We’ve seen coaches better than Nuno, Raiola and co come to United and fall flat on their ass. It’s not always about the coach.

How many players at Nottingham Forest and co keep making schoolboy mistakes? When Aina gets an opportunity to put the ball on the platter for Wood, does he take it or turn back and slow things down like Dalot did?
@Bolded,
I don't want to get into a back and forth argument but I just want to ask you: whose job is it to improve players when they keep making errors?
Does the coach just wring his hands and tear out his hair and complain in the media that the players can't play his SYSTEM?
OR
Does the coach double down, take it as a challenge and try to improve the player making errors?

These are what should be pondered because the players that United have in their squad are never supposed to be in the lower half of the table. The players may not be outstanding BUT I assure you that from what I have seen so far Amorim is not any better. In fact I am so sure that by December this year United will be looking for another coach.

It is not the job of the coach to tell his players to run. Neither is it his job to force his players to pass to each other so that they can score goals.

You can force a donkey to go to the river but you can’t force it to drink water. If the players at Nottingham and Bournemouth are egotistical and don’t follow the instructions of their coaches, they won’t be where they currently are.

You’re still wrong. Feel good factor or hype does not determine if a signing is good or not. If rumors surface that United want to go for Ronaldo AGAIN, some fans will be euphoric about it. Doesn’t mean that he’ll be a good signing or not. The proof is always in the pudding.
It's definitely the job of the coach to tell his players to run and follow his instructions. It's definitely the job of the players to get the best out of his players like those coaches at Bournemouth, Fulham are doing with more average players. How many of those players would you have taken before the season started over the ones at United?

Feedback and reaction will always tell if a transfer window has been satisfactory or not. You are on talking about a player being a success while I am talking about recruitment. You are mixing things up.

Please take note am not dragging these guys. These posts were in July and you can see how everyone was feeling good about the squad going into the season. Everyone was of the opinion that Eth has been backed and must deliver but now we are to believe the squad is not good enough to finish top 10.
This table you want to shake ehn... cheesy

Bros, just free the matter - it's just a matter of time

You’re still making my point. Fans are always euphoric about new signings, me included. But you still won’t know that a player is a good signing until they play for you for 1-2 years.

If your players keep making silly mistakes, will you be confident they can beat average teams?

Don't worry, very soon the Bournemouth and co will be stuck at the bottom half of the table, maybe you will change example by then. We have seen this too many times

Did Arteta try to help Ramadale “improve on his errors?”
Did Klopp “coach” Henderson to help him run faster and protect his defense better?
Did Pep “improve” Kalvin Philips so that he becomes a more rounded midfielder?

If those coaches couldn’t do that, why the hell should it be Amorim’s job to “improve” Maguire and stop him from romancing the ball every freaking time he gets it, giving opponents enough time to close down on his teammates?

Wrong. A coach can only pass information to his players. What they do on the pitch is out of his hands and totally up to them. And if everybody decides to be playing rubbish and he doesn’t have capable replacements, he is powerless to do anything about it.

Going by this logic; What exactly is the job of the manager/coach?

Next season it’s going to be Newcastle and Everton. The goalpost keeps shifting every season.

Set up his team to win. Instruct them on what to do and manage his relationship with them so they do what he tells them without compromising his authority.

You were not euphoric for nothing. You saw actual reasons to believe the squad was improved and good enough that the Coach should take all the blame if he fails to deliver. I am saying A you are jumping to B. We are talking about recruitment not signings that came good. We needed a goalkeeper when dea gea left and got Onana, that was a recruitment we needed despite him being s..hit currently. We need another number ten currently and if we go out and get wirtz that's a recruitment we need despite the fact that he may flop. I hope you understand what am saying now.

So in your opinion, has Ruben Amorim been able to do even the simplest of these tasks since he replaced Ten Hag?

Will that change the fact they used average players to over perform? Are those clubs not bottom half clubs on a norms.

Those 2 are too slow to even protect a bus parking defense. Unless Bruno is partnering Case in midfield and Eriksen is further forward as one of the two 10s.

We are tired of seeing that kind of performance. Just two seasons ago, we were comfortable in the top 4. A season later, under the same manager, we managed to finish 8th. Some months later, he was sacked at 13th or so. We don't want any rubbish overperformance

So the rest coaches in the league their players are following their instructions but it's only United players that are playing against their own coach instructions. Then why did we sack Erik ten hagg if it's the players and not the lack of any tactical structure?

LooL. You’re still wrong.

New signings give a sense of euphoria. That’s why you get quotes like the one you dug up. If you watch our games and see the lack of cohesion and silly mistakes we make, you’ll understand better.

I asked you to rate our last 5 summer transfer windows and for the last few pages, you’ve been prevaricating.

Nope. Sometimes you have better player quality and sometimes the coach might be underperforming.

But the rotten culture at United is not a secret…and is probably the worst in the league.

Here you see players like Sancho publicly having a spat against his coach and Garnacho liking every social media post that paints his teammates and even coach in a bad light.

This doesn’t exonerate the coach at all. But if your players are constantly playing rubbish every match day and making silly mistakes, it’s only common sense to put some of the blame on their shoulders as well.

The minimum thing a coach has to do is get the maximum out of his current players which amorim is not doing. Getting the maximum out of your current players is not overperformance, it's the minimum and that was why Erik was sacked. His replacement is even doing worst and rightly being called out.

We sacked Erik because we kept losing games, the players kept underperforming , and his relationship with them had gone to shiit. Why do you think Erik had serious issues with his players? Does it have anything to do with discipline and the players want to tell him how they want to play?

2 things.

Firstly, i am just happy to see Moorhouse and co on the bench. Maybe we can give a couple of them some minutes in this game and in subsequent league games.

Secondly, i don't want us to lose scandalously to Assanal. May of their fans are still waiting to avenge the 6-1 and 8-2 defeats we handed to them.

I really don't know the point of fielding a partnership that everyone knows is a fail from yesterday.
I'd have rather he rested Casemiro for the uel game since the lower intensity can allow him utilize his skill set undecided
if we lose this game and they are more fatigued for Thursday, I don't know.
