I submitted my application for the student visa yesterday and got the biometrics request almost immediately. I still haven't gotten the request for medicals and would have loved to book both appointments on the same day since I do not live in Abuja or Lagos.

Please how long after the visa application submission should I expect the medicals request?

Volatile nature of the acct, the opening and closing balance, and the explanations you give for all i listed including the supporting docs will determine if you are well economically established.
Bro please can I send you a dm?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by technix:
Medical requests will come in when the visa officer processes your eligibility (currently, that can take up to 7 weeks on average). But you can book the medical now and do it upfront so that you don't travel twice.

Your source of income is very small compared to the POF you are showing, even adding the N10m from the spouse, you still need to demonstrate how you raised N45m, your N450K monthly salary translates to N5.4m annually assuming you do not spend anything out of the money, so there are gaps as to how the POF was raised. If you can identify the gaps and explain the sources of the funds with documentary evidence, then you are good to go.

Order the GCMS note to find out more about the concern of the visa officer. What kind of visas did the children apply for? Visit or study permit? To be honest, visa officers are just doing anything these days.
How many months of statement of account did she use?
Additionally, you must prove how she accumulated the money. Personal savings, gifts, property, loans, etc.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 11:05am On Feb 15, 2025
There is a difference between source of funds and source of income; in your case, source of income can't equate the money on record. Try to explain the source 45M closing balance. I hope there is no lump sum in the account. Also let the husband attach a sponsorship letter for the 10M.

Goodevening House, please can someone help me explain this response from IRCC and possibly tell me how to improve it as I wish to reapply for winter after I deferred. Moreover I applied only
Monthly salary……..400,000
POF……………..40,000,000
Fathers support…..6,500,000
Total money……46,500,000 (36,758 cad)

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 9:40pm On Feb 15, 2025
Your father's E-tax certificate wasn't clear enough for the VO to make a proper analysis, Your monthly income doesn't equate to the amount on record. You will properly explain to the VO how you earn such an amount with documents.

I have a quick question about Canada visa application.

I applied from inside the UK with my passport.
Upon Travelling to Nigeria, the passport got missing. I have renewed it.
Now, they said I should send passport.

1. Please, can I send it directly with DHL to the Embassy in London straight or I should send to my friend who will then send it
2. Can I send the new passport and do I need to attach anything to it.
E. Is it possible to send it here in Nigeria to the Canadian VAC

Hope it won't affect the decision made.

What's the best site to get GCMS notes from, I requested it directly from the ircc website but I'm not sure if I did it correctly. I heard you are supposed to pay but I was not requested to pay when I applied for the refusal note. I got this email after applying though.

Hello guys. Please
My sponsor has mutual funds and bonds being held at standard chartered bank.
We plan on liquidating them to show as proof of funds, would there be any documentation to show liquidation?
we already have a portfolio statement and investment certificates

Do you have a dollar pay slip? Are you working with an international organization? Even at that, they can only convert your money to naira equivalent

Okay so what do you suggest I do because it’s a Nigerian company and I told the person to do a dollar payslips, I thought that was okay ……. Should I just tell the person to do a naira payslips and I act like it’s me that convert them to dollars myself to save up …..please what do you suggest I do because the money is in my domicilliary account 400usd every money as salary and the description is the company’s name …. I don’t have any money in my naira account because I wanted to use my domicilliary account to apply for study permit ….I didn’t want to use naira account because of fluctuations in exchange rates

Hello peeps.

Please I’d like to ask if one can open an account then put a lump sum inside mainly for study purpose and present it (2weeks/3weeks) statement of account for a student visa application then state the source of such fund in a letter.

Or should one just use an old account that has more than 6 months statement history then pay the lump sum inside and explain the source of the lump sum.

Thank you…

colleges are easier to get in, sometimes easier to study in.
colleges have study breaks, msc and phd programs don't.
university study load is more stressful.

Bobomaigida:
Most times the entry requirements for Colleges are lower than Universities, also in some cases in the past, it was cheaper to undergo a college programme than a university programme

If you have payslip in dollar (which I doubt) you may go ahead.
