Abachas hand was in June 12 annulment, especially as it cleared the way for him to take office.

I can remember that once shonekan's cabinet was named, and abacha was in it as defence minister the die was cast.

Major General Olutoye for years lied that he knew nothing about the Jan 66 coup. Only for him few years ago on his 80 something birthday admitted that Nzeogwu, Ifeajuna and Ademoyega approached him on several occasions to participate in the coup. He stated he refused because it would involve killingnof Nigerians.

Thank God the truth has finally come out after several years.

But how come no igbo politician was killed, they miraculously travelled out of the country during that period. Then ironsi seized power and fail to punish the coup plotters.

All the above made it easy for the narrative that it was an igbo coup easy so sell.

Now that we now know that it's not an igbo coup, and you please give answers to the claim above so we can apologise and reconcile properly and we join hands together to build Nigeria...

This thing is not hard , all this IBB book and the rest are just cho cho, adewale ademoyega why we struck is more than a comprehensive book on this matter and exactly why a counter coup took place was discussed extensively in the book chiefly among promotion of ibo officers by ironsi who is an unfortunate beneficiary of the coup,
Keeping the coup plotters behind bars and eating the best food available irritate the norherners a lot , it's not the coup plotters fault that this happened, most of them were in uyo prison when the war break out , and that was the reason they fought on behalf of Biafra, they are soldiers, they were all happy to participate cos it's what they wanted to do, Nigeria will not want them so they fought where they were wanted

Even nzeogwu was release from prison , Nigeria did not want him to fight on their side , Biafra too did not want him to fight on their side too, so the man arrange small force of guerrilla fighters and we're just fighting aimlessly alone until he was kill , non of the fighting side want him, according to adewale, nzeogwu is a sweet talker , he can convince you to shoot your mother
