main24:So because they are not "good enough", you probably would have "preferred" us to lose all in a bid to prove your point? ![]() |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Bombblacks: 9:39pm On Mar 09, 2025 |
Jamiuokolaa:Haven't you heard. The squad is not good enough to win against the likes of palace, Fulham, Bournemouth, etc. Infact there's no point in us winning any game this season at all because it might affect our future or something like that. Like Eph said what is the point in winning and climbing up the table when we can just keep on losing while preparing for next season. We need at least 8 new players in August before we can finish in the top 10. |

Jamiuokolaa:Prove my point or create urgency for change?! - Managing to win is the reason most of these guys are still here. Short term pleasure, long term pain. |

Bombblacks:It's one of the problems I have with the talkative Amorim. As master manipulator wey him be, he has successfully hoodwinked and brainwashed numerous peeps with the "suffering first...victory later" mantra. You shouldn't be surprised, someone still said it on these pages yesterday that we should relegate and start from the scratch ![]() |

main24:Which urgency? How would today's result change the fact that Eriksen legs are gone and he needs a younger replacement? Or the fact that Case isn't the same version of his Madrid's self? Do we have to lose to prove things that are obvious already? This "suffer head" mentality wey Amorim don put for una subconscious sha ![]() |

Bombblacks:What's the point in doing everything to keep the players that should not be kept? Why do you want miracle wins that do nothing but create some false hope only to crash the next year? Are you not tired? |

What we played today is not different from what we played last year and the year before that. Where has it gotten us? Why are those players still here? |

Put Amad, Ugarte, a younger Eriksen, a more sensible WB not named Dalot and Gyokeres in that line up, it will be a different game. Our problem is that our WB outlet are not clinical in the final third or are just foolish eg Dalot. Then we don't have a clinical striker. We also missed Lisandro Martinez |

Bruno Fernandes is a Manchester United legend. None of the legends that criticise him would be able to continuously perform with the amount of scrubs he has around him. |

Sir Jim Ratcliffe on Ruben Amorim: “I think he’s done a great job in the circumstances, frankly, with the squad that he’s had available. The fact he came in mid-season, everybody expects miracles overnight. It’s not the way, not real life in my view.” |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Oasis007(m): 7:55pm On Mar 10, 2025*. Modified: 9:22pm On Mar 10, 2025 |
Sir Jim Ratcliffe: “Half the squad’s missing for Ruben. If you look at the top eight players in terms of salaries in Manchester United, 50 per cent of those are not available to Ruben. "You’ve got Mason Mount, you’ve got Luke Shaw, Marcus Rashford has gone, and Jadon Sancho (on loan at Chelsea). And he’s got a bunch of other injuries as you know, so I think he’s done a fantastic job.” |

Bruno Fernandes has hit 25 G/A for 3 seasons in a Row, only Salah and Haaland has replicated that in the entire league.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe on Ruben Amorim: “You have to give the guy a bit of a break. I mean, give me a hard time, I have no problem with that. But give Ruben a break. I think he’s a good guy, he’s working hard, and I think he’s doing a great job.” |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Oasis007(m): 7:59pm On Mar 10, 2025 |
Jim Ratcliffe: “I really, really like Ruben [Amorim]. He’s a very thoughtful guy. Every time I go to the training ground, I speak to Ruben. I sit down and have a cup of coffee with him and tell him where it’s going wrong, and he tells me to f**k off. I like him.” |

Sir Jim Ratcliffe on keeping Erik ten Hag in the summer and Dan Ashworth departure: “I mean, the Erik thing is slightly mitigating. There was quite a lot of debate about that at time. It wasn’t just the FA Cup final. The fans were clearly of the view that we’d like to stick with him and all that sort of stuff. But yeah, they were both mistakes. I don’t think we can say much more than that.” |

Sir Jim Ratcliffe: “It’s a journey and there’s a lot of decisions that we have to make over the course of that and we’re not going to get them all right. I don’t think in the future we’ll get them all right either because we’re not perfect.” |

![]() Sir Jim Ratcliffe: “If you look at the players we are buying this summer, that we didn't buy, we're buying Antony, we're buying Casemiro, we're buying Onana, we're buying Hojlund, we're buying Sancho. These are all things from the past, whether we like it or not, we've inherited those things and have to sort that out.” |

Sir Jim Ratcliffe says young talents such as Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho will not be up for sale just to bring in finances: “No no. We won't be selling players because of the state we are in financially. "The club had got bloated so we reduced that and will finish it with a lean and efficient organisation. That's how we will address the costs. The player decisions will all be focused on how we are going to improve performance. That's all.” |

![]() Sir Jim Ratcliffe: “We are in the process of change and it's an uncomfortable period and disruptive and I do feel sympathy with the fans. The simple answer is the club runs out of money at Christmas if we don't do those things.” |

![]() Omar Berrada on Ruben Amorim: "He was very clear with us. Ruben told us, 'This is how the team is going to play. I'm going to stick to my principles.' I think that's what we want, which is a coach who has a clear vision. A coach who can work with Jason Wilcox to identify the types of players for the system and the style of play that Ruben is trying to implement." Case fuckin close! If you ain't ok with it, go join Ipswich. LOL! |
