Please who knows if Swansea University masters by research accept dependants.
Swansea university MRes program is classified as an advanced research program so yes it should be able to accept dependants; i haven't worked with someone who applied swansea but you can also send a mail to them to confirm;

You can use this template

Dear Admissions Team,

I am writing to inquire about the Masters by Research program offered by Swansea University. I am considering applying for this program and would like to understand if it allows for dependents under the UKVI guidelines.

Could you please clarify the following points:

1. Does the program qualify for including dependents based on UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) standards?
2. Are there particular conditions regarding the duration or status of dependents that I should be aware of?

Thank you very much for your assistance. I look forward to your response.

Kind regards,

Good day house, can anyone suggest schools with 2 years Mres with school fees below 20k for may or September intake. I just realised Gloucestershire fees has been increased to over 13,425 per year.
Do you mean a school with 20k for the 2 years i.e around 10k/year?

Hello House,

I am seeing one can move with dependants to UK on a research masters.

Does it still make sense to migrate to UK with wife and kid?

I am also waiting on admission from a university in canada.

Advise is needed.

Thanks in advance.

Sup people..
I have May 2025 intake MRes International relations.
Started admission process abit late though (7th Feb 2025)

Was given a conditional offer on 14th Feb.

Uploaded all requested documents on 18th Feb

Got another email requesting for two more documents on 21st Feb.

Uploaded them on 23rd Feb.

Received an email today, 26th Feb that my May intake admission has been deferred to Sept 2025 intake because their admission for May is filled.

Anyone received same email?

Hi, my guess... either Wolverhampton or UCLan.

I got same which made me go with another school that already gave me an unconditional offer. The speed at which the slots are being occupied?! cheesy

Preparations for September intake starts immediately after May so no big deal as it's almost here.

It's Bolton - I applied to multiple schools for same May intake. Only issue is I can't promise that May intake is still available but you can check/try.

Sounds like you'd rather avoid a research proposal? Lol, it's not much of a big deal as you think.

And I doubt you won't come across it (regardless of school) either before or after admission or even during your studies. Same as precas interviews; both are here to stay I guess.

Anyone here received an email that their admission to Wolverhampton has been deferred to September intake by the school admissions unit??

I want to confirm I am not the only one.
We were given an offer for may intake in February, but suddenly, we received an email yesterday saying our admission offer has changed and has been deferred to September intake.

Wow
People must have started that May intake like last year oo

The rate at which the slot got filled up is something else, Am suspecting those Indians and Pakistan.

Well, we move on sept.

I think it's majorly course related, People going for International relations seems higher than those going for Public health.

Please who knows about Swansea and how's accomodation cost over there.
Also what about jobs in Swansea. I don't really see much from that Wale side.
I will appreciate candid review of Swansea in terms of accommodation, job availability or what to expect.

Visa Alert, Visa Alert
Type: Student visa (Standard)
Bio:06/01/25
Not Decision Mail: 22/01/25
School withdrew CAS:17/02/25
Almost gave up but couldn't imagine starting visa application process again. Bargained with school to switch courses and transfer to June intake and didn't have to start fresh application
Collection mail:26/02/25
Success mail: 12:07am on the 27th

Went through hell this past 8 weeks but this platform was a great source of information and hope.
Never liked nairaland because of the toxicity and tribalism (on political discuss) but hope and cooperation still won.

@All.

Please stop posting your fraudulent POF questions here, whatever POF arrangement you have with your agent and bank keep it out of this thread.

And for those of you using untouchable POF to get a visa , make sure you have enough money to sustain yourself when you get to the UK or have someone to support else…

You will be here very soon starting a thread blaming the school and everyone else for your misfortunes.

The work recommendations letter is it same address to the university you applied to or just normal Reference Letter? Or is it specifically addresses to UKVI?
