If You Don’t Want Men To Take Advantage Of You, Always Stand Your Ground by Merry100(op):
Some of the women who were kidnapped or used for rituals were simply gullible; they were not prostitutes like they have been portrayed.

If a man you just met tells you, "Don’t you trust me?" explain to him that he is still a stranger to you and that you have no reason to trust him, you can also tell him that he shouldn't trust you either because you are also still a stranger to him as well.

Unless you know a guy very well, it's advisable to avoid meeting him at his house. It's better to meet guys in public spaces. If a guy insists that you come to his house, he may have hidden intentions. Is his house paradise or a museum?

Also, be cautious about accepting rides, some guys conceal charms under their car seats.

Today, when I went to eat at an eatery, two guys approached me and asked for my number. I gave them a fake number; they had already finished eating by the time I arrived, so they stepped out after getting my number. One of them returned and said the number wasn’t going through. He asked if I had another number, and I then gave him my real number and he left.

The other guy came back and asked if they could take me out but I told him that I wasn't free today. He asked where I lived, and I replied that I lived nearby. The eatery is just a few miles from my house, so I didn't take my car. He insisted that he didn't mind waiting to give me a lift, but I told him not to worry.

Don’t be swayed by their persuasion; always stand your ground. Some of the ladies who were used for rituals might have even been very decent ladies, but they were portrayed as prostitutes in order to gain support for the murders from women haters, and useless and ignorant people.

Your experience is a strong reminder of the importance of trusting your instincts and standing firm in uncomfortable situations. But honestly, Nigerian Gen Z 😂 today are too quick to be impressed—once they see a guy flaunting wealth like Pablo Richie, or spot a flashy car, common sense seems to take the back seat.

The truth is, no amount of money or material things should make you ignore red flags. Some people may persist, but that doesn’t mean you owe them anything, your safety and peace of mind come first.

If someone asks for your number, you can tell them no instead of deliberately giving them a wrong number. So obviously you are too childish to stand your ground. That aside

I don't even understand how a guy would meet a complete stranger and start asking her out immediately

Keep your unsolicited advice to yourself.

Sometimes, I simply say no. I use this indirect approach to say no when I believe it’s less stressful and more efficient. Same message, different approach.

The two guys were also quite polite and friendly. I don’t have to appear unfriendly or rude to stand my ground. I wasn’t interested in the awkwardness of giving reasons or entertaining unwanted attention.

I believe hunger and greed plays a bigger role in their attitude than being a Gen Z.

Most girls are so used to getting free things that they don't even care about their safety anymore.

Some years back before the fuel subsidy removal (around 2022) I was at Onike junction outside one of the supermarkets there waiting for them to load the items I bought into my booth. There was this girl who came (I don't know her) she just walked to me and asked me if she'll see bariga bus from here. I told her yes.

She stood for a few minutes and started complaining that she can't stand anymore. Besides even if a bus comes it would be filled and she'd have to squeeze herself inside it. I told her to order for an Uber then which should take her to her destination. She remained quite.

The next thing this girl did was to start flagging down cars until one stopped for her. They were 2 guys in the car, she entered the back seat and they drove off.

From Onike to bariga then was N100. With Uber was less than 1k. Yet she decided to risk her life to enter a strangers car so as to avoid making payment herself. Sadly this is how so many girls reason. A lot have been used for rituals because of osho free. Free ride, free food, free drinks, free spending...most of the things used to bait them are things they can easily afford.

If that's not the height of greed I wonder what is.
