“I regret taking my wife to Canada” – Doctor dumped fours months after Japa

A Nigerian doctor has shared his heartbreak after his marriage fell apart just months after he relocated to Canada with his wife and two daughters.

The embattled man, who is Yoruba, recounted his ordeal in a chat with a relationship adviser, Adeolatalks, revealing how his wife, who hails from Edo, allegedly used the Canadian justice system against him.

“I swear my wife ruined me in this country, and we just landed o,” he lamented, sparking mixed reactions on social media.

In his detailed account, he disclosed that their marriage started unraveling about four months after their move. He alleged that his wife accused him of domestic abuse, leading to legal consequences that have severely affected his life in Canada.

“We ended up separating when we arrived in Canada about four months later. She even went as far as to involve me in the criminal justice system here, which is not sympathetic to claims of domestic abuse,” he said.

The doctor admitted to being controlling in their relationship due to their age difference but insisted he never physically harmed his wife.

“I admit we had arguments, and I accept that because I am older than her, I may have lorded some authority over her. My controlling behavior was wrong, and I apologize. But I never for once hit her. It felt to me like a setup,” he added.

He further accused his estranged wife of financial recklessness, revealing that she had mismanaged ₦10 million in Nigeria before their relocation.

“She became entangled in a loan cycle of approximately 10 million naira, which she used for self-care over eight months. This money was meant for her personal contribution to the proof of funds for permanent residency, but she squandered it with nothing to show for it,” he revealed.

According to him, his wife later used their Canadian immigration process as leverage to demand more financial support, allegedly threatening not to travel with him and their children unless he provided the required proof of funds.

Their separation took a drastic turn when she reportedly placed a restraining order against him, preventing him from contacting her or their children.

“As I speak to you, I do not know where she lives, and I cannot talk to her because she issued a restraining order against me in this country, which she refused to lift even when asked by the government,” he stated.

The distressed father said his attempts to reconcile with her have been futile, and his in-laws have refused to intervene.

“We have two little girls, and I am concerned about them. I have done my best to get her back, but she got the police to put a no-contact order on me from the very first day. Her family won’t get involved.”

the mistake men make is to ignore the red flag. I am very sure the wife must have been giving him issues before they left Naija.
Once such woman leave the shores of naija, that is the end of the marriage

Unless she's going into prostitution there's no guarantee of any new meaningful relationship over there.

The man should be happy that this woman is no longer in his alive and she showed herself within 6 months if this story is true.

In whatever you do as a man, I know it's not competition but always work on yourself. I don't do those alpha males and beta feminist rubbish on NL but this is one fact of life. Men cannot let their guards down.

Because hypergamy is a fact of life, it controls attraction. In younger years especially, women are initially attracted to alpha qualities. These qualities are initially the most obvious. They are displayed. True/Faithful beta qualities are qualities that are displayed over the years. Initial attraction tends to be the alpha qualities. Does he exude strength? Strength is not merely physical (though that doesn’t hurt) but mental, financial (real or potential), and confidence. Is he courageous, willing to take risks? Is he competent? Does he show some mastery in something or is he pursuing mastery and showing competency along the way? These are all factors in attraction.

The man’s work is never done. He has a burden of performance that he must maintain and continue to achieve in some form or fashion throughout his life. Our attraction to women in general and our wives in particular isn’t based on their performance. We are attracted to them when we see them (with certain clothes on or without clothes on, when their hair is fixed a certain way, etc.) and when they show us respect. (I’ll have a whole letter on the subject of respect.) We want them sexually for these reasons. Women desire men when we show that we are performing men; strong, competent, and courageous.
