very huge business empire so they are competing for members to make more gains. Especially those so called big churches in Nigeria are mostly business centers in disguise |

The time have come that men will no longer go to Jerusalem or come to this well to worship God, but they will worship God in truth and in spirit..." This is what Jesus Christ said. So where you go to worship does not matter but your relationship with God in truth and in spirit is all that matters. |

ocnovakmichael:when he said the harvest is many but labourers are few, he is talking about all this many churches spread on every street preaching rubbish just to amass wealth. True teachers are very few indeed. Opening churches on every corner of the street is different from propagating the word of God. If we have churches littered on every space available and those churches are only about material prosperity as the likes of Salvation ministry, Winners chapel etc are doing then it means nothing to God but a lot to satan |

1. Canaan land is a 50,000 seater church. If ployedepo encourages them to attend local churches he'll be shooting himself in the foot. If-You-know-you-know. ![]() 2. Those who leave the local church for canaanland just because they want to be under the direct teaching of Papa are either brainwashed, misguided or ignorant! If truly they want to hear directly 'from d souce' then they'll just have worshipped and attended the service online instead of wasting money to go to Ota. But, once again, how will d 50,000 seats be filled if everyone took that route? I too was also guilty of this: I would leave the local church closer to me then - Raji oba - and go all d way to canaanland. This is d main reason why even 'Papa' himself dare not encourage local church worship/attendance. Jesus himself had told us the best way to worship him: not in physical structures made with sticks and bricks but in spirit and truth - in our hearts! John 4:20-24 (20) "Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. (21) Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, (which includes both canaanland + local churches) worship the Father. (22) Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. (23) But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. (24) God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." |

It has clearly revealed that majority of people who prefer to travel kilometers just to catch a glimpse of Oyedepo, adeboye, kumuyi, and other big penticoastal celebrities preaching on service days are mere worshipers of men. I tell you these men are ordinary men like you with nothing special about any of them. Your respect for them make you see them as extraordinary but in real sense, they are mere business men. |

ZUBY77:If you call us Zombies you're wrong because scripture says, "Only the leaving shall praise the Lord." Zombies are the walking dead. For us Christians, the Bible says "We know that we have passed from death unto life because we love the brethren... (1 John 3:14). In other words, we have the God kind of life, Zoe, because the love of God, which is by the Spirit of Christ, is shed abroad in our hearts (Romans 5:5). So the Bible prove to the contrary that we are Zombies. Rather, we're the living. |

Corrections:Thanks for the warning. But as a Child of God, I shouldn't run from him that is in error but to correct him in love. However, as Moses' rod swallowed up the rods of the Magicians, so shall the word of God swallow every wrong imagination of man and hell. |

aalangel:The truth is not scared of the dark. The Bible says, "And the Light shinneth in darkness, and the darkness comprehendeth it not" (Johns 1:5). And in another place it says, "But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light" (Ephesians 5:13). Winners are not scared of criticism. We have been criticized by expert. |

richie240:Brother, I will speak to the contrary. Attending service in Canaan Land is not being brainwashed. It's a matter of choice. You see, the paralytic borne of four had to be carried from wherever he was to the place where Jesus was teaching in order to receive his healing (Mark 2:3-7). Many are not knowledgeable as you and I to know that the corporate anointing resides in the local assemblies also. Yet it's still a matter of choice, to attend service in Canaan Land or in your local assembly. |

Ever8090:If they preach prosperity in churches, that's because our God is a God of prosperity. As a matter of fact, the street of heaven is littered with Gold. Now let me ask you, if your own biological father is a wealthy man and also vast in charity works, well known all over the world: would you or would you not be proud to talk about his prosperity and how he helps people in the community? |

ocnovakmichael:whom did you win |
| Re: As A Winner Must I Attend Service In Canaan Land? by ocnovakmichael(op): 2:10pm On Feb 09, 2025 |
Ever8090:No! The churches are not competing for members. Rather, they're compelling many in droves to come to Jesus. The Bible says, "And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent?" (Roman 10:14-15) You see, Jesus speaking says, "Go into the world and make disciples of all nations..." The church is only trying to keep up with what Jesus is doing. Christ is adding to the church daily, across the world, such as should be saved (Acts 2:47). |

| Re: As A Winner Must I Attend Service In Canaan Land? by ocnovakmichael(op): 2:22pm On Feb 09, 2025 |
Ezmans:When we say we are Winners: it is not a notion of ideology. Rather, we are asserting what we are in Christ Jesus, "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." You see, even in plain english dictionary, an overcomer is a winner. If the greater one is in me, then, superlatively, I'm greater than anything that may come my way, isn't it? If I overcome all obstacles in my exam, as a student, then I will make the 100% mark. Making me a Winner isn't it? If I overcome sin by the blood of Jesus Christ, that means sin has no dominion over me, isn't it? If I over come ignorance and poverty, that means lack and wants are far from my household, isn't it? Those are the non exhaustive reasons why we call ourselves at Living Faith Church, "WINNERS." Brother even if you're not a member of Living Faith Church, so far you're a born again child of God, you too are a Winner. |

Aguogba:I'm not surprised at your comment. When Jesus preached on the earth, many despise his teaching. They accuse him of being in league with the devil (Matthew 12:27). And concerning the apostles, they says, "These that have turned the world upside down are come here also" (Acts 17:6). I have been criticize by expert. You have only joined the number of them. |

Yampotatocarrot:If you are a Winner, then you should know that Sunday services are held both at Canaan Land and all local assembles in Nigeria and around the world. The Bible says, "He who answers a matter before he hears it, It is folly..." Don't be a fool. |
