According to jassim that was a lie. His bid was even signed by the Qatar national bank.

We're waiting for the legal challenge.

League table since Amorim came in. How can anyone see this and ask fans not to question him. I can't begrudge anyone losing Faith.

It's an old article. I don't think he went through with it. They were recent rumours saying he was ready to bid again if the glazers would sell.

Bombblacks:
How is that relevant to anything? How many years has slot been at Liverpool. Moyes is outperforming Amorim despite being at a worst club. Amorim has no credit in the bank currently.
Again, situational awareness.

Slot didn't come into a team that was 12th at the middle of the season. Liverpool that has players in double figure stats.

Baba. No team you'll give Moyes that he won't
most likely take away from relegation at this point in his career. He has experience in that area. But not to win the league.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by MRTA7: 1:29pm On Feb 24, 2025
Bombblacks:
I can't stand anyone defending Amorim currently. Moyes went to Everton who were relegation contenders and in 8 games won 4, draw 2 and lost 2. That's the same amount of wins Amorim has in 15games at United which includes embarrassing Home defeats and you all think it's just the players. He has underperformed badly even with this current crop of players.
I cant defend Amorim. The league table from when he started the job till now shows him at 17th place over the 15 games.

I dont know if I can trust the people who decided he was a good idea to hire the next manager. or if they same people who wined and dined a DoF only to sack him within a few months after having to pay conpensation to sign him. Make all of them get out.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by odizeey(m): 1:36pm On Feb 24, 2025
Even if na Siasia them appoint. If he has set up his own team, I won't call for his sack.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by odizeey(m): 1:43pm On Feb 24, 2025
When I dey say make this man play ultra defense and counter to get at least one point them think say I dey carry talk. 😀

Cos most fans are fickle and irrational. You have to please them a little. It won't make sense to sack this man and another manager will come and start the new season with us, getting the things Amorim did not get. It will be unjust.

I also suggested he resigns if he doesn't get a good amount of players in January.

That boy can be easily called the worst United signing ever, he has been useless since he started playing regularly under Ole till date.

Was it working when Amorim piped him 4-1?
Na you talk say na when Liverpool beat am the tactic stopped working

He was losing games in every season he has sent, So was the tactics not working when Ole beat him too

See the oloriburuku wey Glazers sold part of the club to.

Audio billionaires.
I said it back then that Ratface only bought into the club to create a cashflow for himself and children like Malcolm Glazer did. Seems like there is no end in sight for United's regression. Maybe it is truly the end of an era for us, we should just accept that we are now like them Leeds United and co..

Na still the same thing na

The league has gotten weaker that's why coaches at Bournmouth, Nottingham forest etc are capitalising but our own na 15th position with endless misyarns for public

Bring those players to Man utd and watch Amorim destroy them all in the name of style of play

Tueh!
How well were the same players doing under Bin Laden?

What is so difficult for you guys to wait for next season? We are not going to be relegated so you guys should chill abeg. If 4 months into the new campaign we are languishing in 15th, then you'll see that most of the people who are asking you to be calm will lead the charge for his sack...When I say most, I am number one on the list...

He was always reported to be a United fan from many decades. Its only because he was interested in buying Chelsea when they were upbfor sale that the doubts started to creep in.

If 15th position was the goal this season, I am sure Ten hag wouldn't have been sacked at that time.

Dunno about you but a 15th place finish for a Man utd manager who by the end of the season would have been in charge of a whopping 27 PL games is outright unacceptable!

Let's not even get started with the negative records being broken almost every week!

Nobody has mandated that he wins the league or even qualify for the CL but bros, we need to see that we are on the right trajectory and a 15th placed finish negates that belief!

So far, Amorim performance has been extremely poor and the facts are there for all to see. He needs to shape up fast!

Meanwhile....

#mufc are currently facing the possibility of a £20m reduction in #PL prizemoney this season after dropping to 15th from last season's eighth-place finish, which many inside the club said was unacceptable.

Each place in the table is worth approximately £3m as part of the domestic and overseas TV distribution.

Guy, I’m not sure you remember when we went through a tough period in the past, but what’s happening now doesn’t compare to what we experienced before, though it may be for a justifiable reason.

Amorim left Sporting in the middle of a season when they were excelling in both the Portuguese league and the UCL to join a club that was heading downhill. The only addition he had to improve the squad was Dorgu. The club was aware of his preferred formation and had plenty of time to assess if he was the right fit before appointing him, even though fans could see that we didn’t have the right personnel to implement his strategy. January presented an excellent opportunity to bring in 2-3 players, but the management only acquired Dorgu, who isn't a poor signing but definitely insufficient to address the larger issues within the squad.

Let’s also not forget that even before Amorim arrived, players like Rashford, Hojlund, Zirkzee (who seems to be improving), Antony, Bruno, and others struggled. While we expected the new manager to make an immediate impact, I have to ask, to what end? Should he just change the formation to secure a few wins and temporarily mask the problems, only for them to resurface later? I firmly say 'NO.' Ever since Ole came and misled the entire fanbase, I’ve learned not to get carried away again.

Let’s give Amorim the chance to bring in some players and conduct a proper preseason with the team before passing judgment.

I understand that we are not performing well at the moment, but I’m willing to be patient because I know that taking the easy way out will lead us nowhere. Some want a quick fix, but I and many others here and elsewhere don’t. The difference lies there. A quick solution would simply involve the manager changing the formation to secure wins that would appease part of the fanbase, but how sustainable would that be in the long run? I want him to stick to what he knows best, recruit his players over the summer, and then truly give it a shot. If he falls short of expectations 4-5 months into the new season, then we can start to hold him accountable.
