The yorubas were completely marginalised, save the constitutional ministerial positions. The igbos publicly made derision of yorubas and even told them to go and meet Tinubu for their share of Nigeria at that time. Nobody wailed at that time, the yorubas through their leader Tinubu, kept their peace, allowed Jonathan and igbos had their government and time, and work with the northerners to remove Jonathan from government. Tinubu saw what Jonathan and igbos did, saw what Buhari too did and that informed his famous campaign slogan "Yoruba lokan". So shut the fvckk bcs Jonathan and igbos started it. Meanwhile the igbos too wanted power to do this similar thing u are accusing Tinubu of doing through the Lord of bigot himself Peter Obi but Nigerians stopped him. Tinubu and his cohorts im PDP, AC and CpC formed as alliance and defeated the Yoruba speaker and giving it to the North West when North West already had vice president in the person of Sambo. The North West then had Vice president and Speaker and of the house of representative making the south West to loose out in the power sharing, Tinubu made sure south West lost out because it will benefit his agenda of becoming the president. The elections was supposed to be unopposed but Tinubu made sure she lost.

We did not vote for JUICY positions. That is the Eboe mind set go and study the Yoruba history in Nigerian Politics . In 1979 Eboes were VP and HOR Speaker . Yorubas were content to be in opposition. Even Jonathan was confused as to how the facility for building FPSO terminals was located in (you guessed right SW ) under his nose with Dieziani as Oil Minister and belatedly tried to move it to Bayelsa in the final days of his doomed governmtre remains in the SW. We are more interested in WHAT projects come to our zone than who occupies what position. We are not foolish.As long as the first operational free trade zone is in our zone etc you can have all those positions . Just like you did under GEJ who deceived you about second Niger bridge while approving the NEW seaport for Lagos etc we are cool with that. Lekki seaport,Lekki Refinery(the largest in the world) .Lekki free trade zone,Badagry Sea port, Olokola Gas, Ogun Industrial zone etcent.Guess what,it is staying in the SW that is what matters not "JUICY" positions that are only juicy for the person holding the post and his family

We want development not positions. The ONE position that Jonathan decided to give us ,Minister of Agriculture has done well for us in the SW.

What Stella oduah did against Yoruba will never be forgotten. This woman converted Faan into something else. I cant mentioned how many of her tribesmen she gave automatic employment and promotion at the detriment of the Yoruba people. What about the Yoruba Gms that were sacked? Senators from the South-east geopolitical zone yesterday drew the attention of the Senate to successive strategic exclusion of the region from key development projects of the federal government.

The latest according to them, was the N3.2 trillion Renewed Hope Infrastructure Development Funded irrigation development projects under the 2025 Appropriation Act. Their protest was sequel to a motion moved by Kenneth Eze from Ebonyi State.

Rising under Orders 41 and 51, the senator expressed frustration over what he described as mounting complaints from his constituents and the wider South-East geopolitical zone over recurring marginalisation of the region.

Eze noted that Section 4 of the 1999 Constitution empowers the National Assembly to make laws for equitable national development. Sections 14(3 and 4), he added, mandate fairness and justice in resource distribution.

He added that the 2025 budget allocates N3.2 trillion under the Renewed Hope Infrastructure Development Fund, with N38 billion set aside for irrigation projects nationwide.

However, Eze pointed out, while the programme is designed as a national initiative, its implementation plan excludes the Anambra-Imo River Basin Development Authority. He said it is the only authority serving the entire South-east.

He described the omission as “unjustifiable” and contrary to President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda, which emphasises equity and inclusivity.

Eze said: “The South-east, with its vast arable land and long-standing contributions to Nigeria’s agriculture sector, deserves to benefit from this fund.” He cited statistics showing the region accounts for 30 per cent of national yam production and over 15 per cent of cassava output. He also referenced major agricultural initiatives operating in the region.

Eze listed key irrigation and agricultural projects in the Southeast—such as the Auzara and Okaku Agribusiness clusters, and the Ivo Dam Irrigation Project—that could significantly benefit from the fund if included.

During the build -up to 2023 elections, the SW came with rhetorical arguement that it is Southerners turn. They were everywhere telling that the South should queue behind Tinubu. Fast forward to 2025, the Yorubanization of Nigeria has shown us that the SW never meant Southerners, rather South Westerners.

As far as SW is concerned, it is AWALOKAN, the SS and SE are not considered competent enough in this so called "Southern Presidency"

Not a problem, there is a saying that whoever the pear become available for, let him lick to his satisfaction. But let noone come and hoodwink us with "Southerners turn" in the name of equity.

Speaking of equity, let us do the matches, because number do not lie. For the analysis, we will assume that Tinubu will complete his current tenor by 2027.

OBJ - (South West) 1999 - 2007: 8 years
Yardua (North West) 2007 - 2010: 2 years
GEJ (South South) 2010 - 2015: 6 years
Buhari (North West) : 2015 - 2023: 8 years
Tinubu (South West): 2023 -2027 4 years.

By 2027, the number will be as follows:
Southerners: 8+6+4 = 18 years
Northerners: 2+8 = 10 years

So, the North can demand another 8 years to even out to the South 8 years advantage. If we want EQUITY, let us allow the North meet up with the South. A more equitable arrangement would even be to give the Siuth East the concession in 2027, after all what is good for the Yoruba is also good for the Igbos.
