Hello House. I am sharing the current state of my application and want to join the conversation during this my second application. Find details of my process so far. 1st Application: Upfront Medicals Booking: 16 August 204 Upfront Medical at Q-life: 23 August 2024 Study permit Submission date: 06 Sept 2024 Biometric Collection Letter: 07 Sept 2024 Biometric Date: 11 Sept 2024 Biometrics updated: 13 Sept 2024 Rejection letter: 22 October 2024 Eligibility and background check updated on 23 October 2024 I ordered GCMS notes within a week of rejection and that came out 20 November. It said my study plan was vague and it wasn't clear how the course would progress my career goals. I updated my personal statement with one page on study plans, how it affects my career, etc. I added another page for family ties and return plans to Nigeria. I also added my business ownership documents and family business shareholding. I requested deferment from the college and got new LOA and PAL (2025 PAL received 05 February) 2nd Application: Application date: 13 February Biometrics updated automatically Medical Passed via platform update: 26 February |

[qGoouote author=Emma549 post=134287966]I am back to this thread to give you my people latest update. We are now PRs. As i write this, My wife is still a student but now a DOMESTIC STUDENT. SAME GOD!!!!!!! he did the study permit for us and in less than a year of entering this land he gave us our Permanent Residency. Good evening, pls how can I contact so you can put me through in this family visa application. I just got admitted into Dalhousie University for fall 2025 We had a strategy and God helped us. Getting here as a COREN Registered Electrical engineer from Nigeria, I looked around and discovered it’s easier to get PR with Trade skills and so i started my ELECTRICIAN trade pursuit, applied to challenge the interprovincial RED Seal exam, Got approved to write the exam within 2 years and four attempts. I researched for Red seal past questions online and discovered it was a tough one, i went to the college on my city and requested to see the instructor of the trade for level 4 apprentices, He recommended the CSA online electrical practice exam 1 year subscription, which i paid $90 for. Sincerely, chances that an uneducated Nigeria Electrician will pass the exam is almost zero as me as a University graduate of the electrical engineering studied hard to prepare for the exam, It took me five months to prepare and i passed on my first attempt.(pass mark is 70%). The Red seal gave me 50point in my CRS score and got ITA for PR. The PR journey story is long and i cant cover all in a single writing. If you will want to get more details or guide you can always send me a message. I will be glad to assist[/quote] |

How is it going with you guys over here ? Been a minute. My cuzzo got a refusal yesterday. I was helping him with his study permit. Did his biometrics on Friday, got a refusal on Monday. Crazy work. I know lot of you really wanna come here , but take into consideration that US elections,a lot of issues too. Canada is going to have a new prime minister this year too. They’re not immigrant friendly at the moment. Follow the news, this year is gonna be tough. It ain’t like before when thousands were coming in. I wish you all good luck. But remember, the chances are very slim now. More reason why you shouldn’t procrastinate . Just do it…,at the right time too |

Hello everyone. Can I use my company registered less than a year for link to home ties? |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by damyzel: 1:22pm On Feb 28, 2025 |
EseFUF:Hi EseFUF, 1. Ensure your spouse is eligible for it, depending on the course and duration of your study. 2. Write a well detailed statement of purpose (with heading: Application for Spouse open work permit) 3. Fill the required form on the application portal. 4. check for utube video and watch. 5. Check previous post on this platform. 6. Commit it to God's hands in prayer. I pray this helps as i don't have info on what you have done so far. Regards, |

Bro. Congratulations…but remove that you go see work tire, I’m in Vancouver too….even to see construction job you go need coded connection, not like it’s everywhere. It’s not really an industrial city…just kinda expensive, though livable with one of the best weather. Emma549: |

Please I need advise. It's been more than 6 months that I applied for my study permit extension with work permit extension for my husband and we are yet to hear back from the embassy. Eventhough I have started the new program, I am worried because the authorization to work that was sent for my husband will expire in few days. His employer is asking for a permit, same with my employer and school. What can we do please? Predator188: |

Emma549:I appreciate and congratulate you on your PR achievement, but please stop giving false hope with ur statements 'you will see work tired.' It is a bogus and unrealistic claim given the current state of Canada, where many professionals are struggling to find jobs. Even survival jobs are not easy to get, as more and more people are arriving in Canada, but job creation is not keeping up with the increasing population.l pray God help many new arrival struggling to found work or in a low pay job that hardly covers increasing cost of living. |

Hi guys, I submitted an application recently, however, I noticed when I was asked to put in my name I saw Family name (surname) then given Name ( First name) singular so I used only surname and first name, but all my documents has middle name and it didn't use middle name all. So my question is 1. Does it matter? 2. If it matters, what can I do to correct it. |

Please its been over 6months i applied for study permit extension together with work permit extension for my spouse and study permit extension for our kids, and no response on our application. The authorization to work given to my husband after submitting the application will expire in a few days, does that mean he has to stop working until he a decision is made on our application? His employer is disturbing him to provide his work permit too. What can i do please? Note that I submitted the extension application at first because I needed time to complete my first program. When my first program was completed without hearing from ircc, I submitted my new LOA for a new program as addition to my ongoing application as advised here. Did I do anything wrong? bullstriker: |

Good morning guys ….. please for employment letter as proof of employment….is it the employment letter I received before I started working 2 years ago or a new employment letter from my employer with recent date stating that I am employed with the company…..mind you it’s the same company I am still working with……..please guys I need your response 😩 |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by DTravel(f): 11:11am On Mar 04, 2025 |
I did this in my first application. IRCC updated the platform with my middle name based on my passport If you haven’t submitted, you should add middle name to the Given name sections. If you have submitted already, don’t worry IRCC will update it for you. dzionyte: |
