Despite the crowd cheering him on to accept the proposal, the man appeared unfazed and ignored them all. Even the lady’s friends, who tried to intervene, were also disregarded.

Many Instagram users criticized the lady for lowering herself by kneeling to propose, arguing that it should traditionally be the other way around, especially in Africa.
