Baba it beats my imagination how dat miracle is performed
abeg who Dey watch MLS? In this era that we have decent midfielders doing well in europe top flight leagues na wey we Dey smuggle in one from the US league when we have make or mar games at hand?

It’s obvious that Alhassan and Sadiq made the squad just to please a certain region in the country

As for that Papa Daniel Abi wetin I can’t just wrap my head around the logic that made him preferable to Chelle than Onyeka and Uche

It would have even be understandable if na the Goztepe guy self dem give this chance 🤦‍♀️

I want to give him a benefit of doubt and watch the two games b4 criticising him on y he left a 90min football week in week out player for a papa Daniel or alhassan…I. Want to believe it’s base on the way he wants to play (tactical reasons),cos I can c dt d papa Daniel and Joe aribo guys re more of central midfielders ,went for ndidi and alhassan as his dm options and iwobi as AM

Do u think he has more prospects than Uche?
I don't think so.

I can smell external influence in the final list because I see no reason why Papa Abi Mama and Alhassan will displace Onyeka and Uche

Okoye is back to reckoning at Udinese and was impressive in their last game but certain Johnny Walkers wey I no knw were preferred ahead of the Udine goal minder

Well mk I fold my arms dey watch 🤦‍♀️
There was a report I read recently that stated part of chelle's contract mandates him to include 3 home base players in his squad. Is Chelle saying Papa Daniel is better than Uche or Onyeka?

Played abroad as a teen in Turkey. The guy has potential and if he does well with the CHAN, he is one I think would have a good career beyond our shores
Aight then. But it's not in this kind of game that a newbie should be invited. Anyway I don't he will play

This team list is good but not balanced except we want to console our mind with deceit. In defence, the team is very light with respect to defensive substitution. Personally, except there is an injury concern, Onyeka deserved to be chosen ahead of Yusuf. And Uche be chosen instead of Aribo. Aribo and Papa Daniel are mobile left footed midfielders who played with similar style. But Daniel's physical balance edges Aribo. So, either of the two should have been chosen and most likely Daniel. We have seen Aribo in Eagles and know his stuff. But Daniel could be a new vibe with more hunger and passion. In attack, amongst Sadiq, Boniface, Tolu & Tella. i will simply pick Sadiq who is the most capped amongst them but always falter to impress consistently. Boniface will not get the space & time, Tolu's style is too relaxed for the SE, Tella lacks the 1vs1 skills on the wings expected of a SE winger.

Those two guys spoiled the list. I like Aribo but he's been a let down for Super Eagles. Frank on the other hand is fire

Another person I don't just like seeing on SE color is that Sadiq. He's not a SE player! He does not have the DNA. No matter how high chicken flies, it cannot be an eagle. And as Kog45 will bear witness, there are many attackers who score loads of goals for their clubs but were perennial flops in GWG.

It even irks me whenever he scores and the info is posted here. He creates confusion. He should just go.

Sadiq, Onuachu even if they score 100 goals I'm not inviting them personally

my brother the list tire me.

Imagine leaving out a whole Frank the tank out of the list in favour of one Papa wey no fit break through for Turkish league
If he was replaced by better players i for no mind. Infact how Ndidi wan take shield defense right now? He's error prone lately. He doesn't have the extra lungs Frank has.

Nothing can stop the fact that these guys always control invite list. Smh. Tanimu 2.0.

Na im be say this Tolu na another Onuachu 2.0.

Kanu and Agali were lanky players but effective for us. I know Kanu didn't score much goals but he impacted games.

I hope this Tolu is not like Onuachu cos that's another player I don't want to see near SE.

You too sabi. Walahi. As Sadiq scored two goals on the eve of this WCQ, I begin vex. Vex not because I don't want him to succeed. Of course I wish him well and more goals at his club. My vexation stems from the fact that he'd be invited and sure enough he's been invited. Sadiq na Ogbono

I've even come to expect one wild choice per list. But it's regrettable that at least Frank is not on that list.

Anyway, victory is the most important thing for us

Nobody watches MLS but overtime Alhassan Yusuf has proven to be a dependable player. He rotates the ball well, covers a lot of ground, closes space and opponent passing lanes. I'm completely sold on him and glad he made the team.

The ones undeserving of their inclusion in that midfield are Joe Aribo and Papa Daniel. In their stead, I'll have picked Frank Onyeka & Uche Chrisantus.

Additionally, I'll have dropped one of the forwards to accommodate an additional midfielder, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru (Anthony Dennis) of Gotzepe cos that midfield is too lean. In a squad of 23 players, we should be having a minimum of 7 midfielders.

My midfield selection would have been
Frank Onyeka, Raphael Onyedika, Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi, Alhassan Yusuf, Chrisantus Uche & Fisayo Dele-Bashiru (if fit) or Anthony Dennis.

Forward picks would have been Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Samuel Chukwueze, Simon Moses, Nathan Tella, Cyriel Dessers and Tolu Arokodare.

Defenders ✔️

Goalkeepers - My picks would have been Stanley Nwabili, Amas Obasogie and Maduka Okoye.

I believe there was interference in the team selection but the buck stops at Chelle's table, and he picked the team so he'll be held responsible for the outcome of the matches regardless.

Na now we go appreciate Pinnick and the free hand he gave his coaches to pick players.

Since this new Northern NFF chairman enter power, na so so strange callups. From Benjamin Taminu and co to this current aberration of a list. Na only God go safe us.
